Chapter 227 - Chapter 227: Marine Admiral’s Wedding! (Epilogue)

Marineford, Marineford.

The plaza that had once been drenched in war and blood was now transformed. Countless pure white Marine flags fluttered in the breeze, interspersed with olive branches symbolizing peace.

Sunlight poured over the newly restored fortress, casting a warm golden glow on every inch of steel.

Today was Fleet Commander Renn Hawk's wedding.

All eyes of the world were fixed on this moment, broadcast globally through the Den Den Mushi.

The plaza was already packed with guests.

On the left stood kings and nobles from Marine allies around the world. Their garments were splendid, their expressions respectful, their voices hushed so as not to disturb the solemn occasion.

On the right stood Marine officers. Their posture was upright, their spirits radiant, faces glowing with genuine pride and enthusiasm.

"Ha ha ha! Sengoku! Look at that cake it's enormous!"

In the front row, Garp threw decorum to the wind, pointing at the towering multi-tiered wedding cake dozens of meters away. His eyes sparkled, and he was practically drooling.

The cake was layered, adorned with flowers and cream, topped with intricately crafted miniature warships made of sugar.

"Damn it, Garp! Sit down! Mind your manners!"

Sengoku's forehead veins bulged as he desperately tried to stop his old comrade, who looked like he might charge forward at any moment to steal a bite.

"What's the difference? It's going to be eaten anyway," Garp replied cheerfully.

"Hawk wouldn't skimp on this."

"..."

"Zephyr, look."

Hibari held her tea cup with a faint smile, tilting her chin slightly. "Your students are all here."

Zephyr followed her gaze. Not far off, three former Admirals had gathered together.

"Ah Weddings are such a hassle"

Borsalino lazily complained while holding a glass of champagne. "There's too much to prepare: guest lists, security arrangements… it's exhausting~"

"My leisurely retirement is ruined~"

"Borsalino, if it's too much, you don't have to come."

Kuzan held a glass of iced water, his gaze clear and focused, a far cry from his previously lazy and decadent image. Now serving as the Marine Corps Inspector, he patrolled the seas to maintain the new order, busier and more energetic than ever.

He gazed at the peaceful scene before him, emotions swelling. All of this was because of that young man.

"How could it be like this? This is a big day for Hawk!"

"I couldn't possibly miss it~"

"..."

Sakazuki stood beside them, arms crossed over his chest, silent as ever. His expression remained stern and indifferent, but a careful observer could see the faint upward curve of his tightly pressed lips.

Today was the wedding of his daughter, Hibari.

It was also the moment when his most cherished second-year Renn Hawk reached the pinnacle of his life.

He remembered that afternoon in the East Blue, when Hawk faced his questions and declared "Absolute Justice!" with unwavering resolve.

He recalled the Summit War, when Hawk decisively executed deserters and annihilated two Shichibukai squads. That was true justice.

Hawk was not only a Marine Admiral, but also the perfect heir to Sakazuki's will. Entrusting his daughter to him filled Sakazuki with unparalleled pride and satisfaction.

"!!!"

Suddenly, a commotion broke out nearby, shattering the tranquility.

"Moss head! Did you get us lost again?!"

"We're supposed to be in the A-section guest area, not the F-section family area! That's half the plaza away!"

Sanji, dressed in a pristine white suit with a perfectly tied bowtie, pointed angrily at Zoro's nose, as if about to breathe fire.

"Ah? I was just scouting the area, in case of enemy ambush!"

Zoro, also in white formal attire, was one of Hawk's groomsmen. Yet now, the two stood face-to-face like fighting roosters.

"Scouting the area? Who in their right mind would ambush Marine Headquarters at a wedding?! You're clearly lost! What a complete idiot!"

"Major General Brow! As a Marine Vice Admiral, I order you to shut up!"

Zoro's tone left no room for argument.

"What did you say?! You were only promoted to Vice Admiral one step before me; once my big brother is married, I'll also be promoted to Vice Admiral!"

"But you're a Major General now!"

"I'll be a Vice Admiral soon!"

"But currently…"

"DAMN IT!!! You wanna fight?!"

The two were about to come to blows in the middle of the wedding. Officers and generals around them sighed, helpless.

"Enough of this noise!"

A cold voice spoke. Tina, a lady with a cigarette between her lips, stepped forward. Black iron railings rose from the ground like cages, perfectly separating the two.

"If you two keep this up, I'll tie you up and throw you in the sea for the fish to eat."

"Brigadier Tina~ You look absolutely stunning today! That dress must have been made just for you!"

Sanji's expression changed instantly; his eyes turned into hearts as he rushed forward.

"..."

Zoro snorted, arms crossed, eyes closed, ignoring the display.

"Those two idiots… they're high-ranking Marine officers, yet they're still the same as ever."

"Ha ha, maybe that's just their kind of teamwork~"

Not far away, Dan, Smoker, and Peacock watched the scene and shook their heads, smiling.

Then.

"DONG DONG DONG "

The solemn and melodious chimes echoed through Marineford.

The plaza fell silent.

All eyes turned to the end of the red carpet.

They had arrived.

Amidst everyone's gaze, Hawk appeared slowly, draped in his pure white Fleet Commander's cloak.

No medals adorned him. He carried no weapons. Only his uniform, the emblem of Marine Corps authority, was visible.

Yet the aura of world-commanding power, the majesty forged from mountains of corpses and oceans of blood, made every person present hold their breath.

He was the ender of the old era, the creator of this one.

Beside him was Hibari, dressed in an immaculate white wedding gown.

Under the soft veil, her delicate face glowed with shyness and happiness.

She held Hawk's arm tightly, feeling the warmth of his palm, as if grasping her entire world.

From their first meeting to this moment, this man had given her security and a future she had never known.

Step by step, they walked the red carpet, receiving the blessings and attention of all.

As they passed Sakazuki, Hawk paused briefly, nodding respectfully to the former Marine Admiral, his future father-in-law.

Sakazuki nodded firmly in return. Words were unnecessary; understanding passed silently between them.

Hawk and Hibari finally reached the center of the plaza, ascending the raised platform built from white marble.

Sengoku had been waiting there for some time. Today, he would serve as the officiant.

Looking at the perfect couple before him, at the young faces filled with hope and passion below, Sengoku felt the new era the Marines had created.

A glimmer of tears formed in his old, cloudy eyes.

He remembered the Great Pirate Era, countless times bowing before the Gorosei for military funding, the humiliation, and the compromises made to maintain "balance."

But now, this young man had shattered it all with an iron fist.

Clearing his throat, he picked up the Den Den Mushi in his hand. His loud, solemn voice rang through Marine Headquarters and across the world:

"Now, I declare…"

"The wedding of Fleet Commander Renn Hawk and Hibari officially begins!"
