It's skin is tough… forget drawing blood my knife didn't even leave a mark. It turns its terrifying large body towards me, its eyes dead set on killing me in this moment. It raises its arm and swings powerfully, attempting to backhand me away. By that time I'd already retreated.

The sudden burst of pain causes the abomination to move quickly, it swipes its hand backwards. With no time to dodge I hold up my arms, and jump in the direction of the attack to reduce at least some of the damage.

The hit still lands hard, his body flies back and he rolls on the ground in the direction of the deep pit. But he makes it to his feet. Pain coursing through his body, now fueling his strength while Aiden uses this time to reload his gun.

It tries to swat the bullets away like flies but to no avail. Then it gets on all fours, and tenses its legs up. It lunges at Aiden, but he doesn't move… still holding the gun to out, looking down the iron sights two more shots fire cutting through the air.

The beast falls to the ground, rolling while holding its head. One shot landed, directly in its eye. Now half blind, it seems to be even more enraged.
It smashes its arms into the ground over and over in pain. The destruction causes dust to fly into the air. Shit… I can barely see.
Cutting through the dust like a knife it charges right towards me.

I jumped back just in time, it's fist landed heavily on the ground causing shards of rubble to fly outwards. It's not letting up…
It swipes its arm, then again, and again. Each hit getting closer to striking me…

The hit comes in fast, and instead of dodging backwards I roll forwards under his attack. I flip the blade in reverse grip and jam my knife into it leg.

Small cuts rip and tear into its flesh. Again… nothing anything major but it could be useful to damage its leg over time. The abomination is still recovering, I run towards Aiden to regroup as he reloads his gun.
"We got a few hits in, but it looks like the more we hit it the more angry it gets."

The beast bends its knees, then leaps upwards. Launching itself high into the air. Both of Its arms raised high in the air, coming directly for us.

Aiden and I run in separate directions as fast as we can.

Even though they made it out of range from the initial attack it was useless. The impact was so great it made a large crater in the ground beneath it, shooting rock fragments in every direction.
I can feel the debris ripping through my skin as they fly past and imbedded into my skin while I cover my eyes with my arms.

It doesn't let up, I hear heavy footsteps coming towards my location. On instinct I jump back, landing on unstable footing… luckily nothing hits me, but as soon as I'm able to open my eyes. I see it already holding its arm back preparing another attack…
I can't dodge, I can't dodge, I can't dodge… with no options left I hold up my arms to at least protect my head

The pain is something I don't think I'll ever get used to. This mind numbing pain even worse than having them broken the first time, but In just a few seconds I was already healed, with phantom pains still coursing through my body.
I look upwards and see it swinging its fists at Aiden. He's managing to avoid everything but It's attacking relentlessly, and each swing gets closer to hitting. He can't dodge forever.
I kick my feet off the ground and sprint towards it.
The phantom pain, my muscles burning, the fatigue making my body ache. All of this pain is just adding to my power.
I make it to them in less than 3 seconds.
