Chapter 1: The Knight Slayer
The group was flying sky-high toward a realm that shouldn't exist. But it was time to end something… or someone.
Strom: "Are you sure this is the time when he is strongest?"
Book: "You asked me to teleport you to the time when he was in his prime. So here we are. This is his strongest form ever."
Dravyss: "Any special reason you want him strong?"
Strom: "Last time, I ended him easily. This time, I want a real fight."
Dravyss: "You're sure you can handle him?"
Strom: "Hell yeah. We can handle them. Dragon vs Dragon… and Knight vs Knight."
Book: "Don't get cocky, kid."
Dravyss: "Dark Strom in his prime… maybe we are underestimating him."
Strom (over confidence): "Let me cook."
Dravyss: "As you wish."
Dravyss landed near a ruined village. Strom continued alone with the Book, while she flew toward the castle to fight Malvek, the Dragon Wizard.
Strom: "Finally… a real fight."
Book: "Just don't regret your choice."
Strom (suspicious): "Okay."
He reached a place where he saw a knight in dark, dragon-like armor, searching through the ruins.
Strom: "Done crawling in trash?"
The knight turned instantly because he heard the voice same as his.
Dark Strom: "Who are you?"
Strom (removed his helmet): "Meet your death, Fool."
Dark Strom (impressed): "Wow. First time seeing this."
Strom: "Talk less. Fight more."
Strom charged with his spear, but Dark Strom stopped the attack and countered.
Spear met spear. Steel screamed. Sparks exploded. But it was the beginning.
---
Meanwhile, in Malvek's castle, Dravyss entered in her human form and found him sitting on the throne.
Malvek: "Who are you, woman?"
Dravyss (smiling): "Didn't recognise me, lizard?"
She transformed into her Dragon form. In this form, she was literally a true nightmare.
Malvek also transformed, ready to fight her. But he didn't know she wasn't just a normal dragon.
They clashed. Malvek was pushed back. His horns shattered under the single punch of Dravyss.
Malvek (angry): "Take this!"
He cast a blinding spell. The light forced Dravyss back. Malvek locked his teeth on her neck, but Dravyss grabbed his jaw.
Dravyss (Rage): "Then you take this!"
Her hands twisted. With raw strength, she ripped his head in two. Malvek's body hit the ground lifeless.
Dravyss (cold): "I'm the strongest."
Yet the victory felt distant because unease crept in. Something was calling her.
Dravyss: "What about this feeling?"
She followed the pull into a dark basement. A massive wall blocked every path.
Dravyss: "Let's see."
She punched it but nothing happened. The place was refusing her existence entirely.
Meanwhile, in the ruined battlefield, the war was savage because Strom wasn't just fighting—he was surviving for real.
Dark Strom was very different from what he remembered. He was faster, stronger, and even more durable; Strom's strikes barely fazed him.
Strom swung his spear, locking it against Dark Strom's, then landed a strong punch on his face. It was so strong that Dark Strom's helmet shattered in an instant, and he staggered back.
Dark Strom (wiping blood from his lips): "Impressive."
Strom: "I'm just started."
Hand-to-hand combat followed, where knuckles met metal and powers clashed violently. Strom was fast, but Dark Strom blocked every strike effortlessly.
A brutal punch slammed into Strom's chest, forcing him back. Dark Strom didn't stop—he kept attacking relentlessly, shattering pieces of Strom's armor.
But the Vamp in Strom's armor was the only thing punishing Dark Strom for every hit he landed.
Dark Strom: "Vamp? That can't stop me."
Strom (thinking): "He's way stronger than I remember… I can't defeat him like this."
Before he could plan, Dark Strom slammed him onto the ground and hurled him into a pillar. Strom crashed hard, barely able to stand again.
Before he could recover, another punch sent him flying across the battlefield. He hit the ground and didn't move.
Dark Strom: "Never thought I'd see this… A Strom comes to kill me and dies?"
He reached Strom and removed his helmet, revealing a face fully covered in the blood and eyes closed.
