Chapter 2665 - Ch: 36-40

Chapter 36 With a sharp blade in hand, I will punish all!

Whew!!

Amidst the pitch-black and gloomy night sky.

A shining star suddenly cut across the firmament, passing through the skyscrapers of the city, and descended from the sky.

"What is that?" Constantine stared closely at that ray of shining starlight.

"An Ultraman from the M78 Nebula?" Chas guessed beside him.

The shining and scorching star instantly landed on the flowing fire blade. During this time, Nergal tried to use dark magic to stop this starlight from descending, but it remained entirely unaffected.

The green fire in Nergal's eye sockets flickered slightly, staring intently at the man standing ahead in the ruins, holding high the sword burning with holy fire in his hand.

"Angel… Is this your ultimate move?"

As a Hell Lord, he could feel that just moments ago, the flowing fire blade in Lynn's hand had undergone earth-shattering changes.

Not only that, but that sword also emitted a peculiar piece of information, piercing through the dimensional barrier and reaching a distant unknown place.

The next instant, the holy flames on the flowing fire bladein Lynn's hand surged instantly.

The blazing temperature burned the flowing fire bladeaway completely, turning it into even fiercer golden holy flames that gradually condensed on Lynn's body.

The bear da suit was retrieved into the system backpack, and the golden holy flames converged on Lynn to form an exquisite golden armor.

The golden holy flames did not scorch his body; instead, they emitted a warm golden light, illuminating all directions.

His short black hair gradually turned into fluttering white hair, his face wore a meticulous and stern expression, and he held two giant swords burning with golden holy flames in his hands.

Behind Lynn, the golden holy flames burned into massive six pairs of blazing wings, emitting an unimaginable holy aura.

"Blade in hand, sanctioning all directions!"

The vast and immense holy aura swept instantly in all directions the moment the holy flames condensed into the golden armor.

The crimson mist and demons inside Gotham City were completely swept away the moment the holy aura diffused, as if encountering their natural enemy.

"OMG, could he really be an Angel wandering among mortals?"

Constantine not far away rubbed his chin.

"Should I trick him into signing some contracts?"

As early as in Britain, he had scammed Angels and demons quite a bit; now seeing Lynn in this appearance, he naturally had this thought.

Only when thinking of Lynn cutting off the demon roots of so many demons, he shrank his neck back.

Better not scam this guy; what if his lower parts got chopped off by then?

…

Lynn didn't know if the Angel of Justice could take down the Hell Lord, but he knew he was super strong right now!

His stats directly broke through the peak, plus the blessing of group buffs, his strength, speed, and intelligence were unprecedentedly strong.

Right now, he was the ultimate stat monster!

Lynn's gaze landed on Nergal's ferocious and tall body, the corners of his mouth slightly lifting into an arrogant smile.

"Are you ready to be a dog?"

"Audacious!" Nergal said angrily, "Even Michael wouldn't dare treat me like this!"

"What are you babbling about? Taste my elbow!"

Lynn suddenly raised his elbow, carrying vast holy power and endless holy flames, slamming fiercely towards Nergallike a falling meteor.

Boom!

The air was instantly compressed, making a piercing sonic boom, and the golden holy flames tore through the black fog, slamming right in front of Nergal in an instant.

"This kind of power… how is that possible?!"

Feeling the might of this elbow, Nergal's expression changed drastically, and horror flashed through his green-fire eye sockets for the first time.

In his haste, he urged all his magic to condense a thick black armor barrier in front of him, trying to withstand this fatal blow.

But holy power was inherently the natural enemy of demons, not to mention that Lynn had hacks on.

Snap!

The elbow smashed through like a bamboo split wide open, heavily striking Nergal's chest.

Nergal's massive body was as if struck by a ten-thousand-ton giant hammer, his entire face forcefully smashed inward, and black blood mixed with green pus gushed out wildly.

"Fuck! Impossible, absolutely impossible!!"

Nergal let out a shrill roar, unable to believe that his avatar would actually be instantly injured by an Angel.

Is this fucking reasonable?

I am at least an avatar of a Hell Lord!

This wasn't over yet. After Lynn finished his elbow strike, the black Laoda Martial Soul behind him also raised its elbow and slammed it heavily onto Nergal's face.

Bang! Bang! Bang!!

The elbows mixed with holy power smashed heavily onto Nergal's body, even directly smashing his castle into ruins.

"Damned Angel, you have angered me!"

Nergal struggled to climb up to cast his dark magic, but Lynn's elbows pelted his body like a storm, directly interrupting the spellcasting.

Nergal was elbowed so hard he couldn't stand up, and he could feel the plague magic within his body being rapidly eroded by the holy power.

