Echo moved like smoke.
One moment, he was at the edge of the winding path, his mirror images flickering around him like restless spirits. The next moment, he was closer, much closer his images spreading out, surrounding Suho from every direction.
Six images.
Seven including the real one.
All identical.
All smirking.
All watching.
Suho's hand tightened on the Eclipse Fang. The chain coiled around his arm loose, waiting, hungry. The runes on the links glowed faintly, pulsing with a rhythm that matched his heartbeat.
He didn't know this weapon yet.
He didn't trust it yet.
But he had no choice.
Echo stopped.
His images stopped with him.
Perfect synchronization.
"What is real..."
His voice came from everywhere, from the images, from the air, from the water below.
"...and what isn't?"
Suho's eyes darted between the images.
Which one is real?
Which one is the source?
I can't tell.

Echo raised his hand.