Dark Strom: "Always the same ending."
Before he could act, Strom launched a brutal uppercut straight to Dark Strom's jaw, sending him crashing to the ground.
And this time before he could even recover, Strom leapt onto him, arms locking tightly around his neck in an unbreakable grip.
Strom (remembering): "You better die the same as last time."
Dark Strom (confused, struggling): "What do you mean?"
CRACK!!!!
Strom (cold): "So I don't have to remember how I killed you in which timeline."
He struggled to stand but moved like an unbreakable knight. He picked up the book, smiling at his own situation.
Strom: "Why are you laughing?"
Book: "You planned to kill him… but look at yourself now."
Strom (anger): "You're the biggest asshole I've ever seen."
Book: "Same to you."
After that, Strom walked, broken and crawling, following the pull toward Dravyss. They had planned to meet there—but she never came.
Later after a brutal struggle on stairs, he finally reached the castle and collapsed in the main hall. Resting his body, he saw the corps of Malvek.
Strom: "Mom never loses."
Book (shocked): "She ripped him in two?"
Strom: "Yeah… she loves doing this."
Then he heard a sound like thunder, like something heavy crashing. He stood up and followed it, entering the dark basement, where he saw Dravyss punching the wall again and again— but nothing happened.
Strom: "What happened?"
She turned and saw him covered in blood. Instantly, she reached out and grabbed him with her claw, inspecting him like he was the most fragile thing in the world.
Strom: "I'm okay, mom. It's just some blood… nothing else."
Dravyss (carrying): "Nothing else? You are bleeding badly."
Book: "He faced his strongest human-type villain."
Strom: "Strongest? He was just a 3/10 villain… kinda mid."
They all laughed as Dravyss explained that she had been feeling uneasy, like something was calling her from inside, but that wall was unbreakable.
Strom heard her, walked toward the wall, ready to punch it, and the moment he touched it, the wall faded instantly—as if the place recognized him and everything allowed him to enter.
He stepped inside, Dravyss following behind. After a walk through darkness, his blood ran cold at the scene.
More than twenty Dravysses were chained, defeated, broken. They lay scattered, and panic rose the moment they saw him with her.
Red Dravyss: "Another Dravyss!?"
Golden Dravyss: "Please, God… I can't!"
Green Dravyss: "Please… mercy!"
Purple Dravyss: "A new bond always hurts… please, strong one, we will die after that!"
All the other Dravysses begged and prayed to him, trying to convince him to show some mercy.
And Strom saw something he believed had never existed in Dravyss…
Fear.
They all assumed it was Dark Strom who had brought another Dravyss, and that the torture would begin again.
Strom: "Please… I'm not him"
Silence fell. No one was ready to believe him, but silence was the only answer.
Then a fading voice came from the darkness.
?: "Kill me… and save them, please."
Strom and Dravyss followed the voice. When they reached the source, they saw a huge black dragon, badly chained till scale crack, her wings folded until bones broke, half-dead in the room, barely breathing because he allowed.
Black Dravyss: "Please… save them… please."
Dravyss (shocked): "How is this possible?"
Black Dravyss: "That stone chose him… I was helpless."
Dravyss: "What do you mean, helpless?"
Then Black Dravyss revealed her past and the origins of The Dark Strom.
She was a Dravyss from a different dimension, and the wizard there—Malvek—had stolen her planet's core gem and escaped.
Her council had ordered her to retrieve it, which is why she came to Earth. But Malvek hide so well that she couldn't catch him, and on Earth, her powers started fading. She needed someone to hold the power of her dragon aura.
She tried to find help, but anyone attempting to bear her power would die—their bodies couldn't survive it.
Black Dravyss: "I already knew he was evil… but I had no choice."
Dark Strom had tried once and survived the Dark Dragon Aura easily, but Black Dravyss already knew what he could do—and still chose to protect him.
Black Dravyss: "I thought my love would change him… but…" (she started sobbing)
After that, Dark Strom's betrayal became clear. He was working with Malvek all along, and with his new powers, he became Strom's hunter across different dimensions.
