"You don't really want to go back, do you?" Mike quickened his steps to walk alongside Qinghan.
"I do," Qinghan said.
"But we're already very close, we're about to find out what's there, and the person you're trying to rescue, she might not hold out until we call in more people."
"Do you believe what he said?" Qinghan retorted.
"What?"
"Living on light for a few years?"
"That... does sound incredible, but it might not be impossible."
"If what he said is true, Miss Tang should be able to hold out for a long time."
Qinghan's words left Mike momentarily speechless. Yes, if living on light for a few years is possible, Miss Tang has only been in there for a few days, surely she wouldn't freeze or starve to death.
Conversely, if she wasn't as lucky as the cowboy hat, she might have met her demise a few days ago.
Mike is still undeterred; he feels we're only a step away from the truth and sees no reason to give up.
