After the lock was smashed, the young guy next to him stepped up and pulled open the two cargo doors.
There weren't the imagined splashes of blood; inside the cargo box were a few random items piled up, plus some wooden racks.
A heavy smell of paint was laced with faint streaks of blood.
Lu Chuan frowned, put on gloves and shoe covers, and got ready to go up and check.
"Director Zhao, have people seal off the scene. Everyone else, move back."
Zhao Zhigao had clearly smelled the blood too. It was weak, but it was definitely there.
The Boss of the decorating company and the young guys saw this and immediately retreated to the back. A few of them whispered among themselves, not daring to speak loudly.
After all, when Lu Chuan had come earlier he'd just chatted, asked about the situation, his attitude very easygoing.
But the moment they smelled blood, none of them could stay calm anymore.
The police had already come several times in the past few days, investigating Li Baowei.