He killed countless Strom(s) across dimensions without Mercy, captured their Dravysses, and forced them to share powers.
All their powers were absorbed into Black Dravyss. With the chest stone she bore, the pendant of Dark Strom granted him unmatched strength, holding the dragon aura of over twenty Dravysses.
Black Dravyss: "I let him rule… because I was too weak to stop him. He killed them… my love created this monster… I'm the reason behind this… please, Strom… please… kill me."
Hearing this, Strom's blood boiled. He summoned his spear, and the place fell into dead silence. Every Dravyss watched him, questioning whether he would kill her or show who he truly was.
Strom (coldly): "No more chains."
He struck, breaking the chains, and Dravyss followed him. Together, they snapped all the chains, freeing every Dravyss in the room.
But Black Dravyss was too weak to stand. She collapsed on the floor, begging to die.
Black Dravyss: "It's my fault… they had to suffer… I'm weak… worthless…unwanted... please… kill me."
Strom: "No, mother… you are strong."
Dravyss grew in size, grabbed all the Dravysses, and flew upward, breaking through the roof. She was big enough to carry them all at once.
Later, in a safe and quiet place, everyone landed safely. For more than seven years, they had not seen sunlight.
Golden Dravyss: "Finally… I'm seeing the sun again. Thanks, son."
Red Dravyss: "I never expected we'd make it out alive."
Purple Dravyss: "We're alive because of you. Thank you."
Strom: "Is there any way I can bring them back?"
Book: "Dark Strom already destroyed all versions of me in different dimensions. I can't change the past in other universes."
Dravyss: "Is there really no way we can save them?"
Book: "No… everything is just destroyed."
Black Dravyss (broken voice): "I told you… it's my fault. I caused their deaths."
Pink Dravyss (eyes wet): "It was his birthday when he killed him."
Silver Dravyss (rembering him): "He died trying to save me."
Red Dravyss (anger): "It's because of her… we should kill her."
At her words, all the Dravysses tried to attack Black Dravyss, but Strom stepped in front of her. Dravyss also stood beside him, protecting the broken soul.
Golden Dravyss: "I want revenge."
Green Dravyss: "I want her blood! I'll kill her the way he killed my Son."
Red Dravyss (furious): "I'll rip her heart out."
Strom (cold): "No one will touch her."
Dravyss: "It wasn't her… imagine yourself in her place. Think what you would do."
Everyone fell silent because she was right—Black Dravyss only wanted to bring the gem and return home. All she got was betrayal and chains.
Black Dravyss (pain): "Forgive me, please… I never wanted this, but I was left without choice."
Then Book created a multi-dimensional portal connecting every universe together.
Book: "I can't change the past, but you all can return to your home planet."
Dravyss: "We can't save them, but you all can still have a better life."
Black Dravyss (crying): "My planet will never accept me again."
At first no one answer her but then magic really happened.
Red Dravyss (low): "Then come with me. It wasn't your fault, and you are not the reason my son died."
(A pause)
Red Dravyss (sobbing): "It was me... I failed to save him."
One by one, all the Dravysses faded silently back to their dimensions. They all lived on Earth, gaining a knight who loved them as a mother—but some evil version of him had taken them before.
Dravyss: "I never thought this was possible."
Strom: "I wonder what happened to him when he arrived first… he was weak, as I remember."
Book: "Because of experiments."
Strom: "What experiments?"
Book (explaining): "He captured them and forced them to share powers. One day, he pushed them too far, and that pain is what turned him into the Dragonless Dragon Knight..."
Dravyss (shocked): "It means when he attacked us the first time he... wanted me?"
Book: "Yes… he wanted to rebuild his powers again."
Strom: "But why did he come to this dimension and stay hidden?"
Book: "Only a few dimensions are safe from the Demon Lord… and that's why he was safe here."
Dravyss: "The nightmare finally ends."
Strom: "No mom!… not yet."
