Chapter 392 - Chapter 393: Equipment Upgrade Meeting

Chapter 393: Equipment Upgrade Meeting

A Night of Hard Work.

Don't misunderstand, Ron's work targets were still only Max and Caroline. Although the sensual scene last night made Ron a little fantasize, with two excellent gatekeepers watching, Ron could only stay at the level of thinking.

In the end, he reluctantly said goodbye to the Victoria's Secret Angels and went upstairs with Max to Sophie's apartment.

Of course, it wasn't all without benefits. With five gorgeous competitors downstairs, Caroline worked extra hard last night.

"BOSS, everyone's here. Shall we start?" Giselle woke Ron from his reverie. Ron looked up and saw all his subordinates sitting on one side of the long table in the conference room, and Leonard and other scientists sitting on the other side.

"Ron, is it appropriate for us Caltech scholars to be here for your IRS internal meeting? Or should we go down to the shooting range and have some fun? You can call us after your meeting." Leonard said uneasily.

"No, that's even less safe. I can't forget the time you shot yourself in the toe on your date with Penny at the shooting range. Letting a bunch of nerds play with guns at the shooting range without anyone watching is tantamount to murder!"

Ron's words drew a burst of laughter from the agents, while Leonard was so embarrassed he wanted to disappear into the ground.

Ron was still traumatized by what happened last time. Having handled guns for most of his life, this was the first time he'd ever seen someone so stupid as to shoot themselves in the toe. Playing with guns without supervision could easily result in a shootout and everyone being wiped out.

Of course, you couldn't call them stupid; after all, no scientist is mentally challenged. It's just that each has their own areas of weakness.

Ron waited until everyone had finished laughing before speaking again. "Besides, this meeting involves some scientific research, so I think it's absolutely necessary for you all to be present. Any questions?"

"Yes~" Raj raised his hand like a good student. "Why didn't you invite Sheldon along?"

"Look at my dear men," Ron pointed to the side. The row of men sitting there, while not as physically imposing as bodybuilders, each exuded an aura of menace. Hearing Raj's question, all eyes turned to him, the murderous intent like a tangible force gripping his throat, making it difficult for him to even breathe.

Raj almost wet himself in fear.

"Although Sheldon is quite unlikeable, I don't want to see my own brother get beaten up. Is that a sufficient reason?"

Raj nodded pitifully.

"Hey! Don't look at our little scientist like that. You're scaring my guest half to death," Ron complained. The murderous aura dissipated, and Raj felt a sense of relief.

"Alright, back to the main topic, Giselle, you can turn on the projector."

Giselle turned on the projector. The first image was of a corpse half-modified with mechanical parts, even the skull with the wrench mark was half metal. Of course, the wrench mark was Ron's handiwork.

"Ugh~" The three squeamish scientists gagged, but driven by their intense curiosity about science, they forced themselves to continue observing the mechanical structures in the images.

At Ron's signal, Giselle continued to change the images on the projector, highlighting the details of the mechanical structures one by one. The level of detail drew repeated praise from Howard, the most professional among them.

"My God, who designed this mechanical system? It's incredible!"

"That's not important. What's important is whether you can replicate the same structure to make my powered armor smaller." Ron thought for a moment and gestured with his hand. "Ideally, this size, bigger than Iron Man's suit, but definitely not bigger than the one Obadiah Stane used in the first Iron Man movie."

"No problem. If I have a sample to refer to, I can even make a suit that's only two inches taller than you. But you have to maintain this size, otherwise, I can't guarantee you can fit yourself in."

"Don't worry, as a professional agent, my self-discipline is beyond your imagination." Ron agreed nonchalantly.

"You called us here just to discuss this? Howard alone would have been enough, why did you bring us along?" Leonard asked, puzzled.

"Of course, it's because there are other things. My men have some additional needs regarding equipment, and I feel only inspired scientists like you can meet them. Now, it's time for you to discuss things amongst yourselves. Of course, if any idiot asks you anything about a hoverboard, just ignore them. Have a good chat."

With that, Ron stood up.

"Wait!" Rajesh asked hastily, "You mean you want us to stay with these… no, these respectable agents?" Rajesh looked frightened, but Ron patted him on the shoulder nonchalantly.

"Don't worry, they're all lovely guys. I'm sure you'll love them after you get to know them. They can even escort you back to school, making you look good among your colleagues. But don't forget the confidentiality agreement you signed; you can't tell anyone about anything you see here.

Of course, if any of the FBI or CIA are too foolish to cause you trouble, just give them my name and tell them I'll thoroughly investigate their accounts. I guarantee they'll treat you to ice cream."

Ron's mockery of the FBI and CIA again drew laughter from the agents. No one saw the worry in Ron's eyes.

He hadn't convened this equipment upgrade meeting immediately after returning from his hometown for no reason.

Although Eteon had failed this time, Ron knew they would definitely come back. And after this battle, Ron believed that the enemy would never make the same mistake of installing chips to control all their weapons again.

It would definitely be a head-on battle. Or, Ron could try to find Eteon's base first and take them out, but that was a matter for later.

Before this, the contents of Fort Detrick had always been a sword of Damocles hanging over his heart, especially after the Russian who invented the snowflake virus told him that before it existed, there was a "youth version" of the snowflake virus that Eteon had sold to the US military.

He strongly suspected that that virus might be the culprit behind the future global crisis!

Perhaps he'd have to destroy the things in Fort Detrick before he could take down Eteon.

But as mentioned before, that was a matter for later; his first priority was to attend a newborn's baptism.

"I really am a busy savior," Ron remarked, looking at himself in the mirror as he changed into a black suit.
