{Name: Convergent core
Type: Ability/Unique
Description: Through the collection of various compatible powers of different origins into a single body. The source energy is changed fundamentally into a core capable of accepting an endless amount of powers by converging them all to a single system of energy. This ability can only exist by the unnatural influence of the system and thus is unique and impossible to copy.}
This description was the most unashamedly chinese story element ever. Ironically also completely understandable. In a way I had been planning on treading down the route of progression that was effectively doubling and tripling down on magic as a concept.-
My plan had been to basically keep stacking the multiverses magic systems on top of each other in hopes of becoming some monstrous magic god or similar. This new ability was basically the systems way of pointing out just how right that was. HP magic, Haki and Aura were all tied to the soul and body both and overlapped as a result. This overlap was just dense enough to trigger the fusion of them into this new ability that effectively removed the need to worry about compatibility with anything new I get. -
Much like the One piece physique this ability also didn't have a level because it's development was entirely based no my own efforts. If I added more power systems then it would grow, if I didn't it didn't.
Simple as that.
That said just getting it raised my haki and magic levels by one putting me now firmly on the same playing field as Dumbledore in terms of raw magical power alone. My skill on the otherhand was woefully behind and I fully intended to correct that matter next school year.
"Finally got whatever that was under control?" Qrow asked as he strolled over.
"Yes. That was my semblance, i'll need more training to fully utilize it but I have one of my minds holding the switch on the "off" position as it were right now." I say calmly.
"Hold on, minds? As in plural?" he asked with a weird expression.
"Well okay not EXACTLY separate minds. It's closer to being like multitasking but up here." I say tapping my temple "I can hold multiple thoughts at the same time because they are running parallel instead of on the same wavelength, if that makes any sense to you." I explained as best as I could.
"So like writing one thing with your right hand and a different thing with your left, but with your thoughts?" he asked for clarity.
"Precisely. I currently have three thought streams but will get more as my skill levels up. One I use to actively scan my surroundings with my observation haki, the other two I used to focus on everything else. But now I also have one focused on keeping my semblance from turning on." I said with a nod.
"Skill? Level up? What are you, a video game character?" he asked with a funny look.
"Skill is just what the system classifies things you get by effort rather than from birth or special resources. The system gives the skills and abilities a level that indicates the level of development I have reached with them. Leveling them up doesn't actually accomplish anything other than that." I explained.
"So you get stronger or better at using your skills and abilities and level them up as a result?" he asked and I nodded "Makes sense."
"Why are you here anyways? I assumed you'd be fussing over Yang or the hole in the door." I asked calmly.
"I already checked on Yang. She's better than fine. That haki stuff is just unfair with her semblance being what it is. Pretty sure she might actually be nearly unstoppable now actually, Tai's going to love that." he said sarcastically.
"Stamina, that's her weakness. She doesn't have endless energy." I say after a moment of thought.
"Obviously, I meant besides that." he said rolling his eyes.
"You're deflecting. You don't want to answer why you are here and not back there." I point out.
"Damn, thought you wouldn't notice." he cursed lightly.
"You are trying to gather information. Let me guess, Ozpin? Or rather Ozma as he was called originally." I asked calmly.
"You make him nervous. He wants to understand you so that goes away." he said not bothering to hide it since I already guessed.
"I am beyond him. Beyond any neat little file he could build to keep me in. Beyond his ability to control. This won't change. With each new world I connect to my resources change, grow, develop. And there is no pattern to these worlds. I could as easily pull a world with absolutely nothing special about it as I could one where everyone there is a god." I said frankly.
"That makes things difficult. Oz doesn't like variables." Qrow said seriously.
"It's a good thing he is only one person then isn't it? This world, it belongs to more than just him and his ex wife." I said calmly.
Qrow stiffened and any trace of drunkenness evaporated as his eyes locked on me.
"What did you just say?" he asked with a dark tone, an angry one.
"Ah, I forgot that he hasn't told you his messy history. That's right, he used to be married to Salem. They had kids too. Bet he neglected to mention that he is the reason Salem is the way she is too? Why don't you ask him? Let him know that I am fully willing to sell his story to you for basically nothing, that should put him in an talkative position." I said casually.