Chapter 2: The Real Cost of Mercy
After the breathtaking battle with Dark Strom and saving countless Dravyss, Strom was resting his head on Dravyss's knees while she wiped the blood from his face.
Dravyss (shocked): "My god… seven cuts at once."
Strom (calm): "I'll recover. Don't worry."
Dravyss (worried): "Don't you feel pain from them?"
Strom (soft): "No. It's nothing."
The physical pain was nothing compared to the pain he would feel after paying the price.
Thinking about that, Strom felt dead from inside, so he kept himself busy. Yet every successful mission made him more hollow inside.
Dravyss (gentle): "Feeling better now?"
Strom (faint smile): "Hmm... Just a few more moments and I'll be fine."
He closed his eyes, capturing the quiet moment with her. After this, there would be no one calling him "son" again. So he decided to live this moment for the last time.
Strom (serious): "Now only two villains remain… the big two."
Dravyss (curious): "Who?"
Strom (cold): "The Demon Lord and that Black Lizard."
Dravyss (confused): "We can't kill the Demon Lord. So how are we going to stop him?"
Strom (explaining): "He may be unkillable, but he can't reach his prime form in this dimension. His powers are like chains to his servants."
Dravyss (thinking): "So what if we lock him forever?"
Strom (agreeing): "Yeah. I was thinking the same. If we seal his servants, he can never awaken his strongest ones."
Dravyss (worried): "But who? All his servants are too strong to be sealed."
Strom (firm): "Not all. The Death Stalker is immortal in Earth form. If we lock him away, The Demon Lord will become a memory."
Dravyss (realizing): "You mean the Black Witch?"
Strom (nodding): "Yes. Near the Valkyrie village. We must stop her from opening that book."
Book (amused): "On your words, my friend."
Strom (ready): "Let's go then!"
Reality folded, and they returned to the past timeline, where a Black Witch near Astrid's village had opened a book and released a nightmare.
Strom (focused): "I'll handle her."
Strom entered the witch's house just as she was about to open the book. She stopped when she saw him.
Black Witch (suspicious): "What do you want from me?"
Strom (calm): "I want that book."
Black Witch (defensive): "But it's mine. Why should I trust you?"
Strom (smirking): "Does a beautiful lady like you really need such an ugly magic book?"
His words were enough for her. The Black Witch, who lived alone, melted at the compliment. She smiled and handed him the book while blushing.
Strom (charming): "Thanks for your kindness, love."
He left the house while the Black Witch was still smiling, remembering his words.
When Strom finally comes out from her house holding the cursed book, he sees someone floating with pure disbelief in eyes.
Book: "It was so cringe to watch, you know."
Strom: "Don't be jealous, if some handsome dude never complimented you."
He reached the Valkyrie village's outer line, where Dravyss, in human form, was watching Astrid chopping wood with her father. She seemed changed not a little but entirely.
Strom (soft): "She's smiling for real."
Dravyss: "You know sometimes I wish. I could see her smiling without hiding anything."
Strom (relieved): "Your wish comes true, mom. We succeeded in saving her."
Dravyss: "No!."
Strom (confused): "Huh?."
Dravyss (correcting): "We succeeded in saving them."
They walked toward the old ancient monument, where no one dared to enter.
Dravyss (decisive): "This will be the best place to hide this book."
Strom (agreeing): "Yes. An old monument everyone fears. It's perfect."
Strom dug a pit, buried the book deep, covered it, and placed a large rock on top.
Strom: "Stay away from my planet... you ugly cake decoration."
And that is how he locked the Demon Lord forever and saved countless lives worldwide, and no more cursed shadow.
Princess Zayda was saved.
Zanis never turned cruel.
Meanwhile in front of the monument...
Strom: "Now only one remains."
Dravyss: "Who?"
Strom: "Darkius..."
The place went silent after he spoke the name. Then Dravyss finally broke the silence, swallowing hard.
Dravyss: "But he is immortal. How could we kill him?"
Strom: "We aren't going to kill him."
Dravyss: "You know if we show mercy, he will kill blindly. Even your real parents… we should kill him."