If he didn't leave now, this avatar would be lost in the mortal World.

Taking advantage of the gap in Lynn's elbow strikes, black fog surged all over Nergal, and he appeared a few meters away from Lynn.

At this moment, he was bruised and swollen, burning all over with golden holy flames, looking as disheveled as could be, with no resemblance to a Hell Lord at all.

"Want to run? Too late!" Lynn grinned.

Although the opponent escaping could also complete the mission, he still wanted to try whether he could swallow a Hell Lord with Feast to become bigger and stronger.

"Za… Warudo!"

An invisible power instantly affected the entire World.

The hands of the rotating clock instantly stopped, the flying black blood and green pus solidified in mid-air, along with Nergal's running motion frozen in place.

Under this mighty force, time began to pause for 9 seconds, and only Lynn could move freely.

Lynn moved his wrists, a crazy smile appearing on his face.

"Nergal, taste this Nergal combo meal of mine!"

He gripped the holy flame giant swords with both hands and rushed towards Nergal.

The giant swords constructed from holy flames instantly slashed towards Nergal's five limbs, hacking out hundreds of swords in a mere 6 seconds.

Under the blessing of the Angel buff and the Dio Brando character card, Lynn's speed had already broken through the limit of a Vampire (Dio is a Vampire).

And in the remaining 3 seconds, Lynn went all out, with both the Laoda Martial Soul and Jige Martial Soul fully deployed, continuously bombarding Nergal's lower body.

The 9 seconds quickly passed, time flowed again, and the terrifying attacks slammed onto Nergal instantly.

Bang!!

A violent explosion was instantly generated, along with the surrounding magic array being destroyed by the terrifying holy power.

"No!!" Nergal's shrill roar echoed in everyone's ears.

"Damned Angel… I curse you, next time we meet… you will…"

"Then remember, my name is Kayle, the Angel of Justice!" Lynn said loudly.

Anyway, if the opponent was going to curse, they were cursing Kayle; what did that have to do with Lynn?

[Character Card Dio Brando has expired]

[flowing fire blade has been destroyed, but Archangel Michael is watching you, your affinity for holy creatures +1]

[You have successfully expelled BOSS "Hell LordNergal"]

[Performance rating is: S]

[Rewards obtained: 50 EXP, Gotham reputation +30, Cyclops's pager, Chaos Staff, dimensional pocket, Resurrection Card * 1]

[Player Level: 6 → 7]

"Only 3 levels away from unlocking the system mall, and…"

Lynn raised an eyebrow, staring intently at an item in the rewards.

[dimensional pocket: From Stardew Valley, it can not only store items, but also pack NPCs into the pocket and take them away. Used properly, it can trigger special dialogue and hidden quests.]

Chapter 37: This Style is Trendy Right Now, What Do You Know?

With the Hell Lord Nergal banished, Belur's manor gradually returned to peace.

Raven was in the depths of the manor, dispelling the magiccircles left behind by the demons, while Constantine and Chas were searching for Trish's soul.

As for Lynn, he found a chair, sat down comfortably and lazily, and inspected the rewards he had received from this mission.

[One-Eyed Dragon's Pager: From the Marvel Universe, Nick Fury's pager. It can mark any single person. Once used, even if separated by the entire Universe, they can be instantly summoned.]

[chaos staff: From Minecraft. When used, it randomly triggers 10 kinds of nonsensical effects. There is no fixed pattern to follow; it depends entirely on luck.

The probability of each effect is completely random. It might turn enemies into sheep, apply an invincible shield to oneself, or even randomly replace matter (stone into cake, lava into water).

Under extreme circumstances, it will summon a friendly BOSS to help the player.]

"Hiss... This One-Eyed Dragon's Pager is truly a perfect tool for ganging up on people."

Lynn looked at the description of this equipment, and his eyes couldn't help but light up.

"If I mark a BOSS, then find where the Justice League is, and summon the BOSS there, wouldn't I be able to get others to fight the BOSS for me?"

[BOSS missions are rated based on the player's performance. If the proportion of damage dealt to the BOSS by the player is too low, the rating will also be lower.]

"Tsk..." Lynn curled his lip. "In that case, doesn't it just become a tool for calling in long-distance backup to fight for me?"

He shook his head and looked up at the neon-lit city in the distance.

"Well, even if that trick doesn't work, it's fine. There are no weak items, only weak players. As long as my world-shaking wisdom is sufficient, I can make any item, no matter how weak, perform miracles."

He then opened his personal panel.

