Realizing this made him feel deeply ashamed.
Taking a deep breath, James rubbed his forehead helplessly.
"I was so damn wrong..." he muttered weakly. "Now that you're pointing everything out, it feels like every mistake was mine."
Lana chuckled softly. "Of course not."
Her tone remained gentle instead of accusatory.
"Some things were also Gwen's fault. When she became upset, she should've communicated more clearly instead of bottling everything up. She overreacted a little."
Then her gaze sharpened slightly. "But she failed because you failed first."
James froze again. "So rather than blaming her entirely, you should reflect on yourself too."
Then Lana suddenly narrowed her eyes suspiciously.
"I'm pretty sure Gwen must've sent you messages saying things like, 'You're being inconsiderate,' or 'Please try to understand my feelings better.'"