Strom: "Killing him will give me satisfaction. But sparing him will save lives. We need to stop him."
Dravyss: "And how?"
Strom: "He become corrupted when he learns about the Demon Lord. So if we stop that from the beginning then nothing will happen."
Dravyss: "Yes… we just need to hide that book from him."
Strom (lying): "Yeah. But I can't survive the air on your planet remember. So my plan is: you go 'stop' him, then come back, and we will go home."
Dravyss: "Great idea."
She transforms into her Dragon form. Her wings spread, ready to launch into the air.
Strom steps back, hiding his tears, because he knows… it's his last time seeing her.
Then Dravyss looks at him and says something softly.
Dravyss (soft smile): "That spell didn't work for me... Son!."
Silence. Pure silence.
Strom (low voice): "Mom…"
Dravyss: "I know you used that memory-erasing spell on me. But it didn't work."
Strom breaks from inside. Now it's clear he wasn't the only one lying.
Dravyss had been acting too, all for his happiness. But in the end, she couldn't just leave him like this.
Strom (explaining): "I… I'm sorry, Mom. I didn't want to hurt you. I… I was just…"
Dravyss: "You don't need to apologise. I know you did this for me. But I'm sorry that I lied to you too."
Strom: "It's okay. I lied badly… and now you're sad because of me again. How foolish am I, to make you cry even in a goodbye?"
Dravyss: "No, you are not a fool. You are my son. You are the best."
Strom (a little bitter laugh): "Best? You suffered for forty thousand years just to babysit an idiot for twelve. I'm not best, I'm not worth loving."
Dravyss: "Love don't see worth, my child."
Strom stayed silent head down, tears falling slowly, he was wrong about one thing.
'He thought love needs reasons'
Dravyss: "I know everyone will forget about you but I want you to remember this."
"... You are Strom, The Dragon Knight, son of Dravyss."
Strom look at her with tears in his eyes.
Dravyss: "Blood or stone doesn't matter. You are my son, and you will always be mine, forever."
Strom (voice breaking):
"If rebirth exists… let me be your son again."
Dravyss: "I'll be waiting… for you."
She finally flies sky-high toward her home planet and Strom keep looking until she disappeared.
The earth behind her getting small, memories felt heavy. She closed her eyes let the tears flow and—
Dravyss: "I'm sorry for not keeping my pinky promise."
The Book changes the timeline and sends her to the moment when Darkius is searching for the book.
She reaches the spot before him and hides the book that contains the truth about the Demon Lord.
And so, Darkius never turned into that corrupted wizard.
He was never cast out of his world.
The Demon Lord never gets a chance to enter this dimension again after the celestial war.
A new timeline is created.
One where Dravyss never came to Earth.
The one where she is only the strongest guardian dragon… not a mother.
---
Meanwhile on Earth, Strom and the Book watch the sky.
Book: "She succeeded."
Strom (low voice): "I know."
Book: "You really changed everything."
Strom (requesting): "Can you please teleport me to the old monument in the Crystal Sand Desert… the one we talked about our plan?"
Book: "Of course, my friend."
The Book does it.
Strom enters the ruins and takes the wooden swan Dravyss once bought for the house.
Strom (a deep breath): "Now… let's end this."
The Book glows for the last time.
Strom appears in the present timeline.
November 5th. Evening.
Two days after his birthday.
Everything is fixed… and everyone has forgotten him like he never exist.
Book: "Usually, I don't offer help. But I think you need it."
Strom: "What?"
Book: "If you want, I can erase your memory. You can start a new life. A life where you don't have to suffer anymore."
Strom (thinks, gripping the swan): "No. I'll live with them."
Book: "Huh?"
Strom: "They aren't just memories. They are the reason I exist. I can't live without them."
Book: "As you wish. But I have a question."
Strom : "What?"
Book: "I never taught you that spell. So how did you use it on Wraith's father?"
Strom: "You know mind reading, right?"
Book: "Yes. But your mind is so complicated that I can't read it."
