Marine Headquarters, Marineford.
The docks were silent.
The salty scent of seawater hung heavy in the air.
"..."
Sakazuki stood alone at the edge of the pier.
The Fleet Admiral's cloak, emblazoned with the word Justice, draped over his shoulders. His figure was like a dormant volcano, upright and immovable. Only the specially made cigar between his fingers flickered in the sea breeze, thin smoke drifting away and vanishing into the sky.
His gaze was locked on the distant horizon.
Suddenly, the sea split apart.
A streak of icy blue tore across the ocean, racing straight toward Marineford.
It was a bicycle of unusual design.
Where its wheels passed, the deep blue sea froze instantly, forming a crystal clear road of ice that stretched endlessly forward.
A sharp screech echoed as the bike braked to a halt before Sakazuki.
Kuzan swung off the bike and leaned it casually to the side.
"Sakazuki. I'm here."
His voice still carried that familiar tone, but the laziness was gone. What remained was cold resolve.
Sakazuki raised the cigar to his lips and drew in deeply, then exhaled.
They did not need words.
One glance was enough.
All past disagreements and rifts felt insignificant before their shared goal of tearing down the World Government and reforging justice.
"Let's go," Sakazuki said.
Magma erupted.
Ice surged.
Two absolute forces burst from beneath their feet.
Sakazuki became a streak of dark crimson light. Kuzan stepped onto an ice bird. Together, they shot into the sky, heading straight for the Red Line.
Just as they were about to leave the airspace above Marineford, Sakazuki halted abruptly.
He looked down toward the plaza below, where Vice Admiral Onigumo was directing troops as they prepared for the next phase.
"Onigumo," Sakazuki said, his voice carrying clearly.
"Contact G Five."
"Tell that kid Hawk."
A complex emotion flashed through Sakazuki's eyes.
Trust. Expectation. And the resolve of a senior clearing the path for the next generation.
"The remaining battles belong to him. Hold the line and finish this cleanly."
"Myself…"
Sakazuki's voice rose, like the roar before a volcanic eruption.
"I will raise the banner of justice for this sea!"
Onigumo's body shook.
He looked up at the two figures about to depart and instantly understood.
The Fleet Admiral was launching a surprise strike on the Holy Land.
Onigumo snapped his legs together, back straight, and saluted the sky with absolute precision.
"Yes, sir!"
New World, the frozen battlefield of G Five.
With a final strike, Bartholomew Kuma brought his palm down.
Saint Saturn's head exploded into a mist of blood.
What remained on the ice were only writhing fragments of flesh, struggling futilely to reassemble.
Kuma stared at the grotesque remains.
In his mind surfaced Ginny's final smile, her face covered in blue scales yet still gentle.
Then Bonney, curled up in pain beneath the sunlight.
Grief and rage converged, condensing into pure killing intent.
He slowly raised his hand again.
"Jaygarcia Saturn," he said, his voice hoarse and unyielding.
"Die."
"Ultimate Pressure Cannon!"
Invisible repulsive force compressed to its absolute limit.
All the flesh on the ice, the ice itself hundreds of meters thick, and the vast sea beneath were crushed into a perfect vacuum.
A bottomless black void opened on the surface of the ocean.
Every trace of Saturn's body was ground down to its most basic particles and banished forever into the abyssal depths.
There would be no resurrection.
High above, winds howled.
Hawk's figure carved a blood red afterimage through the sky.
Punch after punch.
Each strike carried top tier physical power and flawless martial technique.
Each strike was wrapped in supreme Conqueror's Haki.
One blow slammed directly into the chest of Saint Nusjuro's horse skeleton form.
Bone fragments and blood sprayed as Nusjuro was sent flying backward.
In his hand, the First Generation Kitetsu, a Supreme Grade blade that had accompanied him for centuries, was now covered in cracks, wailing as if in pain.
His vaunted immortality slowed under the erosion of Hawk's red black Haki. The wounds burned with agony that felt like his soul itself was being torn apart.
"Hawk!" Nusjuro roared in defiance, forcing himself to steady his body and raise his sword again.
He never got the chance.
"Too loud," Hawk said coldly.
Nusjuro's pupils shrank.
Hawk was already beside him.
The fist wrapped in crimson Haki filled his vision.
This punch was aimed at his head.
Hawk intended to erase him completely.
The impact was absolute.
Nusjuro's head, along with the terror frozen on his face, detonated into a cloud of blood.
The massive skeletal body stiffened in midair before crashing onto the ice below, shattering it into fragments.
Hawk looked down at the twisted bones and writhing flesh and raised his fist once more.
He would pulverize every remnant and leave no chance for regeneration.
Just then, a figure arrived at his side using Moonwalk.
The voice was low but urgent.
"Admiral Hawk."
"Emergency intelligence."
"The Fleet Admiral has taken Admiral Kuzan and launched a surprise attack on the Holy Land, Mary Geoise."
The moment the report ended, Hawk's pupils contracted sharply.
A chill surged up from deep within his chest.
His thoughts collapsed into a single name.
Fleet Admiral Sakazuki.
Im is still there in the Holy Land.
