Even if it was a little weird, the time Blake had spent with Myles' team wasn't nearly as awkward as he'd expected.
They were wary of him, obviously, that much hadn't changed.
But it wasn't as glaringly obvious as before. Nobody was constantly watching his every movement anymore, and they had actually started speaking to him normally.
Even Alexis, despite still being suspicious, had stopped acting as though Blake might suddenly pull out a formidable weapon and kill everyone.
Which, considering everything, was progress.
'Wah. This is quite a relief. I kinda expected them to take advantage of Myles' absence, and push me to say stuff or something...'
Instead, they had somehow settled into something almost normal.
"What are you doing?"
Blake's head immediately turned.
Myles was standing behind him.
"Oh!"
Blake smiled.
"Hi!"
Myles walked closer until he was directly behind Blake's shoulder.
"Hm."
His eyes moved briefly around the room before returning to Blake.
