Some of the things in her backpack have already been used, so the bag is saggy. Whether there's anything else inside is obvious at a glance; there's not enough space to hide a person.
"Are you sure it's not an illusion?" Mike came in again, "We didn't hear any sound."
"Very close, it was calling right behind my head," said Doctor Du with a peculiar expression.
Ordinarily, people wouldn't get close to the back of someone's head to talk. Either they have secrets they don't want others to overhear, or they're trying to intentionally scare the person ahead.
Neither of these possibilities is valid between Doctor Du and me. We have nothing secret to discuss, nor would I try to scare him in this kind of environment.
"Did Little Fu hear anything?" Qinghan asked me.
"No, no one was there." I shrugged.
We are so close together, if someone could fit in the middle, it would have to be a photograph.
"Stay alert, illusions may occur." Mike seriously reminded us.
