"Can you eat it?"
Sumi nodded repeatedly as she looked at the bacon burger, which she ordered at the Kua 'Aina (Aqua City), the famous Hawaiian burger shop nearby.
It might be a casual place; it lacked a romantic atmosphere, yet somehow she loved it, especially when they could sit side by side on the terrace with unobstructed views of the Statue of Liberty and the Rainbow Bridge on Odaiba.
Frankly, she had never considered trying those strange things, especially given her life; she had always taken the safe, steady path her parents had set, so when Nifuji showed her how to try many new things, it made her feel liberated.
Still, she knew well that if there was a reason why she dared to do this, it was because she had Nifuji, who stood before her, leading her, holding her hand, and if Nifuji wasn't around, she was afraid that she wouldn't be able to see this beautiful, romantic view.
Yup, previously, this area was like a bustling family destination, but as the sun set, it had become a shimmering, futuristic oasis.
Moreover, from their position, they could see everything unobstructed, with the bridge being the centerpiece of the night view. It was illuminated by warm light, Tokyo Tower glowing orange in the distance, framed by the skyscrapers of the mainland. Below the windows, Tokyo Bay reflected the city's lights. They could also see the futuristic Hotaluna or Himiko water buses—designed by anime legend Leiji Matsumoto—pulling into the pier, glowing like spaceships.
While enjoying those sceneries, they enjoyed their burger, fries, and juices, which were in American sizes, too.
Frankly, for the petite Sumi, the portion was too big, but fortunately, Nifuji was huge enough to consume it, especially when he got hungry after walking around.
"Those fries are nice."

The fries were very thin, ultra-crispy, and seasoned with a specific salt blend.
Still, the pineapple burger he had was also nice, with the pineapple being lightly grilled to bring out its sweetness, which cut through the savory, salty 100% beef patty.
"I-Is it good, Nifuji-san?" Sumi asked curiously, since unlike her, who chose a safe bet, his choice was just adventurous.
"It is." Nifuji nodded. "Do you want to try it? There is a part that I haven't eaten yet."
If Sumi wished, he didn't mind her eating his burger, as he wasn't the type who felt disgusted when he shared his food, but then again, it also depended on the person first, since if the person he shared with was a dirty one, he would leave directly.
"Eh?" Sumi was startled, yet she thought for a while before her impulse took over her, and she took a small bite on the area where Nifuji had been bitten. Yup, it was an indirect kiss, yet the sweetness of the pineapple, and the savory beef patty burst on her small tongue, as she chewed his pineapple burger while lowering her head shyly.
"Is it good?"
"Um!"
Sumi quickly nodded since, despite the unfamiliar taste, she found it good. "Do you want to try mind, Nifuji-san?"
"Is it okay?"
"Yes, please."
This time, Sumi moved her bacon burger near his mouth, telling him to eat the part that she had eaten.

Nifuji raised his brows slightly, but he was afraid to hurt her feelings if he hesitated to eat the part that she had eaten, so he moved forward and took a bite, as the incredibly hearty, thick-cut, crispy bacon that had a deep smoky flavor from the lava-stone grill burst into his mouth.
"Delicious, right?"
"Yes."
As Nifuji nodded, like a shy, small thief, Sumi bit her hamburger again, as she ate the part where he had bitten with a silly smile.
Still, without a doubt, after that one time of sharing, neither of them hesitated to share each other's food and drinks, especially when Sumi also sucked on his thick straw to drink his thick, sweet guava juice.
Naturally, Nifuji also tried Sumi's mango juice, which he had to say was hard to get a good fruit in this country.
Nevertheless, when they finished their food, they continued their "fake date," and this time, they walked around Odaiba, watching the " Night Transformation " of the Unicorn Gundam."
"Oohh..."
Probably, this was one of the famous parts of this area, the 20-meter-tall Gundam statue went through the "Destroy Mode" transformation. It lit up in pink and green, its armor plates shifted, and a massive projection show played on the mall wall behind it.
While Nifuji wasn't a child, as a man, he had to admit that this scene moved him, since he hated the giant robot transformation, right?
It just tickled him in the right place, which made Sumi laugh.
"Don't laugh, okay?"
"Um~!"
Still, Sumi laughed.
Yet, this was far from the end, as they made a walk on the "tunnel" of LEDs, a continuous path of lights that connects the major malls and parks. Frankly, it was bright yet beautiful, so it was okay.
Frankly, Nifuji should bring Sumi home, as it was already late. "Don't you need to go back? It's already late at night."
"Do you have to go home now, Nifuji-san?"
Somehow, Sumi didn't want that.
"Well, I still have a little time."
"T-Then... can we visit that place? I have heard that it looks the best at night."

From this point of view, Nifuji could see everything, which was like a massive, futuristic triumphal arch. Still, without a doubt, his favorite was the harbor view, as he got a direct, bird's-eye view of the Port of Tokyo container terminals.
When he saw the giant "giraffe" cranes and massive cargo ships lit up at night, he was just amazed at how technology had changed everything.
Still, Sumi stared at his profile once again, staring at his quiet face as she linked her arms against his, then leaned into his arm, rubbing her head slightly, trying to find a comfortable position, as she watched over this view together with the boyfriend of her dearest friend.
