Silk and I...
I had been her subject. At least, that's what I understood from what the other goddesses had told me. She was supposedly the most powerful goddess among them, yet after Cora had apparently killed me, Silk had used nearly all of her power to rewind time and bring me back. Whatever she had done had left her vulnerable, and somehow, that had led to her being killed.
Or maybe she wasn't actually dead.
Could a deity even die?
I had no idea, and the more I thought about it, the more questions I ended up with. There were too many things I didn't understand about Silk, the goddesses, and what had happened before the timeline was changed.
"You listening, Evan?" Tuck asked.
"Huh?" I shook my head slightly and realized I'd been staring into space. "Yeah, yeah. I'm listening. I just saw someone I knew, sorry."
"Alright, well," Tuck continued. "So them and I are cool now, I guess."
"That's good."