[Player: Lynn]

[Level: 7 (30/150)]

[Attributes: Strength 102, Speed 52, Defense 36, Wisdom 66]

[Current distributable free attribute points: 20 (10 attribute points gained per level)]

[Items: salted fish thrusting sword, oblivion potion, transformation stick, master ball, kunkuns basketball, chaos staff, dimensional pocket, revival card * 2...]

[Skills: Batman's Communicator, Laodas Power, Indian Block, Feast...]

[Costumes: Pleasant Goat Costume, bear da suit, Sister Yu Costume, iron armor (Durability 97)]

...

Without the slightest hesitation, Lynn allocated his attribute points in a 5:3:2 ratio into Strength, Speed, and Defense.

There were no restrictions on the system's attribute allocation. Even if defense was 1 and strength was raised to over a thousand, there wouldn't be a situation where a magnetic field farmer struck the ground with a hoe only to be crushed to death by his own strength.

As a player, he naturally wanted to prioritize strength, followed by speed, while defense was more than covered by the bear da suit.

Unless a nuclear bomb was going to hit him, only then would he consider maxing out his defense.

However, with the revival card, even if he died, he could just reload and start over.

Raven walked over and asked a bit bashfully, "Uh... do you want to exchange contact information?"

Hearing this, Lynn looked up in surprise, catching a fleeting, barely noticeable blush on the girl's face.

"Are you hungry?"

"No, I'm not hungry. I just thought we could leave contact info so we could be friends in the future," Raven explained seriously.

"Then do you even know my name?" Lynn asked a soul-searching question.

"...John Constantine."

"That's a fake name."

Raven: "..."

I already knew that.

Lynn stood up, patted the iron armor on his body, and tilted his head, which was covered by the bear headpiece, at a 45-degree angle toward the sky.

"No need to exchange contact info."

The night wind blew gently, swaying Raven's seaweed-like fluffy blue hair. A few stray strands clung to her pale neck, and a barely perceptible trace of melancholy appeared on her cold, beautiful face.

"If fate allows, we will meet again.

At that time, if you still want to exchange contact info, I'll give it to you."

As soon as he finished speaking, the bear da suit on Lynninstantly swapped for a set of iron armor gleaming with a cold, hard luster, and he shot up into the sky like an arrow leaving a bow.

The blue-haired girl slowly raised her head, her clear eyes staring intently at the dark canopy of the sky.

The figure wrapped in the faint glow of the armor was like a fleeting meteor, slicing through the thick night as it sped away.

Raven cupped her hands slightly around her mouth and shouted loudly, "Then it's a deal! The next time we meet, you have to exchange contact info with me!"

...

In September, the temperature in Gotham had already begun to gradually drop.

Outside, the cold wind howled, mixed with raindrops, but inside the Fancy Dress Bar, it was still brightly lit.

"Young man, your jeans are torn, why are you still wearing them out?"

Hearing this, a trendy youth with arms full of rune tattoos and a face full of piercings looked at Lynn with utter contempt, his face practically spelling out the word 'bumpkin'.

"You hillbilly, this style is trendy right now. What do you know?"

Lynn scratched his head. "Really? But other people don't seem to have a tear in their crotch?"

"What torn crotch?" The trendy youth looked down at his pants. "Holy shit! Who the hell cut a hole in my pants?"

Lynn shrugged. "Didn't you say this is the trendy style?"

The trendy youth: "..."

Lynn walked straight to the bar, ordered a bottle of 'Ice and Fire Double Heaven' from the bartender, and began to sip it.

"Have you heard? Batman joined the Justice League, and it seems the government is also planning to set up a similar organization to fight crime."

"You must have heard wrong. What I heard was that the government wants those supervillains to turn over a new leaf and work for them."

"Heh... turn over a new leaf? Who is evil and who is righteous? It's not like the American Government is righteous. Those politicians don't know the first thing about justice."

"..."

Listening to the chatter around him, Lynn couldn't help but shake his head in his heart.

Not long after he had taken out the Hell Lord Nergal's clone last time, the news of the Justice League's establishment was released by Superman from neighboring Metropolis.

Immediately following that, the American Governmentalso began establishing corresponding special projects, among which was the Suicide Squad led by Amanda Waller.

And then...

This Black woman took an immediate liking to Lynn, who was an IRS Agent.

Lynn remembered that at the time, he was lying in his Villa, drawing a comic of The Boys, planning to give the drawing of Homelander's Getsuga Tensho to Supergirl Kara later.

As a result, just as he was immersed in his art, Amanda Waller's phone call came through.

The situation at the time went like this—

"Mr. Lynn, one of the IRS's most outstanding Agents, the government now needs you to complete a mission. This concerns the safety of all the people of America."

"Oh, I'm not American. Whether America lives or dies has nothing to do with me. But... who are you again?"

