Byung found himself floating in an endless dark void — a different plane than the usual subconscious space he had grown familiar with. The air felt heavier, more oppressive.
The small horned creature stood a few feet away, staring at him. Its skin was a deep ethereal blue, covered in slowly shifting golden marks. Its golden eyes held the innocent curiosity of a child. Yet Byung knew this being was ancient and extremely dangerous.
"You…" Byung said, voice echoing. "How are you inside my mind?"
The creature tilted its head, remaining silent.
Byung clenched his fists and asserted dominance. "This is **my** world. My subconscious. Everything here is under my control. I am the Goblin King. I decide what happens here. You are in **my** domain."
The creature's lips curved into a faint smile. Its voice was soft and childlike.
"Are you sure?"
The moment the words left its mouth, the void shattered and reformed.
