This stash was one that contained information Grindelwald thought valuable. Ancient plundered tomes, journals, parchments and even a few rubbings of some sort of strange language I couldn't identify. Not just knowledge on "light" magics either but even those tomes on the darkest most forgotten of magics. I wasted no time at all packing it all away in my inventory that was frankly full of stuff at this point from all these stashes. I had enough gold, jewels, artifacts and priceless art to crash the economy in the british isles if I released it to the public. -
I took a moment to send Grindelwald to David through the system along with his wand. Naturally I also warned David that the man was not NEARLY as weak as his appearance made him seem. In fact I was fairly certain that one of the first things the old dark lord would do would be using some dark magic to restore his body to fighting fit. I knew he could because one of the tomes in this last stash was titled "the art of life" and had me curious, then disgusted. It was a book on the manipulation and theft of lifeforce from others, dark stuff to say the least.-
One such spell in the book drained the lifeforce of a victim and burned it to bolster the lifeforce of the caster. Doing this effectively deaged the user though only to a small degree. In order to become "young" again you'd need to subject dozens of people to this magic at least, maybe more. Because of this knowledge I flat out told David to point the old man towards the scavengers and tell him what they are about. Better them than someone not actually deserving such a fate.-
With that business done I shot into the air and headed for London. I was going to unload most of all this stuff into my vault to make room for other stuff. I was careful to manifest in the alley behind the Leaky cauldron so no muggles would see my arrival before entering Diagon alley. I walked unhurriedly to Gringotts and approached a podium. -
"What is your business?" the goblin behind the podium asked without even looking up from it's paperwork.
"Personal deposit into my vault, Ragkog should be in charge of my account." I said calmly.
The goblin stopped reading the paperwork and leaned over the podium to peer down at me with it's narrow small eyes.
"Name?" it asked suspicious.
"Alexander Drake." I say honestly.
"I see, wait a moment." it said before a paper airplane flew away from the top of the podium and down the hall.
Not more than a minute or two later the form of Ragkog came rushing towards me from the end of the hall.
"Mr. Drake a pleasure to see you again!" he said with a wide greedy smile.
"And you as well. Todays visit is different than usual however. I'm not making an exchange but putting the items into my vault directly." I explained.
"I understand. I imagined it would only be a matter of time with your marvelous ability to produce so much wealth at once. Naturally we at Gringotts know better than to ask the source of our patrons wealth." he said with a wink.
I wanted to argue that my wealth was legally acquired but considering most of the contents of the stashes was stolen I decided better. He led me to the railway system that Gringotts was famous for and we got seated. It was just as sketchy and fast as described. The cart never left the rails even a little but the G forces from the sudden drops and turns was straight up roller coaster nonsense. -
It was kinda fun honestly if you ignored the lack of seat belts or bars to hold you in place. Eventually we reached my vault and I used my key to open the large intricate looking metal door. The pile of golden galleons laying inside was impressive but the look on Ragkog's face when I started dumping my inventory out into the vault was priceless.-
The vault went from having a small fortune in it to having so much wealth packed into it I was probably one of the single richest people in the british isles. Now that my inventory was nice and empty minus a few things I couldn't take out like the car from Cyberpunk that would fry in a place with so much magic I now had a nearly empty inventory. With that done I left Gringotts and headed for the Leaky cauldron where I spent christmas. I got a few gifts but not much really. Terry sent me a muggle cookbook and Mike sent me a swiss army knife. -
Beyond them I got a tin of toffee from Hagrid, an alchemy primer written by Flammel from the man himself and some sweets from Dumbledore. Like I said it wasn't much but I enjoyed all of it. I wished Tom a merry christmas before heading out to find a spot to leave for my final destination for this break.