"I am Amanda Waller."

"Neige?"

Amanda: "..."

Chapter 38: The Talent-Packed Fancy Dress Bar

Lynn was utterly speechless about a black man riding on his head to act as a slave master.

"... Was the Civil War fought in vain? How did a nigga end up riding on my head as a slave master?"

The mouth of Amanda Waller twitched. Although she had heard that Agent Lynn was unreliable, after actually interacting with him, she still found it somewhat hard to accept.

"Some time ago, the Justice League of superheroes was established, and we obtained intelligence that Batman is secretly formulating a plan to deal with Superman."

She cut straight to the point.

"Once a battle breaks out between them, it is very likely to endanger the safety of America."

"To deal with this matter, I need you to help me form the Suicide Squad."

Faced with the request of Amanda Waller, Lynn laughed on the spot.

Help your government form the Suicide Squad and then deal with Batman and Superman? Do I look like someone who has a lot of free time?

Besides, the prison is full of talented people; Amanda Waller herself could form the Suicide Squad. Only a player with nothing better to do would get involved.

"Sorry, I refuse. I hate this kind of mission."

[Main Quest: Form the Bat Gang]

[Quest Description: As an IRS Agent, the boss of your boss, Amanda Waller, needs your help to form the Suicide Squad, but you can secretly turn the Suicide Squad into the Bat Gang~]

[Quest Reward: NPC Recruitment Function Unlocked]

[Remarks: Ancient times had S.H.I.E.L.D. nicknamed Hydra. Today, the Suicide Squad is nicknamed the Bat Gang~]

Lynn: "..."

What expression should be used right now? The capitulation meme of Wang Jingze?

Amanda Waller knew this was not an easy task, so she persuaded him:

"Do not worry about the danger level of this matter. We will provide you with support in terms of personnel, funds, and equipment..."

"Rest assured, this mission is on me. Wire 100 million U.S. dollars into my account first to show your strength."

Amanda Waller: "..."

...

Bringing the camera back.

The neon lights cast mottled red and blue halos, wandering like fish across the damp floor.

Inferior alcohol and cigar smoke intertwined, penetrating the air and permeating the cramped bar.

Behind the bar, several gang members slumped limply on greasy barstools, looking utterly dejected.

"I have had the worst luck in eight lifetimes lately. That lunatic Batman is just like a ghost; he broke three of my ribs!"

A burly man with a full beard slammed the bar fiercely. His abdomen was wrapped in bandages, and it was still throbbing with pain.

"We did not rob even half a cent, but the medical bills completely hollowed out my savings. Now I cannot even smoke any ice!"

As soon as these words were spoken, they immediately prompted the surrounding crowd to nod and echo in agreement.

"Is that not the truth? Ever since that Batman joined the Justice League, he has gone completely crazy, crouching next to trash cans at 3 AM. We cannot do business like this at all."

"We were already poor enough, and now it is just adding frost to snow. If this goes on any longer, sooner or later we will have to go pick up Batarangs to sell as scrap metal."

Amidst the sighs of lamentation, a crisp, frantic voice suddenly sounded.

"Hey, guys, stop pulling long faces like your mother just died!"

The crowd looked toward the source of the voice and saw a woman standing with her feet on the edge of the bar.

The fair and smooth skin of the woman shimmered with a cold light under the neon lights, and her eye-catching double ponytails were particularly dazzling.

The left side was pure azure, and the right side was blazing crimson, like a shattered rainbow wrapped around the tips of her hair.

"Wherever there is gold, it will shine," Harley said.

In the corner, Lynn took a sip of the Ice and Fire Dual Heaven in his glass.

The fierceness of the whiskey and the coolness of the mint instantly exploded in his throat, and the stimulating sensation of the bubbles bursting made him squint his eyes involuntarily.

Hearing the words of Harley, he looked at those gang members, shook his head, and sighed:

"What a pity, they are all unwanted homies."

Most of the gang members present nodded, thinking what he said made sense.

At this moment, someone recognized the woman on the bar and asked with a smile:

"Harley Quinn, why are you here alone? Where is the Joker? Not going to pull off a big job with your Mr. J?"

"Holy crab!"

Hearing this, Harley instantly bristled like a hachimi.

"I broke up with that bastard long ago!"

She wore a loose red and black jacket on her upper body, and the white camisole inside tightly wrapped around her plump curves, trembling gently with her speaking movements.

Her lower body was ultra-short denim shorts, with the hems intentionally cut unevenly, and fishnet stockings wrapping around her snow-white, slender thighs.

Harley clenched her fair little fists with a dead-serious face:

"I am going solo, pulling off a big job, and letting everyone know that Harley Quinn is not the appendage of anyone."

