Wang Le immediately denied it, saying he watched with his own eyes as people brought the dishes one by one. He had been sitting by the edge of the courtyard, not lifting a finger.
The stone table stood out in the open courtyard, its surface covered in dust. Bowls and plates placed upon it left circular marks, indicating they had been put there not long ago because there was dust even within the circular marks.
Mike disagreed, "Maybe you set it up yourself."
This made Wang Le anxious, "It definitely wasn't me. If you don't believe me, look at my hands!"
Wang Le extended his hands, wiggling his fingers for us to see his nails.
