Xu Mumu was woken up by the thunder and lightning outside, opening her eyes to see a giant flash followed by a loud rumbling sound. The rain was pouring down heavily outside the window.
The sound of dogs came from outside, both dogs seemed a bit afraid of the thunder and lightning.
Soon, Xu Mumu heard Mrs. Liu's voice gently comforting the two dogs.
Xu Mumu closed the window in her room to prevent the raindrops from coming in. She glanced at the time on her watch; it was just past four.
When Xu Mumu woke up again, it was the alarm clock that did the job. Upon leaving her room, she saw that the rose bush in the corner had been blown all over by last night's storm; the stand had entirely fallen, with two rods broken, needing to be rebuilt.
The rain had not stopped yet, although it was now lighter.
