The Sumerian Mother of Genesis was cast into the Imaginary Numbers Space, and King of Uruk led his people to break with the gods, marking the divide that heralded the end of the Age of Gods.
In truth, pinpointing when the Age of Gods began to fade requires looking further back, to an era when gods roamed freely. It was then that the "great" Sefar fired the first, and most painful, shot against the divine.
Of course, Sefar aimed to absorb both humans and gods, targeting civilization itself. Gods and humans were its components.
Gods were born from humans, grew strong through them, and humans thrived under divine protection. This symbiotic bond was shattered by Sefar.
An extraterrestrial entity, its armor was highly resistant to divine attacks. No matter how conceptual their powers, gods couldn't escape the framework of "civilization." Sefar's armor was designed to counter it.
When Sefar nearly eradicated the gods, the planet made a choice. Fueled by the prayers of countless beings, it forged a stellar weapon... the Sword of Promised Victory, Excalibur, fully unleashed!
Now, that familiar aura, that power, was wielded by a mysterious human man... used to grill meat!
The sight struck Ishtar like a bolt. For a moment, she wondered if her connection to her vessel was glitching, causing such a bizarre hallucination.
Then, she saw them look up at her... some calm, some curious, some wary, some surprised, but none afraid.
"Tohsaka Rin?" Morpheus, the surprised one, recognized the face but quickly realized his mistake. Despite the identical appearance, her aura was different.
"Venus's domain, divine traits, and Servant characteristics…" Morpheus squinted. "A Demi-Servant like Mash, a human body fused with a god… Ishtar?"
"That power is indeed Ishtar's," Artemis nodded, confirming the Sumerian goddess's essence.
"Talk about lazy... couldn't they design a new character instead of reusing old faces?" Morpheus muttered, then smiled, raising the grilled meat. "Hungry?"
"…"
A human who remained so casual after identifying her was no ordinary mortal.
She could tell he bore Servant traits but was undeniably human, not a Demi-Servant like her.
The Servants present... the Demi-Servant and the black-armored knight... had extraordinarily potent Saing Graphs, brimming with immense mana.
Even the human Master, a woman, radiated mana far beyond a normal human's.
Two Grand-tier Saing Graphs, neither actual Grand Servants, plus two formidable humans, a god, and other Servants... this group could disrupt the era's balance, forming a fourth major force.
If they allied with any faction, they'd dominate, forcing others to unite against them.
Morpheus's attention shifted from Ishtar. Despite her Tohsaka Rin-like face, he wasn't interested. Instead, he picked more fruits and handed them to the quiet Jack the Ripper.
"Here, eat one. It'll help you grow~"
He sounded like an uncle luring a child.
Jack glanced at Ritsuka, who nodded, before swallowing the fruit. Enhancing a Servant's Saing Graph was rare and valuable.
A Saing Graph was like a reservoir: if too small, no amount of training or mana refinement could overcome its limits.
Grand Saing Graphs were the largest among Heroic Spirits, capable of holding a main god's full power.
These crystal fruits, imbued with multiple divine authorities and the concept of primordial creation, excelled at enhancing Saing Graphs. They couldn't surpass Grand-tier but could match it effortlessly.
Ishtar froze. She'd just witnessed an ordinary, weak Servant transform into one with a Grand-tier Saing Graph!
Her mana surged, expanding her reservoir while adding power, like enlarging a pool and filling it partway.
This drew her attention to the strange glass-like fruits.
Landing, she ignored the group, walked to a shrub, and plucked a fruit. Holding it, her expression grew serious.
Why did a newly born mystic fruit carry the concept of the "most ancient"?
Could it be…?
Recalling the sudden divine descent and world-altering power, she turned to Artemis. "Your power created these?"
"Just experimenting," Artemis admitted candidly. "I'm not fully familiar with my power, so I tested it here. Once history is restored, everything resets, so it won't affect the world."
Restoring history... Ishtar seized the key point, eyeing the time travelers. "So, you're here to oppose us?"
Restoring history meant erasing errors. Everyone in this era, good or evil, was an anomaly.
Even if they only eliminated the root cause... the one misusing the Holy Grail... once history was fixed, all beings here, gods and humans, would vanish, as this timeline was erroneous.
Ishtar had her own agenda. She didn't intend to harm humanity but wanted to follow her own path, not others'.
Quetzalcoatl, Ereshkigal, and even the vengeance-driven serpent goddess shared similar individual goals.
Whoever was strongest would prevail.
Ishtar judged these time travelers likely to succeed.
Unless the goddesses united, no single one could match this group.
Should she ally with them or the goddesses?
Ishtar pondered.
Then, Morpheus let out an "ah," and under puzzled gazes, began a summoning ritual.
A woman with short golden hair, golden eyes, and ornate armor emerged from the void, her divine aura and majesty unmistakable.
A goddess!
When Ishtar saw her lance, she knew it could pin the world!
Not just its surface... the lance bore creation-level power!
Another creation authority?
Were creation powers now commonplace?
Ishtar stared at the stern, warlike goddess, who glanced at her with immediate caution.
Through her contract with Morpheus, the Lion King identified allies instantly, focusing on Ishtar. "An enemy?"
"Not an enemy," Morpheus said, pointing to the fruit. "I called you to ask if this would benefit your divine core."
Despite her status as a phase's main god, boosted by spreading tales, the Lion King's growth was slow due to limited believers.
A phase god's power, unbound by a divine core, had a different ceiling, but for quick boosts, enhancing the core was faster than relying on legends.
Unless he could spread her myth to millions instantly.
Using supreme feminine power to enhance the Lion King's female divine core was a viable, if untested, option.
"My core is already growing," The Lion King said. Morpheus grabbed her wrist, startling Ritsuka with his doctor-like inspection.
He sensed her core's strength, surpassing high gods, nearing main god status.
As he debated having her eat the fruit, she swallowed one.
The fruit's mana wasn't the focus. Its divinity was stripped to raw authority, merging with hers. Storm and thunder aligned well, lunar power was diluted, but the scant creation-destruction authority integrated perfectly.
The Lion King filtered what she absorbed.
Her core leaped forward, transforming in an instant, breaking into main god tier!
It continued rising, approaching creation god status!
This should've been impossible, but her phase god status... ruler, king, creator in mythic tales... resonated with the fruit's Primordial Shakti power, triggering this anomaly!
Ishtar was stunned. A Servant reaching Grand-tier was surprising, but a high god becoming a main god, nearing creation god, was beyond shock... she felt the heavens had reopened.
She stared at her own fruit, torn.
Should she eat it? Would it cause harm? But seeing such rapid growth, she was tempted!
The group turned to her. Morpheus waved. "So, Goddess Ishtar, shall we have a chat?"
Chat about what? Destroying this era, fixing all errors, erasing everyone here?
"If I said I could offer you... a few gods in this era, how many are there?" Morpheus asked.
Ishtar paused, raising fingers. Morpheus guessed, "Five?"
"Me, Quetzalcoatl, my sister Ereshkigal, Gorgon, and the slumbering Mother of Genesis Tiamat."
"What a mythic mishmash. I'd need to write a whole book," Morpheus muttered, then spoke up. "What if I offered you a world where you could exist without affecting reality... a divine realm?"
The Lion King glanced at Morpheus, a faint smile in her cold eyes.
She knew he was starting another god-abduction plan.
