Chapter 251 - Ame-no-Minaka, the Power of a God!

Hyuga Aya looked desolate.

Uchiha Kai and Nara Kazama could only sigh helplessly.

Yes.

There was nothing they could do.

In some ways, the Hyuga clan was even more detestable than the Uchiha. Especially the branch family—treated more like slaves, property of the main house, not even considered true people.

And in this matter…

No matter how formidable Kai was, there was little he could do.

Because shinobi clans ruled themselves.

He could challenge the village leadership, but meddling in a clan's internal affairs would only make every other clan turn against him.

At best, he could find ways to kill the specific main family members harassing Aya.

But anything more than that—he simply couldn't touch, at least not yet.

After a long silence, Kai finally spoke again.

"Aya… uncover your forehead. Let me try something."

Yes.

This was the only method he could think of.

If he could unravel the Caged Bird Seal on her forehead, she could simply take refuge among the Uchiha.

The Hyuga clan wouldn't dare make trouble on Uchiha ground, no matter what clues they might find.

Though truthfully, Kai wasn't confident he could break the seal.

Nara Kazama frowned slightly, but urged, "Aya, trust Kai-kun."

"…Alright. I believe him," Aya said softly.

She took a deep breath, then bared her forehead, revealing the mark she regarded as her greatest shame.

A faint green X-shaped seal glowed dimly.

Kai said no more.

His eyes flushed crimson, the tomoe spinning rapidly before merging into the kaleidoscopic pattern of yin and yang—a Mangekyo Sharingan.

With his will, the eyes spun faster and faster, his ocular power draining wildly.

And then—

Ame-no-Minaka unfolded.

In that instant, he felt as though divine enlightenment descended upon him.

As if he were a god.

If he so wished—he could reverse the seas, upend the heavens, return the world to primordial chaos.

He could do anything.

Of course, Kai knew this was only an illusion.

To truly achieve such feats required one condition: infinite ocular power.

Which he did not have.

Taking a deep breath, he focused on the Caged Bird Seal.

Under Ame-no-Minaka's gaze, the seal had no secrets. Every curse formula, every strand of binding chakra, all laid bare.

For any competent fūinjutsu master, unraveling most of it would be trivial.

But—

The true difficulty was clear.

One part of the seal was tethered directly to the bloodline, the soul, and the Byakugan itself.

The seal maintained a fragile balance. Break it carelessly, and the bloodline, soul, and eyes would all be destroyed—killing the bearer instantly.

Now he understood why no one, for generations, had ever been able to undo it.

Without hesitation, Kai's voice rang out, cold and imperious, as though it were divine decree:

"God commands—the Caged Bird shall collapse."

The words were flat, yet carried the weight of law.

The tone—high above all life, as though uttered by a true deity.

And with that command—

The seal trembled, unwilling but compelled, beginning to unravel on its own.

As though Kai's words were absolute oracle.

Heaven and earth, wind and thunder—none could disobey.

First to break were the bindings on the bloodline. Then the tethers on the Byakugan.

But when the threads binding the soul were halfway undone—

Blood tears streamed from Kai's eyes. Ninety percent of his accumulated ocular power burned away in an instant.

Hss!

Agony surged through him.

Deep within his Mangekyo, stabbing pain warned him—continue, and his eyes would be destroyed.

No choice.

He ceased at once.

His Sharingan faded back to black eyes. His body slumped, nearly collapsing, only saved by Kazama catching him.

"Kai-kun!" Kazama cried. "Are you alright?"

Aya's face went pale with horror.

She rushed over, steadying him, and spoke in panic:

"If the Caged Bird can't be solved, it's fine!"

"Don't push yourself—I don't want you to get hurt!"

"Kai-kun…"

But Kai only took deep breaths.

After five long minutes, he steadied himself, cutting off their worried words with a faint smile.

"I'm fine. Just… drained too much chakra and ocular power. Nothing serious."

"With rest, I can recover."

He continued:

"Aya, your seal is already more than half undone. Only the soul-binding threads remain."

"For now—even if your Byakugan were gouged out, you wouldn't die."

"Go back to the Hyuga and keep your head down."

"When my eyes recover, I'll finish breaking the seal."

"And if you suffer injustice in the meantime—don't hesitate. Fire the signal flare. I'll come."

His tone was calm, steady.

Yes—he looked battered, but it was nothing grave. With some recovery time, he'd be himself again.

Helping Aya, he had three reasons.

First, they were comrades. They had fought side by side for so long, shared their deepest secrets. They were already like family. Of course he would help a friend if he could.

Second, to test his Mangekyo.

Since awakening it, he'd known its ultimate fusion power—Ame-no-Minaka.

He knew it was strong, but how strong, he hadn't grasped until now.

The trial gave him clarity:

It was overwhelming. Beyond reason.

When it activated, he truly felt like a deity of creation.

The world in his palm. Fire could freeze, water could burn. Reality could invert. Worlds could crumble, void could give birth to form—all with a thought.

Yet—

Its power was matched by its terrifying cost.

Even after stockpiling far more chakra than a typical Mangekyo, a single attempt at unraveling the Caged Bird had nearly drained him dry.

To truly overturn heaven and earth, or create from nothing… The energy required was unimaginable.

So he resolved—until he achieved the Eternal Mangekyo, he would not push this ability further.

Third reason—

Aya was beautiful. Her character was good. They knew each other deeply.

If he could free her from the seal… perhaps she would make a fine wife.
