Hyunki's eyes locked onto mine.
Room 103. Right next door.
Ren noticed first.
He glanced at Room 101—Haejun's domain. Then 102, where I stood frozen. Finally 103, where Hyunki waited.
His expression brightened with the unmistakable delight of someone witnessing a disaster that wasn't his.
"Well." Ren's voice dripped amusement. "Isn't this cozy."
Hyunki simply stared at me for a moment—something unreadable flickering behind his sharp features—before turning toward his room without a word.
His door opened. Closed.
The silence felt louder than applause.
Ren adjusted his duffel bag, still grinning.
"Enjoy the accommodations, Jiwon." He started down the corridor toward the A-rank floor. "I'm sure you'll find them... memorable."
Completely unbothered about the demotion. As if rank was just another costume to try on and discard.
I watched him disappear around the corner.
Then I looked at the three doors again.
Haejun.
Me.
Hyunki.
I stepped inside Room 102.
