Elisa groaned in pain as she was placed in between two rails, trying to use her legs.
"Focus on standing first. You don't have to move just yet," the nurse encouraged. "You are doing a good job," she kept going, as Elisa stood with shaky hands and legs. She was carefully around her just in case she needed the support. Elisa was sweating, her eyes watery as she forced herself to stand upright.
The pains spread throughout her body and she shrieked, her knees bucking. The nurse quickly swept in, holding her steady, but Elisa brushed her off.
She straightened her legs and forced them to remain like that for a while. Mira watched with an aching heart as Elisa was making desperate attempts so she could walk again .
It's been over thirty minutes and Elisa still stood there, eyes red, drenched with sweat all over. The nurse, stunned by her perseverance, had to speak up.