Strom: "Now try."
They both close their eyes.
The Book reads everything then moments later his eyes snap open.
Book (fury): "WHAT? YOU ALREADY KNOW THE FUTURE?"
Strom: "Yes. I already know the future."
Book (confused): "But how?"
Strom: "At first, I didn't ask you to send me to the past. I asked you to teleport me in the future 'I want to create'. The invisible future didn't cost anything."
Book: "Then why don't I remember anything?"
Strom: "I saw the spell in that future… and I used it on you."
Book (breaking): "You used me as a tool. We had a deal, didn't you remember?"
Strom: "I remember. And the deal is completed in my own way."
Book (anger): "Then tell me. What did you gain from this sacrifice? What do you have... now?"
Strom: "You still don't understand, do you?"
Book: "What do you mean?"
Strom: "You're right. Maybe I'm alone… but I never failed anyone."
The Book falls silent.
For the first time, it feels like nothing more than a tool, not a god-forged being, guardian.
Strom: "Even after seeing the future, I made mistakes. I didn't see everything. I'm not perfect."
Strom (continue): "I didn't expect Mom to realise about the cost."
"I didn't expect this price.
That's why I hesitated first."
"I didn't kill Dark Strom in his prime."
"I didn't redeem Volkthane in this way."
"I never expected Sifen to catch me."
Book (angry): "You are not a hero."
Strom (no regret): "Yes!... I'm The Villain of my own... Story."
The Book finally understood.
Strom was never chosen by fate…
yet he had still reached a place even gods could not control.
Strom (quietly): "Before you leave… is there anything you want to say?"
Book (low): "Yes."
The Book fell silent for a moment.
Like it had remembered something it should have forgotten.
Book (cold): "You don't deserve that borrowed time."
"…You never did."
Strom didn't answer immediately.
The wind itself seemed to stop, as if the world wanted to hear his response too.
Then finally…
Strom: "I know."
His grip around the swan tightened slightly.
Strom (quiet): "From the very beginning… I knew."
An awkward moment of silent spread in the room then...
Strom (asking): "You said you have all knowledge. Tell me… is there any chance we will meet ever again?"
Book (cold and calm): "It would be better for this world if we never met... Ever again."
Strom nods silently as the Book opens a portal and vanishes in light, leaving him alone in a world where no one knows him.
Strom takes a deep breath.
Victory feels hollow.
The price has been paid.
And he becomes a stranger for everyone...
After that, his eyes caught something he had been ignoring for a very long time.
The empty wall in his house.
Strom: "I know what I have to do."
He went outside and gathered flowers, mud, coal, broken stones, old paint.
Anything that could leave a mark.
He returned and began painting on the empty wall.
Eyes.
Lips.
Hair.
Skin.
Blush.
Teeth.
Every detail writing his soul again.
He painted everyone he loved.
Not as memories of pain, but as proof that they once existed in his life or he exist for them.
Dravyss.
Wraith.
Sam.
Astrid.
Helena and Myra.
Elena.
Zyphus and Violet.
Lisa.
Angela.
Nia.
Natalya.
Even the Book also.
All of them in one frame.
And himself among them in the center.
At the bottom, he didn't sign his name.
He wrote only two words:
"My World."
Strom is forgotten by everyone.
But that is not the full truth.
Natalya still remember him as a unknown saviour, who save her family.
Volkthane still remembers two unknown friends who gave him a home.
Aurora still remembers the nameless knight who save her from death.
Helena remember the human who push her over the cliff.
Crysera's mother still remembers the mysterious woman who saved her child.
Whole village of Roni the 'Samurai' remember the unknown holy spirit.
Across dimensions, countless Dravyss still remember a Strom strong in power,
and strongest in love.
And only the Book of Time and Space carries the full truth along with him.
____A Life That Was Never His
As Strom changed everything, a new timeline was born.
A boy woke up late, rushing down the stairs while his father scolded him for being so careless.
Sometimes his mother yelled at him for bringing the wrong vegetables from the market.
