Mu Qiu lowered her head and said nothing.
Cheng Zhirang maintained his squatting position, holding her hand, looking directly at her.
She remained silent, and he continued to wait.
Until she finally couldn't hold back and spoke up.
"I..." Her expression wasn't particularly troubled, at most unsure of how to voice it, "I want a bit of personal space."
Cheng Zhirang looked at her calmly, and after a moment said, "You just don't want me."
"I don't!" Mu Qiu didn't know where he got this idea, her eyes wide as she looked back at him, "Anyone with eyes can see how much I like you!"
"Then why don't you want to spend more time with me? I suggested living together, and you avoided it twice. I know you heard what I said that night."
Mu Qiu avoided his gaze, instinctively searching for reasons in her mind.
"Liking you and wanting some personal space doesn't conflict at all. You can't expect me to spend all my time on you, sometimes I need time and space to do what I love."
