After a few seconds, she pulled her hand away.
"Can we talk privately?" she asked.
Lana nodded. They stepped aside.
Jamie spoke in a low voice. "The talisman was swapped," she said. "By the delivery person."
Lana's expression darkened slightly. 'So it's the delivery chain…'
She exhaled slowly. "Understood."
Returning to Nicholas, Lana explained everything.
Nicholas clenched his fists. "So what should I do now?"
Lana calmly took two talismans and handed them to him.
"This one is genuine," she said. "And as compensation… You may keep both."
Nicholas froze.
He stared at the talismans in disbelief.
