*Ding*
Luck's eyes snapped open as the notification bell sounded in his head, immediately opening his grimoire with eagerness.
Sure enough, he had gained a whopping one hundred and twenty stat points, which he instantly poured into his stats.
*Ding*
[Congratulations! You have reached Gemma Rank [Low-Tier]]
[+30 skill points!]
*Ding*
[+15 Skeleton Fighters!]
[+12 Skeleton Grand Archers!]
[+3 Bone Golems!]
Luck barely heard what it said as a warm feeling rushed over him. It was the feeling of a 100+ stat points strengthening you in one go. It was euphoric. It was exhilarating. It was-
(Dangerous) Luck thought as the feeling slowly began to subside. This feeling of gaining such a massive increase in strength could be fatal to a person's psyche if they were not careful. It made one feel overconfident. Like, there was nothing they couldn't do.
That type of mentality got one killed in this world.
Shaking his head to rid himself of useless thoughts, Luck slowly stood up, noticeably wincing as several joints in his body popped and cracked.
He didn't make it all the way. He flopped back down almost immediately as his limbs were numb from unbalanced blood circulation.
"Oh?" A head accompanied the voice, staring down at him from the branch above him. "I'd take it you enjoyed your beauty sleep."
"Cut it out with the snide remarks and just tell me how long I was out, Harry."
Harry smirked, but did as Luck asked. "You've been sitting there like that for the past two days."
(Well, that should explain my numb muscles.) Luck thought as he stretched and twisted his body, in an attempt to forcefully speed up his now normal blood flow. His stomach growled. ( And the hunger.)
Luck opened his Shadow Inventory, taking out a sandwich as he immediately bit into it. He needed to rest before he continued his preparations.
Fortunately or unfortunately for him, though, it seemed his grimoire hadn't finished with him.

[You can summon a new undead!]
[You have been given 3 options!]
1. Summon 5 Undead Bone Guards
2. Evolve Undead Shield Warriors to Undead Shield Champions and gain two.
3. Summon a named Bine Guard
(Option 3. As it always has been.)
*Ding*
[You have chosen option 3. Please name your summon!]
Luck rubbed his head as he sighed (I really have to start a list of names to give these guys.)
Minutes passed as Luck pondered on a good name for his new undead.
In the end, he shrugged as he said, "Valerian. It seems like a good enough name."
*Ding*
[Name imputed!]
"Come forth, Valerian." Luck said as a skeleton the size of a fully grown adult appeared. It held a tower shield that was about the same size as a gauntlet, constructed of more bones covered his free hand.

Valerian grows stronger the more he has to defend.

He had obtained his first meat shield.
(Bone shield, to be precise.)

[Skills shop is now available!]
Luck immediately opened the Skill Shop tab. His heart both shook and fell at the contents.

(A whopping three hundred and twenty points) Luck thought sullenly as he looked at his status page.
His own thirty points, which he had spent two days unconscious for, seemed measly in comparison now.
(There must be a solution to this ) Luck thought with a slightly crazed expression as he skimmed through the pages of his grimoire.
Fortunately, they actually seemed to be a solution conveniently placed in the latter pages of the book.
[Exchange Rate]
Beast core value x 1/2= Skill point value.
(Mathematics isn't really my strong point.) Luck thought with a sigh as he suddenly grinned. He perfectly understood this equation, though. It was the solution to his current problems.
Luck's mana raged as Luck emptied twenty D-rank cores of their energy, becoming fuel for his goal.
*Ding*
[+300 skill points]
Luck smirked, "Buy them all."

(It seems that the point cost does not align with the grade of the spell.)
Luck thought, feeling the knowledge pouring into his head. Maybe it was determined by the usefulness of the spell. I mean, it would be annoying to learn a rare spell only to find out it didn't have much practicality in his area.
In the end, Luck just shrugged. Either way, he had fresh additions to his arsenal of spells and skills.
Luck glanced at Valerian, who was still standing beside him, occasionally moving his head to take in the surroundings.
"You don't really have much going for you, do you?" Luck said, gesturing at his armour and weapons.
Valerian looked at himself as he sadly shook his head. The one made gear on him only equated to Common rank.
Luck grinned, "Don't worry, I've got you. We can't have any of my team members walking around unprotected.
Luck's shadow expanded as a shield and armor rose out of it.
He handed it over to his Bone guard, "They may not look like much, but they're very precious to me right now since they're Rare items."
Valerian nodded as he grabbed the armor and shield. The armor and shield were obviously part of the same set, sharing the same black color and gold designs.
Luck smiled with satisfaction. Surprisingly, this set was part of the useless ones that Gard had gifted him. On their first day of travel, Luck had been familiarizing himself with the two skills from the Grand Blacksmith. Especially Integrate.
The skill, as the name implied, had the power to fuse two items, combining their skill sets and rank to create something that was leagues stronger.
Luck was still a novice with this spell, but he had succeeded in making all the equipment Gard had displayed in his storefront Rare grade.
(As expected of an Elite rank skill.) Luck thought with a knowing smile.
Those skills were probably the best gifts that Gard had given him, as they would benefit him immensely in the long run, or maybe throughout his lifetime, as they continued growing stronger.
