The instant Vegito moved, the battlefield ceased to exist as it once had.
Cell barely had time to widen his eyes before Vegito's fist crashed into his face.
The impact did not just shake the land.
It bent space itself.
Cell's body shot backward like a comet, tearing through mountains, oceans, and the curvature of the planet before slamming into the upper atmosphere. The shockwave arrived moments later, flattening everything beneath it.
Vegito appeared above him in a blur, his heel descending like a divine hammer.
Cell crossed his arms just in time.
The collision detonated with a roar, blasting Cell straight down into the planet's crust. The ground split open, magma bursting upward as if the planet itself was screaming.
From afar, the Z Fighters could barely comprehend what they were seeing.
Gohan stared, his breath caught in his throat. "He… sent Cell flying with one punch."
Piccolo narrowed his eyes. "This power isn't just added. It's multiplied."
Rudra felt it too. Even without Ki, his instincts screamed.
Vegito was on a completely different plane.
Cell burst out of the crater, steam rising from his body. He brushed dirt from his shoulder and laughed.
"Hahaha… incredible," Cell said. "So this is the result of Potara Fusion."
Vegito floated calmly, arms crossed, aura stable and overwhelming. "You're tougher than I expected. Still not tough enough."
Vegito vanished again.
Cell reacted instantly this time, twisting his body as Vegito's punch grazed his cheek. The air behind him exploded, leaving a vacuum crack in space.
Cell smiled wider. "There we go. Now this is interesting."
Vegito did not slow down.
He attacked from every direction, fists and kicks striking faster than sound, faster than light. Each hit carried enough force to destroy a star.
Cell blocked, deflected, and absorbed the blows, his body regenerating where necessary. He was being pushed back, but his expression never showed fear.
Only curiosity.
"Hmm," Cell muttered as he caught Vegito's fist. "Your speed is extraordinary. Your strength too."
Vegito smirked. "And you're still standing. Guess I'll turn it up."
Vegito twisted his wrist, breaking Cell's grip, and headbutted him with brutal precision. Cell's vision flashed white as he was driven backward again.
Vegito followed relentlessly, slamming Cell into the ground, then kicking him into the sky, then appearing above him again.
The sky darkened.
Clouds evaporated.
The planet's magnetic field destabilized under the pressure of their power.
Cell stopped mid air, raising a hand.
Vegito's punch halted inches from his face.
The air trembled between them.
Cell's eyes gleamed. "You're dominating the battlefield, Vegito. No question about that."
Vegito raised an eyebrow. "Sounds like you're admitting defeat."
Cell chuckled softly. "Hardly."
He released Vegito's fist and drifted backward, stretching his arms casually.
"I'm simply observing," Cell said. "Testing. Measuring."
Vegito frowned slightly. "You're holding back."
Cell nodded. "Of course. Rushing things would ruin the fun."
Below them, Vegeta's pride echoed faintly inside Vegito's mind, irritated.
"So he's mocking us," Vegito muttered.
Goku's calm confidence followed. "Then let's show him more."
Vegito's aura surged.
Golden light flared, mixed with crackling blue sparks. The pressure intensified, forcing the planet beneath them to crack further.
Cell felt it clearly now.
His smile sharpened.
"Yes," Cell said. "Show me the limits of fusion."
Vegito raised his hand, forming a dense sphere of Ki. The energy warped light around it, compressing power to an absurd degree.
"Let's start simple," Vegito said casually. "Catch."
He flicked the energy sphere forward.
Cell did not dodge.
He allowed it to strike his chest.
The explosion swallowed the sky.
For a moment, nothing existed but blinding light.
When it faded, Cell hovered in place, smoke rising from his body. Parts of his chest had been blown away, but they regenerated instantly.
Cell laughed.
"Marvelous," he said. "That attack alone could erase entire solar systems."
Vegito stared at him, unimpressed. "And you're still playing around."
Cell's eyes narrowed slightly. "Careful. You might misunderstand."
He slowly raised his power.
Not fully.
Just enough.
The space around Cell began to distort. His aura thickened, darker, heavier. The pressure pushed outward, colliding with Vegito's aura like opposing tides.
The planet groaned.
Rudra felt a chill run down his spine.
"So he really is holding back," Rudra whispered.
Piccolo clenched his teeth. "Even now… he's testing Vegito."
Vegito cracked his knuckles. "Good. I was hoping you'd stop pretending."
Cell smirked. "Oh, I'm still pretending."
Vegito vanished again, reappearing behind Cell with a knee aimed at his spine.
This time, Cell dodged cleanly.
Vegito's knee missed by inches.
Cell countered instantly, elbowing Vegito across the jaw.
Vegito skidded backward through the air, surprised.
Cell followed, landing a clean punch to Vegito's stomach, forcing him back further.
For the first time, Vegito felt resistance.
Cell hovered in front of him, eyes glowing with excitement.
"There," Cell said. "Now you see it. I wanted to know how far I could go… without breaking you."
Vegito wiped blood from the corner of his mouth and smiled.
"Careful," Vegito replied. "You might regret finding out."
The two warriors stared each other down, their auras colliding violently, sending shockwaves across the planet and into space.
The universe itself seemed to hold its breath.
The real battle had only just begun.
