Chapter 1 - I thought death was the end—until I opened my eyes in another world. But fate played a cruel trick on me. I was reborn as the Final Boss, the one destined to be slain by the Hero. And that Hero… is n

Title: The Villain Who Refused FateChapter 1 – When the Rain Took Me

Rain always felt peaceful.

That's what I used to think.

But as I lay there, staring at the blurred sky, the rain didn't feel peaceful anymore. It felt cold. Heavy. Endless.

Each drop struck my skin like a reminder—I was dying.

My chest burned. No… not burned. It tore. Every breath was a battle I was losing.

Somewhere far away, people were shouting.

"Call an ambulance!"

"He's still breathing!"

"Oh God—there's so much blood—"

Their voices faded in and out like a broken radio.

Funny.

All my life, I never really thought about death. It was always something distant. Something that happened to other people.

Not me.

Never me.

"…Ali…"

The name slipped from my lips without thinking.

My little brother.

The only person I couldn't leave behind.

I tried to move my hand, as if I could reach him somehow, but my body wouldn't listen.

"I'm sorry…" I whispered, though no one heard me.

The headlights that hit me… they were gone now.

The world was fading.

And the last thing I felt…

…was regret.

Chapter 2 – The Throne of Ashes

When I opened my eyes again—

I wasn't dead.

At least… I didn't think I was.

Because instead of the cold road, I felt something solid beneath me.

Hard.

Cold.

Powerful.

I blinked slowly.

A massive hall stretched before me—its walls carved from black stone, veins of glowing crimson running through them like blood.

Torches burned with unnatural fire.

And below me…

Figures knelt.

Dozens of them.

Armored. Monstrous. Silent.

Then, as one—

"All hail the Demon Lord!"

My breath caught.

"…What?"

My voice echoed.

Deep.

Sharp.

Not entirely mine.

I looked down at my hands.

They weren't the same.

Black gauntlets covered them, etched with glowing runes. My fingers moved, but they felt… heavier. Stronger.

I stood slowly.

The room seemed to tremble with the motion.

And then I saw it—

My reflection.

In the polished obsidian floor.

Crimson eyes.

Long black hair.

Armor that looked like it was forged from darkness itself.

A cloak that flickered like living shadow.

"…No."

My voice cracked.

"No, no, no—this isn't real."

And then—

A voice echoed in my mind.

Cold.

Mechanical.

Unforgiving.

[System Notification: Reincarnation Complete.][Role Assigned: Final Boss.][Fate: You will be slain by the Hero.]

My heart stopped.

"…Hero?"

The system didn't hesitate.

[Hero Identified: Ali Hussain.]

Everything shattered.

Chapter 3 – The Name That Broke Me

"…Ali?"

My voice trembled.

It wasn't possible.

It couldn't be.

But the system repeated it—again and again—like it wanted to carve it into my soul.

Ali Hussain.

My brother.

My little brother.

"No…" I whispered, gripping my head. "Not him. Anyone but him…"

Memories flooded in.

Ali laughing.

Ali running after me.

Ali calling me "bhai" with that stupid grin.

He was everything I had left.

And now—

He was the one destined to kill me.

A laugh escaped my throat.

Broken.

Unstable.

"…You've got to be kidding me."

The soldiers below remained kneeling, unaware that their "Demon Lord" was falling apart.

Because to them—

I wasn't a brother.

I wasn't human.

I was a monster.

Chapter 4 – Seraphina of the Crimson Mind

The doors opened.

Slowly.

A woman entered.

Silver hair.

Golden eyes.

A presence sharp enough to cut.

She walked forward, each step echoing through the hall, and bowed deeply.

"My Lord," she said. "I am Seraphina, your advisor."

Her voice was calm.

Too calm.

"The world trembles at your awakening," she continued. "And the Hero has begun his journey."

I stared at her.

"You mean… Ali?"

She blinked.

"…Ali?"

I exhaled slowly.

"Never mind."

She studied me carefully, as if trying to read something hidden beneath my words.

