Chapter 15 - Chapter 14 - Isla Sorna 12

So what your thoughts on having mc finding the space time vortex that used as entrance in hollow Earth can also be used to travel to other worlds.

I was thinking of the world he visits: Pandora from Avatar the movie and A song of ice and fire or House of dragon.

Anyway, suggest a series here.

Claire's eyes widened as the newly arrived dragon lifted one clawed hand and—of all things—flashed a peace sign at her. She froze, blinking rapidly, then let out a small gasp.

"Wait… no way… that's you?!"

The dragon's massive shoulders shifted, a low rumbling sound escaping his throat. It wasn't words, but the familiar warmth in the sound made her heart skip—she knew it was him.

She stumbled back a step, craning her neck as her eyes roamed over him.

"Y-You've… changed!" Her voice cracked between awe and disbelief.

"You're even bigger than before! You don't even fit inside the cave anymore!"

Her mouth went dry as the reality sank in. The creature before her had transformed completely. Where once he was a jagged, monstrous chimera of dragon and dinosaur, now he stood as something majestic—terrifying, yet beautiful. Black scales gleamed like polished obsidian, each ridge catching the light. Multiple horns curved proudly atop his head like a crown, and his glowing reptilian eyes burned with a fierce brilliance that pinned her where she stood.

"This is… insane," Claire whispered, her hands trembling as she took a step closer.

"You grew this huge so fast! And your appearance—" She let out a nervous laugh, almost giddy with shock.

"It's like you went from nightmare fuel to… some kind of dragon king."

Matias tilted his massive head, his glowing gaze locked onto her. Slowly, carefully, he lowered himself until his muzzle hovered just inches from her, hot breath washing over her face. Then, with the gentlest flick of his nose, he nudged her shoulder.

Claire gasped, then laughed weakly, pressing a hand against his warm scales.

"You… you're really something else."

Ace and Speckles, sensing her wavering emotions, chirped and nudged at her legs, tails wagging like excited dogs. Claire looked down at them, then back up at Matias, her heart softening.

"You don't need to say anything," she whispered, tears welling in her eyes again—but this time from relief.

"Thank you for saving me."

The dragon let out another low, rumbling growl, almost like a purr, his massive wings folding neatly against his back as if to reassure her.

Claire watched in quiet amazement as Matias carefully set down several thick logs he had carried. With deliberate movements, he pressed his massive claws against the wood, scraping and smoothing the rough edges. Then, with surprising dexterity for something so large, he interlocked them together in a neat frame, shaping them into what looked like a simple bed.

When he finally finished, Matias lifted his head and gave a small, wordless gesture toward her. Claire blinked, then managed a faint smile.

"You… made this for me?" Her voice wavered, but she nodded gratefully and lowered herself onto the makeshift bed. The surface was still rough, uneven in places, but to her it felt like a luxury compared to the cold stone floor.

"Thank you," she whispered softly.

Matias dipped his head in acknowledgement before turning his attention elsewhere. He began gathering fist-sized rocks, arranging them carefully into a circle. Into its center he placed a pile of twigs and dry leaves he had collected.

Once satisfied, he inhaled, then exhaled a short, controlled breath. A jet of flame burst from his jaws, igniting the pile instantly. Fire crackled to life, casting warm light against the cavern walls. Matias added thicker pieces of wood, feeding the flames until they burned steadily.

Ace and Speckles both shrieked in startled surprise at the sudden blaze. They scampered forward with curious chirps, noses twitching as they inspected the strange light.

Matias let out a deep growl, the sound reverberating through the cave like distant thunder. His glowing eyes narrowed as he lowered his head toward them—a clear warning.

The two dinosaurs froze, then backed away reluctantly, though their eyes never left the flickering fire.

Meanwhile, Claire finally felt warmth seeping into her body as the fire crackled steadily, its heat drying her damp clothes and keeping the biting insects at bay. She let out a shaky breath of relief, realizing just how much the dragon had done for her already. For someone so massive, so terrifying at first glance, he had been nothing but gentle.

