He remained as usual, silent, sitting in front of the dining table.
To liven up the atmosphere, Nina Hayes raised her glass and said, "It's Caleb's first time at our home, let's welcome him."
Serena Sutton glanced at the drink in front of Caleb Lockwood and spoke, "Mom, he doesn't drink."
No drinking?
The others, upon hearing this, looked at Caleb Lockwood simultaneously.
Professor Sutton: "Doesn't drink?" That's not really a flaw; on the contrary, it's a good quality.
A man doesn't necessarily have to drink, especially when Caleb's profession requires constant alertness.
Norbert Suttun casually took a sip of red wine to moisten his throat and said indifferently, "In some situations, drinking is inevitable. If you don't drink at all, it might spoil the atmosphere. Others might think you look down on them."
This remark was meant to mock Caleb Lockwood.
