Chapter 181 - CH 181 : HAKAI - 破壊

Beerus turned back to Rudra, seemingly forgetting Cell even existed. He floated a few inches off the ground, drifting closer until his snout was inches from Rudra's face.

"You," Beerus said. "The mortal with the noodles. You're the one who woke me."

Rudra's heart was hammering against his ribs like a trapped bird. "Yes, my lord."

"You're afraid," Beerus noted, his eyes narrowing. "Your scent is bitter with it."

"I would be a fool not to be," Rudra replied, his voice shaking but steady.

Beerus chuckled, a dry, raspy sound. "Good. Fear is the only thing that keeps the mortal realm from devolving into total chaos. It means you understand the hierarchy of reality. It means you are sane."

The God of Destruction landed softly on his feet, pacing around Rudra like a cat circling a mouse. "And yet, despite that fear, you brought that… thing… to my doorstep. Why? Do you enjoy watching your world burn?"

Rudra clenched his fists, finding his voice. "Because we couldn't stop him. We tried everything. Fusion, forbidden techniques, sheer will—nothing worked. Cell isn't just a fighter; he's an infection. He adapts. He grows. If he continues, there won't be a universe left for you to destroy, My Lord. He will consume it all."

Beerus stopped his pacing and let out a long, theatrical yawn. "You mortals are so dramatic. 'The end of the universe,' 'The death of all things'… I hear these pleas every time I wake up. Usually, it's just a minor warlord with a big ego."

He paused, looking toward the horizon where a pillar of dust was rising. "But I will admit… this one is exceptionally noisy. His existence feels… untidy."

The ground began to groan.

From the distance, a massive explosion of dust signaled Cell's return. He flew back with a speed that ignited the air around him, landing heavily in front of Beerus. His armor was cracked, and purple blood leaked from his lip, but his regenerative powers were already stitching the wounds shut.

"That was… interesting," Cell spat, wiping his mouth. "You didn't use an ounce of Ki. Some kind of telekinesis? Or just raw physical force?"

Beerus glanced at him with profound boredom. "Ki is a tool for children and mortals who want to play at being strong. What I use is authority."

Cell's aura flared violently, his golden-green lightning lashing out at the ground. "I don't care what you call it! I am the Perfect Being! I adapt! Whatever you just did, my cells have already recorded it. I'll overcome it in the next ten seconds!"

Beerus's tail swayed lazily from side to side. "You truly don't understand, do you? There is nothing to adapt to. You cannot adapt to the end of a sentence. You cannot adapt to the Erasure."

Whis stepped forward, his eyes twinkling. "My lord, I believe the creature requires a visual aid. He seems to have a very thick skull."

Beerus sighed, his shoulders dropping. "Fine. One second. That's all the time I'll waste on a mistake like you."

Beerus raised his right hand. He didn't take a stance. He didn't power up. He simply held out his palm, and a tiny, pea-sized sphere of violet energy formed at his fingertip. It didn't glow; it seemed to suck the light out of the air around it.

Rudra's breath hitched. The air felt cold—deadly cold.

Cell froze.

For the first time since his creation, the Bio-Android felt a sensation he didn't have a name for. His Saiyan cells wanted to fight, but his Frieza cells wanted to scream. Every instinct screamed that he was standing on the edge of a bottomless abyss.

"No… wait!" Cell stammered, his confidence evaporating like mist. "I can—I can be useful! I can—!"

"Hakai," Beerus whispered.

The violet sphere didn't travel; it simply appeared against Cell's shoulder.

There was no explosion. No heat. No gore. Where the energy touched, Cell simply… ceased. His shoulder vanished. Then his chest. Then his head. It wasn't like being burned or crushed; it was like an artist taking an eraser to a pencil drawing.

Cell's eyes widened in a final, silent moment of realization as his very soul was dismantled. His regeneration flickered, trying to heal a body that no longer existed in the stream of time, and then failed.

In less than a second, the "Perfect Being" was gone. No ash, no spirit, no memory in the wind. Just an empty space where a monster once stood.

The Aftermath

The silence that followed was heavier than the noise of the fight.

Rudra fell to his knees, his muscles finally giving out. He gasped for air, his forehead resting against the cool stone of the temple floor. The terror was still there, but the suffocating weight of Cell's presence had vanished entirely.

Whis looked at the spot where Cell had been, looking mildly impressed. "You used quite a bit of restraint, My Lord. You didn't even singe the grass."

Beerus shrugged, rubbing the back of his neck. "I didn't want to ruin the appetite I just worked up. That ramen was good, but it wasn't enough to sustain a full erasure."

The God of Destruction looked down at Rudra, who was still trembling on the floor. "Get up, mortal. You did well. Most of your kind come here barking orders or crying for mercy. You brought food and a genuine problem."

Rudra stood up shakily, bowing his head as low as it would go. "Thank you… Lord Beerus. You've saved the universe. You've saved Earth."

Beerus smirked, a dangerous, jagged expression. "Don't misunderstand. I didn't 'save' anything. Saving implies I care about the outcome."

He turned his back to Rudra, walking toward the temple entrance where more ramen boxes awaited. "I simply removed a speck of dust that was making the room look messy. Now, Whis! Where are those other flavors? I believe I smelled seafood!"

"Coming, My Lord!" Whis called out, following him with a graceful glide.

Far away, on the blue planet called Earth, the fused warrior Vegito stopped mid-flight. He looked up at the sky, feeling a sudden, inexplicable lightness in the atmosphere. The shadow that had been choking the world was gone.

The nightmare of Cell was over.

Or so they believed. Because somewhere beyond the borders of the multiverse, in a crack between dimensions where even the Gods of Destruction rarely look, something ancient and cold watched the erasure of Cell.

It did not mourn the Bio-Android. It did not fear Beerus.

It simply smiled, and waited for its turn to play.
