World Setting: Modern
Essence: It is a form of energy that is present throughout this universe. It is also the main source of power behind every ability or thread. To give an example: It is electricity that is flowing in your cables to power your lightbulb.
Thread: It is as the name suggests, Thread. This world is made or woven of Threads. The concepts exist in this universe because the thread of the given concept is woven into the fabric of the world. To give an example: Time in this world exists because a thread of time is present.
How do Humans and creatures gain powers?
Every soul in this world, when created, has a fate linked to it. Depending on the soul's journey, it creates affinity towards certain concepts. And a Thread of that particular concept attaches to that soul, giving it potential to use these concepts in reality. Threads can also be hereditary and can be passed down through generations
To give an example, if there is a character 'A' that causes destruction and death in the near future. Then, concepts of death and destruction get attached to his soul, giving him the potential to use these concepts.

To give an example: (F-) becomes (F) and then (F+) and then (E-)

Weapons and Artifact
In this, too, exist seven ranks.
1) Weapons
These are usually created by bones and body parts of a dead beast of a particular rank.
Guns cannot be created using the bones of these beasts.
Example: A Layer 2 beast bone will be used to create a Rank E sword.
2) Artifacts
Artifacts are dropped items that act as external abilities when you pass essence through them.
There are Two types of artifact
Natural Artifact: These are a type of uniqueness characteristic that are dropped when a creature or humans of above layer 3 are killed. Sometimes layer 2 can also drop an artifact.
Man-made Artifacts: These are made from Humans who are Artisans and have Threads related to modifying and creating.
