For a moment, Prajna's face was full of confusion and bewilderment, his mind a whirlwind of thoughts, both hoping Ma Ran was truly a brainless brute, stepping into a trap knowingly, and worrying that Ma Ran had within that brief moment found a way to break the trap.

No matter what the truth might be, it has nothing to do with Prajna.
He could only be a spectator, an audience member, his emotions changing with the development of events, unable to decide the story's trajectory.
Because the Endless Plane's unified will gave him that one black seed, just as Ma Ran said, there is no way to actively draw even the slightest bit of power from it, only able to counterattack passively, triggering and entering the activation state once certain conditions are met.