"Batman, Joker, all of you get out of my way! This city will be mine sooner or later!"

A black punk wearing a floral shirt wore a frivolous smile on his face and sneered:

"Come on, Harley Quinn, could it be that you were dumped by the Joker and are looking for us to be your scapegoats?"

"Shit! I dumped him!"

Harley fiercely raised her middle finger, her face full of anger.

Ever since the last time she saw the Joker robbing a bank and making eyes at Batman, she had decided to cut ties with the Joker.

Previously, every time she wanted to date the Joker and then do things that adults love to do, the Joker would either make an excuse that his kidneys were weak or say his condition was not good.

Until later she found out that the fucking Joker was simply a gay man who liked Batman!

No wonder for so long, the Joker never touched her, only treating her as a superficial girlfriend.

"You dumped him?"

A skinny man wearing a green uniform and a green hood walked over, revealing a pair of shrewd eyes from under the hood.

He looked Harley up and down, speaking in a questioning tone:

"I think the Joker got bored of playing and dumped you, right? Anyway, does anyone want to guess a riddle? There is a reward for guessing correctly."

Harley raged: "F*ck! Riddler, you are just a **, a rotten-ass thing, you f***ing **..."

Lynn held his glass and slowly walked up to the Riddler.

"Why do we not change how we play? You guess my riddle?"

The Riddler was slightly stunned, and then an impatient look appeared on his face:

"Why should I guess your riddle? Who the hell are you..."

Lynn took out a stack of Franklins and fiercely slapped them onto the face of the Riddler.

"Guess one right, and I will give you ten thousand U.S. dollars."

The Riddler was silent for a moment, looked at Lynn in front of him, and then looked at the U.S. dollars pressed against his face.

Just when everyone thought he was going to blow his top.

"Come on, what riddle?" The Riddler put away the U.S. dollars and said earnestly, "Can you give me extra money if I guess a few more?"

Lynn: "..."

Why are these villains of Gotham so funny?

He shook his head and then spoke:

"The sunflower follows the Sun during the day, what does it do at night?"

A confident smile immediately appeared on the face of the Riddler as he pushed up his non-existent glasses.

"This is way too simple. Plants carry out photosynthesis during the day, and at night naturally they..."

Halfway through his sentence, he suddenly stopped.

No, this is a riddle. The answer can not possibly be guessed this easily.

Thinking of this, the Riddler raised his head and looked at the other party.

He saw that the man in front of him wore a woolen coat on his upper body, but matched it with flashy beach shorts on his lower body, and even slipped his feet into a pair of slippers.

Seeing this outfit, the mouth of the Riddler could not help twitching slightly.

Since when did Gotham have a villain whose attire and styling were even more abstract than his?

Dressed up so abstractly, yet the riddle spoken was so shallow...

A trap, definitely a trap!

The brain of the Riddler began to spin at high speed. He fancied himself the smartest villain of Gotham; how could he possibly be stumped by a riddle like this?

Soon, a wise radiance bloomed in his eyes as he spoke out his answer to the riddle.

"The answer is..."

Chapter 39 Lynn: I Am the Real Riddler

"Wrong."

Lynn shook his head, a look of "nothing special" appearing on his face.

"I thought the Riddler was supposed to be so smart, but it turns out he's just an empty name."

The Riddler immediately grew anxious, his cheeks flushing red:

"Aside from that answer, what could possibly be more reasonable?!"

"Idiot." Lynn rolled his eyes, his tone indifferent.

"A sunflower raises its head to follow the Sun during the day, so at night, it must bow its head to society.

I already told you it's a riddle, yet you answered so shallowly."

Riddler: "..."

Are you fucking doing this on purpose to make fun of me?

The surrounding mobsters were stunned for a moment before bursting into roaring laughter, the entire bar immersed in a cheerful atmosphere.

"Hahaha, this answer is brilliant!"

"Riddler, your IQ is worse than this guy in the floral boxers!"

"..."

"Enough, enough! What's so fun about guessing riddles?"

Harley impatiently cut off everyone's laughter, took a few steps in front of Lynn and the Riddler, and placed her hands on her hips.

"Guys, pull off a big job with me. Let's rob the Gotham Bank and take all that gold!"

Poor Gotham Bank, targeted by a bunch of supervillains every once in a while, it was practically comparable to Batman's grappling hook.

"With you?"

The Riddler glanced at Harley, a disdainful expression on his face.

"Harley Quinn, come on, you're nothing without the Joker.

Last time you went to rob a jewelry store alone, weren't you chased like a dog by those cops from the Policedepartment?"

