The clan residence remained as quiet as ever.
From above, Richard saw two middle-aged men with black hair fishing side by side in a small river.
They looked similar, differing only in their aura.
"Mm…" One of them narrowed his eyes toward Richard the moment he revealed himself.
The other followed his gaze—and was even more shocked.
Aside from Aldric, Richard knew that the other was Leonardo—his grandfather, Rebecca's father, and Aldric's own grandson.
Richard smiled at them before descending.
"Boy, you finally showed up," Aldric said.
"I didn't know that seven years had passed when it felt like only a single day to me," Richard replied. "But Grandfather, you also disappeared for a long time. I thought you had gone into the river. Turns out, you chose to give this opportunity to me instead. I don't know how to thank you."
