Chapter 10 - 10.A troublesome situation

{Quest:- Obtain a Divinity core as soon as possible.

Rewards:- 300,000 Karma, 80,000 Lifespan and 700 charm points.}

"Oh why the sudden generosity, is it very hard to obtain." He asked in suspicion and surprise.

"A Divine core isn't something easy to come by. The heavens are able to produce one in over a billion years and even then its not a guarantee that it will appear."

"Where can I find it then?" He immediately asked not hiding his interest.

Things related to the Heavens were always hidden and very difficult to know and understand.

"There is one in the Fallen Heavens. That abandoned but dangerous realm has one and an ancient Divine core."

"Fuck."

He cursed. Why was his luck always so shitty these days?

A place so terrifying that most of the Ancient Gods fled without a second thought.

It is highly classified as a death zone for many who seek great fortune.

By Fallen Heaven also known as Aaru, you have guessed it right, it was but a part of the original Heaven which was torn apart due to complex issues among God's of that Era.

It had been billions of years since it appeared but few came out alive.

Even so, they had only ventured outer regions.

"First things first, lets go for the Star Universe then, for now."

Earlier...

As Emriel was preoccupied, a shocking event happened in the Star Universe.

The humans were on the verge of losing but...

All the Devils suddenly stopped the offensive and swiftly retreated.

In a few seconds, they reunited in the void leaving their opponents baffled and relieved to take a break from the intense exchange.

"What are they upto?" The Empress looked on in confusion seeing a mass of Devils disappear where they came from.

"You nolonger have to worry about them. They are gone for good."

His body appeared without notice inwardly startling her.

She had many questions to ask him but seeing him seat and take out a fishing rod, words froze and she shut up.

"Where is Lucifer?" A soft voice asked. Asteria appeared behind him.

"Probably healing and cursing me now." He smiled in amusement throwing the rod further.

Sophia who was looking at them in a distance shook her head.

'They look like a young couple. Are all Gods this carefree like him.' She wondered.

"Am just free and cool, not like those old bastards." He said and glanced at her with a smirk.

Her heart nearly popped out of the chest as realisation dawn on her.

'He can read minds!!' She nearly screamed out loud.

"Your scaring her shitless." Asteria said seeing her expression.

"Lucifer was really bad news to you and your people. His motives and purpose were hell bent to be fulfilled in whichever way possible."

"I had thought the battle would take a few months or years but this quick."

I just chuckled at their bewilderment. Honestly speaking, battles between high level existences of the same realm normally take longer but...

That is for ordinary ones, the only beings I have to worry about are those in the Legendary realm above Immortal realm.

To which they are extremely rare to come across in the vast Cosmos.

Asteria's expression shifted from time to time.

This was too ridiculous to be true.

For those who don't know Lucifer, he is an ancient and legendary figure revered by many beings in the Divine realm.

Many people only fear and respect absolute strength for which he has it all.

As the Devil race progenitor, his influence and power rank at the very top.

All progenitors are in a powerful Faction known as Sekhem. They are a total of 7 race progenitors each at the very Peak of Immortal realm.

Just one is enough to shake the foundation of a Pantheon with thousands of Gods.

And that very being was defeated just like that.

'Emriel, who are you really.'

Her hand massaged his shoulders while lost in thoughts.

The Empress swiftly excused herself and hurried off to access the situation in her domain.

DEVIL REALM.

Dark Castle.

Dark red clouds scattered the dark sky. The atmosphere was at times hot and sometimes cold.

On a vast plane, a mysterious dark Castle stood proud and tall.

The air around was too oppressive.

Thunder cracked and dark red clouds condensed around.

Inside the Castle, a spatial crack opened and a figure came out.

It was a very handsome man though he looked paler than usual.

He immediately went to his chambers to recuperate.

The Divine world is too vast, in it being various races who are its natives.

Each race have their own territories or you can call them domains with strong rulers.

One of the many races is the Human race.

Throughout the Divine world, there are only two Human Empires that have existed for several generations.

The Divine Empire and Empyrean Empire.

The Divine Empire is believed to be the strongest human Empire in existence with a profound foundation.

***

Empyrean Empire, Imperial Palace.

Two figures sat at the highest peak inside a tall tower.

A prosperous city could be observed clearly at this point.

The top was an open space which enabled view of a beautiful scenery of the Imperial Palace.

Two women of otherworldly beauty and aura sat across each other on a small table with several edibles served.

They were too beautiful beyond mortal comprehension.

One had long blue hair and emerald eyes, the other long golden hair and molten golden eyes.

"I heard that you were ambushed again in the God Domain, thankfully nothing bad happened." Avillian said looking at her dear childhood friend.

"Don't worry too much about it, though unfortunate, they were dealt with." Seeing her concern, the Imperial Princess said to ease her friend's worry.

"The God Domain is very dangerous right now. I got information that a great God in Olympus has fallen but they didn't clarify anything." Avillian revealed a shocking secret known only to a select few in the mortal Domain.

Matters of Gods couldn't easily be accessed by mortals but these two were an exception with means to enter and leave that Domain.

"It was one of the 12 great Olympus Gods, Poseidon. I was also shocked by the news recently when I returned home." The woman was really confused by this.

It's not every day that a God dies moreso a high ranking one capable of resurrection with the escape of the divine soul.

But...

"His divine soul was extinguished with no chance of reincarnation. He faced a 'true' death."

Those words sent a wave of silence between the two women.

Not only these two but everyone who heard the revelation felt a cold chill behind their backs.

The information was too bothersome that it made their scalps ting.
