The sound in the air seemed to freeze, no one could talk or no one wanted to talk. The first nurse stood near the pillar like frame of the room that supports the other beams becoming the main pillar in the room.
The design of the rooms were carefully constructed to give each patient their own place of zen and peace. Standing by their beds, were brownish black stools placed at each sides of their beds with small drawers to place flowers. The scene out the window is also a sight too spanning to beyond the city gates and possibly the grasslands of the outer city.
"Ah Mr. Eryndor what brings you here today?" the nurse originally in charge of Riven and Lily asked in shock, forgetting today is visiting day. The head nurse that came to inform her had left just leaving him and her with Riven and Lily.
Honestly it wasn't surprise he would show up after all he was the one who rushed with them last week both in his arms as he used his house's name to register.
"I came to say hi. It is visiting day or is it not?" he said with a straight face , the flowers still in his arms before placing them down. "I brought these for you guys, the vendor on the street told me it brings good luck and fast recovery." He tool a step back after dropping the flowers waiting.
'Not only fighting that many opponents but still having strength to carry two people here and coming back almost the same week? These kids are something else.' These were the thoughts of the nurse in the room with them as she stepped forward and created a visiting card out of thin air and stamped it before handing it to him. "Here, if you go around in the hospital you're bound to get stopped to ask for your visiting pass. How did you even pass security in the first place?" her face turning red with anger.
A confused Kairo just stood there with the card 'buy they just let me.' He knew the security was afraid of him and he just left there and came straight here.
"My name is Mrs. Patoria, I'm the nurse in charge of your guild mates. I assumed there would be more of you but it's just the three of you should I call you three clever or stupid." She said as she checked Lily's throat before leaving the room while asking Kairo to follow her to the hallway for further chatter.
The hallway was half lit, filled with aspirin and blood indicating a patient was rushed through these corridors some time ago. The nurse looked turned around after closing the door. "Say Kairo, what is your goal with you forming this Faction?" the nurse's expression became tranquil as she asked the question. Kairo scratching his head thought about it hard: " for the betterment of our respective houses I guess."
Scoff
"For the best. You ought to be disbanded immediately you know. Your right wing is manaless, he can't go against most mages of your generation to top it off he's hot-headed while the girl is not of the fighting type, she hates conflicts and is not very talented like her brother even though they have the same genes. You know she's weak." The nurse said while raising her tone showing slight irrigation in their beliefs.
At this moment it hit him, he hasn't been with strong people, he still chooses to be be with weak people.
"I don't know what your aim is but I don't care. I've seen their capacity to adapt, to learn and grow and believe they will grow." He stood on this words with his face beaming with trust.
"You mages of this generation are all so light headed. Do you know how many of your type are in this hospital bedridden or half dead unable to fend for themselves again?" with this the nurse's goals became clear as day she wanted them to leave the path of battle mages, she was sick of seeing young people get injured.
"why can't you all pick easier professions?"
Kairo was dumbstruck by this set of questions.
Truly his desire wasn't to become a sword or mage for the realm or school, his purpose was something deeper and more dangerous but as of now he had no choice but to settle where he is right now The middle realm.
He had to be patient if he was ever going to ascend but of course who knew this ambition but him and the 7 gods in his head?
He moved forward and hugged the nurse who was on the verge on crying : "If you cry now who will stand as the sword and mage for the sick? Who? I will never come back here with an injury neither will Riven and Lily because I believe in them that after this incident we'll become stronger and I speak on their behalf too."
The nurse was baffled, she had so many things on her mind startin with the hug but kept them in. " I se, you better not come here with any injuries from now on you hear me?"