Then she spoke again:

"You must prepare, my Lord. The Hero will grow stronger. And when the time comes…"

Her eyes sharpened.

"You must kill him. Or be killed."

Silence filled the hall.

Then—

I laughed.

Not loudly.

Not wildly.

But enough.

"Kill him?" I said softly.

"…That's not happening."

For the first time—

Seraphina hesitated.

Chapter 5 – The Truth of This World

Days passed.

Or maybe weeks.

Time felt… strange here.

I learned quickly.

Too quickly.

Magic.

Power.

Darkness.

This body—it wasn't normal.

It was overwhelming.

With a single thought, I could crush stone. Bend shadows. Ignite black flames that devoured everything.

And yet—

None of it mattered.

Because every night—

I saw him.

Ali.

Smiling.

Calling my name.

And every time I reached out—

He disappeared.

Or worse—

He stabbed me.

I woke up every time with my heart racing.

"Damn it…" I muttered one night, gripping my chest.

This wasn't just a game.

This wasn't just a story.

This was real.

And the ending was already written.

Chapter 6 – The Hero Awakens

"My Lord."

Seraphina's voice cut through my thoughts.

"The Hero has been confirmed."

My body stiffened.

"…Where?"

"The Kingdom of Astoria," she said. "Blessed by the Goddess. Trained by the Church."

Of course.

Of course the world would give him everything.

I stepped onto the balcony.

The land stretched endlessly before me.

Mountains.

Forests.

Villages.

And somewhere out there—

Him.

Then suddenly—

The sky shimmered.

A vision appeared.

Golden light spread across the heavens.

And there he was.

Ali.

Standing tall.

Holding a glowing sword.

The world cheered for him.

My hands trembled.

"…You look the same."

Same face.

Same eyes.

Same stupid determination.

But now—

He wasn't just my brother.

He was the Hero.

And I—

Was the Villain.

Chapter 7 – The Decision

That night—

I made a choice.

Not as the Demon Lord.

Not as the Final Boss.

But as a brother.

"I'm not dying," I said quietly.

"And I'm not killing him."

The wind howled.

Darkness gathered around me.

"If fate wants a story," I continued, "then I'll rewrite it."

For the first time—

The power inside me responded.

Not as something foreign.

But as something… mine.

"I don't care what this world wants," I whispered.

"I'll protect him."

Even if—

"I have to destroy everything."

Chapter 8 – The First Glimpse of War

The reports came quickly after that.

"The Hero gathers allies."

"The Church declares war."

"The kingdoms unite."

I listened in silence.

Because I already knew how this story went.

Hero rises.

Villain falls.

World saved.

But this time—

The Villain wasn't just a villain.

And the Hero—

Wasn't just a hero.

He was my brother.

Chapter 9 – When Our Eyes Met

The first time I saw him again—

Was on the battlefield.

Steel clashed.

Magic roared.

The world burned around us.

But none of it mattered.

Because there he was.

Right in front of me.

"…Bhai?"

My heart stopped.

He remembered.

I stepped forward.

"Ali—"

But before I could speak—

Someone shouted:

"That's the Demon Lord! Kill him!"

And just like that—

The world reminded us of our roles.

He raised his sword.

I raised my power.

And when our attacks collided—

The ground shattered.

Light and darkness exploded between us.

"…Why?" he asked.

His voice broke.

"Why are you the Villain?"

I clenched my fists.

"Because I didn't get a choice."

Chapter 10 – The Truth They Won't Accept

We stood there.

Not as enemies.

Not as Hero and Villain.

But as brothers—

Trapped.

"If I don't kill you…" he whispered.

"…we both die."

I froze.

The system confirmed it.

Of course it did.

Because fate wasn't cruel enough already.

I looked at him.

Really looked.

He wasn't happy.

He wasn't free.

He was just like me.

A puppet.

"…Then we break it," I said.

He blinked.

"…What?"

"Fate," I said, stepping forward.

"The system. The prophecy."

Everything.

"We destroy it."

For the first time—

Hope appeared in his eyes.
