Chapter 197 - Cap.184 - Building cores - Part.2

Ringo began to work, he picked up the plant stones first and started to slowly fuse them, various types of stones, some light green, others dark green, some crystalline, others as black as pitch, but each one of them had plant energy within them.

The stones took on a gelatinous form, consistent with his Evolutionary Polymer, it took him a few minutes to achieve the final result.

It looked like an open, crystalline rose with a green energy flowing from within it, it was incredibly beautiful, and the energy it emitted had already reached Grade A.

Ringo became excited and began to fuse the other three types of living minerals.

The water crystal looked like a drop of water, a deep blue, almost black.

The wind crystal was a perfectly smooth sphere, with a colorless energy visible only through the refraction of light, spinning rapidly everywhere, like a contained typhoon.

The earth crystal, on the other hand, literally looked like a smooth, purple 3D hexagon, if it weren't for the contained energy floating within it, it would have looked like just a sculpted rock.

The three crystals had a peak energy of Grade B, but had not yet reached Grade A.

Soon Ringo began to fuse the three together: Earth, water, and wind.

The resulting crystal was incredibly beautiful, its shape resembled the hexagon of an earth crystal, but the purple itself was a bluish semi-crystalline form. Inside, it seemed as if a storm was brewing, with energy flowing almost invisibly, requiring close observation to see.

The energy emitted by it had already reached Grade A, and to Ringo's delight, he picked up what he called the storm crystal and the crystalline rose crystal.

Evolutionary energy enveloped them both, and they rapidly transformed into that familiar viscous liquid, attempting to merge.

This time Ringo sensed the great incompatibility between the crystals, one exuded a calm life, while the other seemed like a destructive storm.

Ringo increased production even further, trying to reconcile the two, he didn't even attempt to control the fusion, as that would consume even more energy, and he barely had enough energy to fuse the two.

Half an hour later, it was all over.

In front of Ringo, a rose appeared again, it was beautiful, a blue crystal rose with a grayish stem and crystalline leaves.

Despite its mineral appearance, it still seemed to move with the wind, even though there wasn't any in the room, almost as if it were alive.

Ringo swallowed hard, feeling that he had created something interesting.

It was no longer a crystal, instead, it was truly alive. He had created a completely new mineral plant with it.

He could sense the wildness of this rose, as well as its beauty, the storm still seemed contained within it. Ringo began to use his energy to discover more about this rose, fortunately this process consumed much less energy.

When he stopped, he understood, this rose carries the storm, in fact it loves storms, it would probably thrive planted in a region of endless storms, even with the worst of storms, it could stand there, frozen like a rock.

-Pretty, truly, like a completely new life, I'm going to call you Storm Rose.- Ringo sighed.

This rose was alive, although it was just a simple form of plant life without thought or soul, it was still alive.

Ringo used his evolutionary energy to make the rose produce some seeds, then he stored them, hoping to take them back and plant them.

This is a material that can reach Grade A, although unlike what he did by fusing various materials with energy, another one of these flowers would take an incredibly long time to reach Grade A again, he could let Emma and Aurora work together to speed up the process.

It also wouldn't be easy to cultivate them, they needed to be planted in rock in a constantly stormy environment to grow, and the energy they would absorb wouldn't be insignificant at all. With enough roses, a planet could be drained until it dried up by the time they reached Grade A.

Ringo thought that in the future he might find a compatible secondary dimension to try planting them, secondary dimensions absorbed energy from the void, which was a completely renewable type of energy.

Unfortunately, that would have to wait for the future, for now, he would use this specimen for his new weapon.

Satisfied, he put away the Storm Rose, but he didn't stop yet, waiting for his energy to regenerate, his body working overtime extracting energy directly from the nightmare dimension.

The next moment he removed the ice crystal, although this thing wasn't weak, it still fell short of the volcanic dragon's heart.

This ice crystal core was actually taken from a semi-spiritual living creature, the core acted as the physical source of that creature. In this case, the core was also "alive", making Ringo's Evolutionary Polymer ability usable.

Ringo gathered the ice-based minerals he had, there weren't many, but to upgrade the ice crystal a little more, it was entirely possible.

Ringo picked up a pitch-black purple object from among the mineral materials riddled with cracks, it was a Lich Phylactery, but it was just a Grade C heart, merely the heart of an unlucky young Lich who had encountered a mage.

If it were an ordinary creature, Ringo wouldn't be so focused, but this was a creature from a secondary dimension based on death, an endless ice dimension with so many undead that it could easily cause an undead disaster in an entire star cluster.

Even Grade S mages don't dare to frolic there much, the creatures are extremely problematic to deal with. Finding a Lich Phylactery, even a Grade B one, is quite rare. Besides being an ingredient for potions and alchemy, it also serves as the basis for a mage to transform into a Lich if they are nearing the end of their life.

In other words, even this Grade C Lich Phylactery was expensive for Ringo, costing the price of a Grade B material, but it would be worth it if he could upgrade this material to Grade A.

In any case, as soon as he found this Phylactery, he changed his mind, he reversed who would receive each armor. Hila would receive the "Lich" armor, which would match her death-based energy much better, while Eva would receive the fire armor, which would perfectly match her Pugilist Flames.

It wasn't that Ringo wanted to be partial to Hila, but their situations were different. Hila could grow extremely fast by absorbing souls, while Eva needed time.

In that case, even if he gave Eva the strongest equipment, she would ultimately take longer to master it than Hila.

Ringo began the process immediately afterward, using the Lich Phylactery as a base. He continued adding materials to it until it reached the peak of Grade B. The cracks had already healed, and Ringo felt that this thing had a strong attraction to the soul.

He transformed into a nightmare and felt he could enter that thing easily, with a brief glimpse of the future, knowing he could leave whenever he wanted, he entered the Phylactery.

Inside, he felt a pleasant sensation, as if that place were perfect for his Nightmare form, it felt like entering a hot spring on a cold day, very pleasant. Even so, he was only satisfying his curiosity, and he soon left that Phylactery.

Returning to the room and retrieving the Phylactery, he took the Grade A ice crystal and fused its energy with that of the Lich's Phylactery, the two quickly turned into liquid as they merged.

The room temperature dropped rapidly, but luckily it was a magical inn and the cold energy didn't leak out.

He was merely using the crystal to enhance the Lich Phylactery, thus the assimilation time was much faster, when it was finished, what remained in Ringo's hand was a smooth, oval, black stone.

If it weren't for the strong attraction of its soul and the cold it emitted, it would seem like an ordinary river stone.

-A complete Grade A Lich Phylactery...- Ringo smiled, satisfied.

That was enough.