The others nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, yeah, working with you is worse than working with the Riddler."

"And you want to be the Master of Gotham? I think you being Gotham's mistress is more like it!"

"..."

"Fuck!"

Harley trembled with rage, fiercely flipping everyone the middle finger like an angry kitty.

Just then, Lynn suddenly put down his glass and walked over to Harley's side.

"I'll work with you."

Harley was stunned, clearly not expecting anyone to support her.

"That's great! You..."

"Don't get happy too early." Lynn shook his head. "I have a lot of demands, and you might not necessarily accept them."

Harley gritted her teeth. "I can definitely accept them! No matter what you want me to do, I can do it!"

"Then first, help me prove Einstein's Theory of Relativity."

Harley: "..."

...

[Main Quest "Form the Bat Gang" completed]

[Reward obtained: NPC Recruitment Feature unlocked]

[Currently Recruited NPC: Harley Quinn]

[You can view the recruited NPC's personal panel]

Seeing the blue prompt in front of him, Lynn was surprised.

"What can recruited NPCs do? Fight World Bosses, or do party quests together?"

He recalled the last time he had teamed up with Raven, Constantine, and others to stop the Hell invasion of Gotham.

[Recruiting NPCs not only allows you to establish your own faction but also enables NPCs to help players complete various quests.]

Seeing this line of text, Lynn's eyes instantly lit up.

"You should have said so earlier! Isn't this just letting me recruit a bunch of wage slaves to work for me? But are there any requirements to recruit NPCs? Do I use money or force?"

[When an NPC's favorability toward the player reaches a certain level, they can be recruited into the player's party.]

"Wait..." Lynn frowned slightly. "Recruiting NPCs is related to their favorability? Don't tell me I have to romance them?"

He became a player to live a life of luxury with beauties on both sides and be a big shot in America, not to romance some random people.

"Whatever, since I've already recruited Harley Quinn, let's see what her deal is first."

Lynn curled his lip and clicked on Harley Quinn's personal panel.

[NPC: Harley Quinn]

[Status: Mental Abnormality]

[Assets: -$124,807]

[Skills: Gymnastics, Street Fighting, Psychology, Kidnapping]

[Items: Baseball Bat, Camisole, Fishnet Stockings...]

[Favorability: 50]

"My goodness, her assets are actually negative." Lynn was somewhat surprised. "No wonder she became a supervillain; she owes so much money."

Furthermore, Harley actually had so many skills on her panel, which truly surprised Lynn.

"I can understand Gymnastics, Street Fighting, and Psychology, but what the hell is Kidnapping?"

In Gotham, isn't this fucking something everyone knows how to do? How did it become a specialized skill?

Lynn continued to look down, focusing his gaze on the favorability stat, stroking his chin with his right hand in deep thought.

"What happens when favorability reaches 100?"

[When favorability reaches 100, the NPC will revolve around the player, and the player can Master the NPC's skills and withdraw the NPC's items at any time.]

"Hiss."

Lynn's eyes shone. He seemed to have discovered a game-breaking cheat mechanism.

"If I max out Supergirl's favorability, would I be able to directly obtain Kryptonian skills and not even have to fear Kryptonite?"

Not just this idea, Lynn also felt his World-shaking wisdom constantly spinning, and a new idea popped up in his mind.

"If I raise Harley's favorability to 100, and she learns new skills later, will I be able to Master those new skills too?"

[Yes.]

Upon receiving the answer, a brilliant smile instantly spread across Lynn's face.

He seemed to know how to play this game now.

Lynn turned his head to look at Harley, who was still trying to recruit companions at the bar, and smiled:

"Harley, shouldn't we do something that villains are supposed to do now?"

"Perverted Tyrannosaurus God of War, what do you want to do? Just don't make me prove Einstein's Theory of Relativity anymore, I really don't know how."

Harley held her head, pouting and acting cutely.

But Lynn's attention was not on that.

"Don't talk nonsense, I'm not the Tyrannosaurus God of War right now."

"Then what's your name now?" Harley raised an eyebrow and immediately asked.

"I am called the Riddler now," Lynn answered.

The Riddler nearby:???

You're called the Riddler, then who am I?

As if sensing the Riddler's questioning gaze, Lynnexplained:

"He couldn't guess my riddle just now, so he's a fake. I am the real Riddler."

Riddler: "..."

Fine, don't fucking say another word.

"Alright then, Mr. Riddler."

Harley seemed to see that Lynn was roleplaying as someone else, but she didn't expose his lie, instead playing along:

"How about we find a way to recruit more teammates, and then go pull off a big job?"

...

Diamond District, Zeus Stock Exchange.