And sometimes his little sister ruined his hairstyle just for fun.
It was Strom.
But in a completely different life.
A normal human life…
A life that 'The Dragon Knight' could never ever afford.
From the shadows between worlds, the forgotten knight watched them.
Not with regret.
Not with jealousy.
But with satisfaction.
In the garden, Strom and his eight-year-old sister were busy planting flowers.
Alice (teasing, smiling): "You know Mom is making my favorite food today."
Strom (mock annoyed): "You're always so lucky. They make your favorite stuff every week."
Alice (proud, laughing): "Of course! I'm a kid. Ha ha!"
Strom dropped the gardening tools, lifted her onto his shoulders, and walked toward the house.
Strom (soft): "Not just a kid… but my cute little princess too."
Alice laughed, holding his hair as they disappeared inside.
The house was warm.
The world was safe.
And somewhere far away, in a life erased from history,
the real Strom smiled with peace in his eyes.
---
Meanwhile, on the Dragon Planet, Aeltharion.
Darkius was saved by Dravyss,
but his own darkness became the reason for his fall.
The Dragon Council caught him learning forbidden dark magic and because of that, he was imprisoned forever in the dark cage of Aeltharion.
And that made her heart heavy.
Dravyss sat alone, watching the horizon, tears falling when someone approached her.
Zyron: "Still thinking about him?"
Dravyss: "I truly loved him… and he turned out like this."
Zyron: "I think you should move on, Dravyss."
Dravyss: "Leave it. I don't deserve to be loved. No one will love a dragon who only knows how to kill."
Zyron (annoyed): "Come on, Dravyss! We've been war partners for more than twenty thousand years."
Dravyss (hesitated): "You are royal. I am... I'm just a knight."
Zyron (confidence): "Forget the titles. Forget the past. Come with me."
Dravyss stayed silent.
The betrayal had wounded her too deeply, she had no words to reply him.
Zyron: "As you wish. But if you ever need a shoulder to cry… you know where I'll be."
As Zyron turned to leave, Dravyss slowly followed him.
She finally understood.
She had loved the wrong dragon.
The real love had been beside her all along just waiting for her reply.
Zyron: "If we can be partners in war… then I promise, I'll be your partner in life too."
Dravyss (slightly hesitated): "Thank you… for... for this love."
Zyron: "Well I actually have a question."
Dravyss: "What?"
Zyron: "That name on your wrist. 'Strom', you know him? what is that?."
Dravyss: "I don't know. I don't even remember how it was carved into my skin."
Zyron: "Anything else?"
Dravyss: "It feels like my body is here… but my soul is left on Earth."
Zyron: "But you never went to Earth."
Dravyss: "That's why it feels so strange."
Zyron: "Come. The council has called us."
Dravyss: "Yes… let's see what they need now."
When Dravyss once told Strom she was cleaning blood from her claws,
she was actually carving his name into her wrist.
Even if the universe forgot him, a mother's heart refused that rule.
A foolish, beautiful act
that kept his name alive on a whole different planet.
---
Aftermath
The evening was cold.
The moon was bright and the world was peaceful without knowing why.
Strom sat on the balcony, sipping tea drawing something in a paper.
It's a Drawing of an old wizard holding hands of an crying child in a dark forest near a small cave.
Strom: "I'm not your experiment... anymore."
Then his eyes caught something.
The wooden Swan's and its wings were moveable.
He twisted them once and inside, he found a hidden message of Dravyss not much but only three words she often used.
"My Dragon Knight."
Strom finally understood something.
Dravyss never asked, "Who is next?" because she was impatient but she was unsure when the mission truly ends.
She asked because every answer meant a little more time together.
Another village. Another journey. Another campfire.
As long as there was a next mission, there was still a tomorrow with her son.
And the wooden swan was never just a souvenir, not a gift.
Because she was afraid the mission would end before she could say goodbye.
So if she ever left without the right words...
The swan would say them for her.
Strom: "I am The Dragon Knight..."
The End...
