Lucian suddenly spoke without hesitation. "Then it would be even better."
Lana stared at him. "No. Absolutely not."
She immediately shook her head.
"And what about our money? We would lose everything if we disappeared for that long."
Lucian's expression became complicated.
'If I don't tell Lana the truth now, something even worse might happen.'
He finally sighed and sat down on the chair opposite her.
"Lana, you have the soul of Goddess Nytheris inside you."
Lana froze.
For a moment, she wondered whether she had heard him correctly. "What?"
Lucian continued.
"Not only that, but that soul is extremely dangerous."
His voice became serious.
"It is the soul of a goddess who has been worshipped by countless people. We have already asked others to stop everyone from worshipping her. You should stop as well."
Lana shook her head in disbelief.
"No way. Goddess Nytheris isn't like that. There must be some kind of misunderstanding."