September in Gotham was rainy and damp-cold; the neon lights among the skyscrapers penetrated the raindrops, casting onto the glass curtain walls of the buildings.

The halo refracted onto the shimmering wet road below as a yellow taxi pulled up in front of the Stock Exchange.

"Harley, are you sure there's someone here who can help us recruit more villains?"

Looking at the Stock Exchange with its pink doorframe and even a pink interior design, Lynn's mouth couldn't help but twitch.

What kind of supervillain would like such a flashy pink color?

"Of course." Harley nodded. "Back when I was still in Arkham Asylum, Arnold showed his wisdom. With him around, the two of us will definitely be able to recruit more teammates."

Lynn curled his lip. "Arnold... just by hearing the name, you can tell his head is pointy."

Chapter 40: The Old Sent Off...

Inside the office at the Zeus Stock Exchange.

Arnold was a bald, chubby old man in his sixties. He was short and stout, wearing a suit and glasses, and holding a scarred puppet that was chomping on a cigar.

At this moment, he was sitting in his seat, and the Scarface puppet in his hand had the demeanor of a gang boss.

"Oh, Harley Quinn, what business do you have coming to see me?"

The Scarface puppet shook a few times, and a hoarse, deep voice came from Arnold's abdomen, making it seem just like the puppet was speaking.

"Ventriloquist, how did you manage to recruit so many subordinates?"

Harley looked at the burly Black men in suits with guns tucked into their waists standing beside the Ventriloquist, a fawning smile plastered across her face.

"Can you teach me?"

"You want to learn?" The Scarface puppet in Arnold's hand raised its head.

"Of course."

"Why should I help you? If you strip naked and take a walk around the East End, won't there be plenty of men following you?"

Hearing this, blue veins bulged on Harley's forehead.

This damn guy was still as idiotic as ever!

She gritted her teeth and forced a smile. "If I recruit some subordinates, we can pull off a big job together, make a name for ourselves across all of America, and transform Gotham City into our own image!"

The Scarface puppet shook its head. "Harley Quinn, Arnoldand my goal is to become Masters above others, and we have zero interest in the things you're talking about."

Its tone shifted.

"Besides... if you want me to teach you how to recruit subordinates, you first have to make Arnold feel good, and once he's satisfied, I'll tell you!"

Hearing this, Harley frowned, looking at the Ventriloquistbefore her with utter disgust.

"There's nothing more to say then, Mr. Riddler, let's go."

She grabbed Lynn by the hand and turned to walk out, but Lynn stopped her.

"Go? The ones who should leave are them; this is our turf."

"Your turf?" The Scarface puppet sneered. "Harley Quinn, where on earth did you pick up this lunatic? Instead of wasting time, you'd better take him to Arkham Asylum to get his brain checked out!"

As soon as those words fell, Lynn took out his gatling gunand Rocket launcher from the system backpack.

The pitch-black barrels of the guns and launcher aimed at the Ventriloquist and his lackies standing beside him, a thick scent of gunpowder drifting in the air.

"Everyone, this place belongs to the Bat Gang. Who agrees with this, and who objects?"

The Black gunmen gazed at the heavy firepower in his hands, couldn't help but swallow a mouthful of saliva, and then looked at each other, lining up against the wall with plenty of experience.

In America, these were all basic survival skills.

Boom!!

The Rocket launcher instantly slammed into one of the Black men, blowing him to smithereens.

"I didn't f*cking tell you to stand against the wall. This place belongs to the Bat Gang, who agrees and who objects?"

"I agree."

"Me too..."

"..."

Seeing his lackey blown into pieces of corpse, the Scarface puppet repeatedly advised:

"You two, we mean no harm. Can you move this gatling gun and Rocket launcher away?"

He was on the verge of tears. Where on earth did this guy pull out heavy weapons from?

"Sorry, you might not mean any harm, but I do."

Lynn's mouth split open, revealing an arrogant smile.

"Take out all your guns and whatever is in your pockets for me, otherwise if my gun accidentally goes off, you guys are going to get blown to pieces."

The Scarface puppet: "..."

...

"Alright, you guys can leave."

Lynn sat by the office desk with his legs crossed, the pitch-black barrel of the gatling gun aimed at the gunmen ahead who had been stripped down to only their underpants.

The gunmen looked at each other, bitter expressions plastered across their faces.

If you're letting us leave, at least give us our clothes back, right?

Seeing the gunmen's tearful expressions, Lynn frowned and immediately pulled the trigger.

Da-da-da!!

Bullets poured into one of the burly Black men, turning him into a sieve.

The remaining gunmen no longer cared about losing face and bolted out of the office without looking back, terrified that they would be turned into sieves too.

