Hearing those words, Lana studied his face for a moment before giving a slow nod.
"I know who you are. You are Simon, the one who had an ambiguous relationship with Thessy and was partially responsible for exposing me as the fake daughter."
Simon immediately raised both hands in surrender.
"But that turned out to be a good decision, didn't it? Look at where you are now. You wouldn't have become who you are today if you had remained with your family."
Lana gave a short, humorless laugh. "That is what you think."
She turned her gaze toward the passing crowd. "Anyway, I don't have time to talk with idiots. Leave while I am still asking politely."
Simon remained seated. Instead, he leaned forward and rested his forearms on his knees.
"Lana, I am going to be completely honest with you."
The playful look disappeared from his face.
"After you left, I kept thinking about you. I regretted pushing you away. I regretted not saying goodbye properly when I left."
