The sharp hum of divine energy vibrated through the still air of the Sacred World of the Kai. In the center of the floating platform, two golden auras blazed brighter than the twin suns that orbited the realm.
Goku and Vegeta—both in their Super Saiyan 3 forms—stood side by side, their power shaking even the divine soil beneath their feet.
Before them lay the legendary Z Sword, embedded deep within an ancient stone pedestal, its hilt glimmering with inscriptions from a forgotten age. For countless eons, no god, no mortal, and no warrior had ever succeeded in freeing it.
And yet now…
With a synchronized roar, both Saiyans poured their ki into their muscles, the ground cracking under their pressure. Their golden hair lashed behind them like fiery comets, and the heavens trembled.
"Haaahhh!!!"
"RRRRAAAAHHHH!!!"
The stone began to quake. Cracks spidered across the pedestal as divine energy clashed with mortal fury. A deafening crack echoed through the realm, and suddenly—
Clang!
The Z Sword shattered free, shooting up into the air before landing in Goku's hands. For a moment, there was silence. Even the eternal winds of the Kai Realm stilled.
Kibito's eyes widened. "T-This… This can't be possible! How—how could mortals achieve such power?! Even we divine beings have failed to move the blade for eons!"
Shin stood frozen, his expression one of awe and revelation. Slowly, his lips curved into a knowing smile.
"Kibito… perhaps what we just witnessed… is not coincidence."
"My lord?" Kibito blinked in confusion.
Shin clasped his hands behind his back, his tone calm but filled with reverence. "Long ago, in the ancient scrolls of the Glind Race, there was a prophecy—a tale of two mortal warriors who would draw forth the Z Sword, and with its power, bring balance by defeating an absolute evil threatening the cosmos. Those two would be the saviors of the universe."
Kibito's jaw dropped. "Are… are you suggesting, my lord… that these two Saiyans are the warriors of that prophecy?"
Shin nodded slowly, his eyes fixed on Goku and Vegeta—two mortals whose strength had long surpassed even the gods'.
"Yes, Kibito. I believe so."
Kibito took a step back, shaking his head in disbelief. "But how, Lord Shin?! How can mortals ever rival divinity? We, the Supreme Kai and our kind, possess divine ki—something mortals can never hope to attain!"
Shin chuckled softly. "You're right, Kibito. But… perhaps you've forgotten something important."
Kibito frowned. "Forgotten? What do you mean, my lord?"
"Do you remember Frieza's brother—Cooler?" Shin said, glancing upward as if recalling the memory himself. "He achieved the Golden Form, channeling divine ki through his mortal body. If one of the most wicked beings in the universe could grasp that energy… then why not these two pure-hearted Saiyans, who live and die for their principles?"
Kibito's mouth opened slightly, and his protest faded. The logic struck deep. He bowed his head. "Perhaps… you are right, my lord."
Shin smiled faintly. "Power is not defined by birthright, Kibito. It is defined by the heart and will. And these two mortals have proven that today."
A few meters away, Rudra stood silently, having heard every word. His usually calm demeanor shifted to one of quiet astonishment.
Glind race… prophecy…? he thought, brows furrowing. Even the manga never mentioned this. Could it be… that Daima truly exists in this universe too?
He clenched his fist slightly. If that's true, then everything might be connected—beyond timelines, beyond canons.
Meanwhile, Goku lifted the Z Sword high, the weight nearly toppling him. "Whoa! This sword's crazy heavy! I can barely lift it properly!" he said with a sheepish grin.
Vegeta smirked. "Tch. You always struggle with the simple things, Kakarot. Let me handle it."
Before Goku could respond, Vegeta snatched the sword from his hands and swung it with fluid precision. The air split with each motion, creating sonic booms that rippled through the sacred field.
"See that, Kakarot?" Vegeta said with a proud grin. "This blade belongs to a true warrior. Maybe I'll give it to Trunks one day."
Goku chuckled nervously. "Hehe, yeah, sure, Vegeta. But be careful—you don't wanna break it!"
Shin and Kibito exchanged a glance, still overwhelmed by what they had witnessed. Finally, Shin stepped forward, his hands clasped respectfully.
"Son Goku. Vegeta. Congratulations," he said warmly. "By freeing the Z Sword, you have proven yourselves worthy of its power. And more than that—you have proven yourselves worthy of something greater."
Goku tilted his head. "Greater? What do you mean?"
Shin's tone softened, his gaze steady. "You both have demonstrated the strength, resolve, and purity of heart required of divine guardians. Therefore… if you so wish, I offer you the honor of becoming Supreme Kais of this sacred realm."
For a brief moment, both Saiyans stood stunned. The offer was beyond imagination—a mortal becoming a god.
But almost immediately, Goku scratched his head awkwardly and laughed. "Hehe, I really appreciate it, Lord Shin, but being a god sounds kinda boring, ya know? I'd rather keep fighting strong guys and eating good food."
Vegeta crossed his arms, his aura still flickering faintly. "Hmph. I refuse as well. I don't need some fancy title. The only throne I care for is one built on strength and battle."
Shin blinked, then nodded slowly. "I… understand. Perhaps that is why the prophecy chose you two. Your hearts remain unshaken, even before divinity itself."
Kibito looked stunned once more. "They refused the role of Supreme Kai…?!"
But Rudra only smirked faintly, arms crossed. From a distance, he watched the two Saiyans—his mind swirling with curiosity.
If Beerus offered them the position of Destroyer instead… would they accept it?
He pushed the thought aside, exhaling deeply. "Heh. Doesn't matter," he murmured to himself. "They're Saiyans. They'll always chase power their own way."
As the golden light of their auras faded, Rudra walked toward them, his calm smile returning. "Congratulations, both of you," he said. "You've done something even the gods couldn't. You've proven once again… why mortals are worth believing in."
Goku laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. "Thanks, Rudra! Guess we're full of surprises, huh?"
Vegeta smirked. "Hmph. Don't get used to it. Next time, I'll be the one surprising everyone—including you."
Rudra's smile widened. "I'm counting on it, Vegeta."
The winds of the Kai Realm carried their laughter across the horizon. Above them, the heavens shimmered faintly—as if the universe itself was acknowledging their rise.
And in that sacred silence, the prophecy of the twin Saiyans finally awakened.