"And you." Lynn's gaze shifted to the Ventriloquist who was shivering in the corner of the wall.

[Side Quest: Break the Ventriloquist]

[Quest Description: The Ventriloquist spoke harshly to your NPC teammate. Please break him. A madman with dissociative identity disorder is a must-play part for every Gotham player~]

Lynn raised an eyebrow slightly and kicked the Ventriloquist Arnold right in the ass, knocking him flat onto the ground.

That wasn't all. While Arnold was knocked to the ground, Lynn snatched the Scarface puppet right out of his hand.

"Scarface, give Scarface back to me!"

With the puppet in his hands stolen, the Ventriloquistacted as if his parents had just died, charging over fiercely.

But under Lynn's stats of over a hundred in strength, he couldn't grab Scarface back at all. He could only stand by like a useless husband in certain Japanese movies, watching helplessly as Lynn continuously played with his Scarface puppet.

Lynn turned his head to look at Harley Quinn beside him and asked, "Harley, you said this guy's split personality is related to his puppets. If I strip him naked and then place several different puppets on him all at once, will he break?"

Harley Quinn was currently counting the wallets scavenged from those gunmen, her pretty face filled with excitement.

Hearing Lynn's words, she replied, "I'm not sure either, but you can give it a try."

Receiving the reply, Lynn tore the puppet in his hand directly into pieces right in front of the Ventriloquist.

"Oh no! Mr. Scarface, my Scarface!!"

A shrill scream burst from Arnold's mouth as if he had lost something extremely precious, and he lunged onto the fragments scattered on the ground.

Whimpering sobs came from his mouth: "Wuwuwu... Mr. Scarface, Mr. Scarface, please don't die. How am I supposed to live if you die..."

Lynn grabbed the Ventriloquist Arnold by the collar and hauled him up, delivering two heavy slaps that instantly left both sides of the Ventriloquist's cheeks extremely swollen and red.

With those two slaps, this crying mental patient instantly became even more energetic.

Seeing this state of his, Lynn thought to himself, "As expected, these personality-correcting slaps really work best."

He picked up a rag sock nearby and handed it out in front of Arnold: "Try this new puppet. The new puppet is much easier to use than the old one."

Arnold looked at the rag sock in Lynn's hand, his face filled with a cowardly expression: "What about the old one?"

"The old ones sent to... Bah! They didn't pay for ad space, you actually think you can trick me into advertising for them?!"

Lynn glared at Arnold, not expecting this mental patient to be so cunning; he had almost advertised some second-hand software.

"If you don't want it, you won't even get a rag sock."

Under Lynn's blatant threat, a humiliated expression appeared on Arnold's face, and he tremblingly took the rag sock from his hand.

The very next second after taking the sock, another voice emerged from Arnold's abdomen.

"Hello Arnold, I am Mr. Socky."

However.

The instant those words came out, Lynn snatched the rag sock right back out of Arnold's hand.

"No, Mr. Socky, give Mr. Socky back to me!" Arnold lunged forward once more.

"Man!"

Under Laoda's elbow strike, a mere mental patient had zero strength to resist.

He was directly elbowed by Lynn and slammed onto the floor, a sharp pain shooting through his chest.

But the Ventriloquist didn't pause at all; he simply picked himself up and rushed in front of Lynn.

As if that rag sock was the sole hope of his life.

Then——

That sole hope was... torn to pieces right in Lynn's hands.

"No! Socky, my Socky... wuwuwu, Scarface has left me, are you going to leave me too?"

The Ventriloquist threw himself onto the shredded sock, his face covered in sorrow and tears.

Before he could continue crying, Lynn directly stripped the clothes off Arnold's body.

"Ah, no, my clothes!" Arnold let out a shrill scream.

But it still failed to stop Lynn's actions, and in the end, all four of his limbs were fitted with white rag socks.

Due to an extremely severe case of dissociative identity disorder, the Ventriloquist Arnold had a tendency to create other personalities.

The previous Scarface puppet and the rag sock were both evil personalities created by the Ventriloquist to protect his cowardly primary personality.

And within just a few seconds, Lynn had ruthlessly destroyed two of the Ventriloquist's personalities.

Having lost his important puppets, the Ventriloquist would experience withdrawal symptoms, just like quitting masturbation—if he didn't stroke it for a day, his whole body would itch all over.

Under normal circumstances, the Ventriloquist would spontaneously look for other items and slip them onto his hands to replace his puppet, protecting his cowardly primary personality.

But now, Lynn had given him four identical rag socks; would these personalities start fighting inside the Ventriloquist's body?

If these personalities started fighting, what would happen to the Ventriloquist whose limbs were out of control?
