A patrol servitor has encountered an intruder. Their assault has begun.
The servitor seems to have given up pursuit, believing the intruder had teleported away. This is a bit of a blind spot in the patrol spell that animates it, if you'll forgive the pun.
But there is a method to this madness: if an intruder were to teleport away, we wouldn't want the servitor to behave erratically, chasing an unseen intruder. Yet, it seems this strength comes at the price of a weakness to temporary blinding.
No matter, it will complete its route and encounter them again. And it has already fulfilled its role as an early warning system.
I activate the battle preparation protocol. In shifts, all who belong to the Order will change to their battle attire, in order that site operations continue throughout. Preferred routes are altered, passing traffic through more internal routes that intruders can't access as easily.