"I… I don't know how to thank you," she murmured, her voice low but sincere.

Matias released a soft huff, lowering his great body onto the ground beside her. Slowly, he inched his head closer until his snout rested near her side. Claire hesitated for only a moment before lifting a trembling hand and gently patting the smooth scales along his muzzle. The warmth radiating from him was different from the fire—steady, protective, and alive.

Turning back toward the flames, she rubbed her hands together, but Matias's gaze never left her. He remembered the sound of her muffled sobs when he had first arrived, the way her shoulders had shaken in despair. For a creature like him, words were impossible—but emotions were not. He could sense her grief, her exhaustion, the silent fear that clung to her like a shadow.

His glowing eyes softened. He understood in his own way that she was lost, broken by circumstances she could not control. All he could offer was presence—his nearness, his warmth, and the comfort that she was not alone.

So Matias stayed close, lowering his head protectively beside her as she leaned into the fire's comfort. The steady rhythm of his breathing became a lullaby, and as her eyes grew heavy, Claire finally drifted into sleep.

Matias closed his eyes too, his thoughts lingering on the fragile young girl he had chosen to guard.

The next day, Matias woke and saw Claire still asleep, Ace and Speckles curled up against her while the fire crackled softly.

He lowered his head, thoughtful. Getting her home was impossible for now—he couldn't simply carry her on his back without risking her life or his own. All he could hope was that they were near the events of the second Jurassic Park, close enough for Claire to eventually meet Ian Malcolm and find a way back.

Until then, survival came first. Shelter was already secured in the cave, and food was simple enough—he could fish with ease and keep her fed. The reason why fish eat is that Dinosaur meat is tough and only has muscles instead of fat. There aren't any wild boars or normal animals.

But water… that was different. Without clean water, she wouldn't last long. Matias knew she needed something to boil it in, maybe a pot or canister left behind by humans. It wasn't much, but it was the best option.

For now, he kept watch over her, determined to provide the essentials she needed to survive.

Matias shifted carefully, pulling away from Claire, Ace, and Speckles so as not to disturb their rest. He wasn't concerned for their safety—he knew the two dinosaurs would react instantly if danger approached. Their instincts were sharp, and they would not hesitate to protect her.

Once he was far enough, he unfurled his vast, shadowed wings, the air vibrating as they stretched to their full span. With a powerful thrust, he took to the night sky, the cave shrinking beneath him as he soared higher. His eyes fixed on the distant silhouette of the abandoned facility.

He hoped to find pots or containers within its ruins, something useful for Claire's survival. If none remained, he would simply craft one himself. Either way, he would not return empty-clawed.

He flew until the outline of the abandoned facility came into view, its walls half-collapsed and strangled by creeping vines and overgrown vegetation. Landing silently among the ruins, Matias lowered his head and let out a low hum, sending a pulse of sound through the structure. The echoes returned, mapping out the empty halls and forgotten rooms in his mind. He searched for anything—pots, containers, anything that could hold water to be boiled.

Moving deeper, he also spotted tarps tangled beneath rubble and bits of metal that could serve as tools. His eyes gleamed when he reached what seemed to be an old trailer. Inside, dust lay thick, but time had spared much of its contents.

"Jackpot! I'm glad I found this place."

Lined along the counters were dusty yet perfectly preserved metal cups, pots, and even a food tray, untouched for years. Nearby, a small rack of knives caught his attention—blades dulled but intact. They would be invaluable for Claire, both for preparing food and for defending herself.

Using his psychokinesis, Matias carefully lifted the items free, dismantling broken furniture and debris that blocked his way. Among the forgotten shelves, he even found a stash of canned food, their seals unbroken and safe. A rare treasure.

With everything gathered, he prepared to leave, his claws full of salvaged hope for Claire's survival.
