Chapter 87 - Two Walking Disasters

Ur: "..."

This dark guild is truly a disgrace. A dignified dark guild master not only gets counter-killed by his own puppet, but even has his memories devoured after death. If Ur were one of their members, he would've stripped off his pants and fled the continent out of sheer shame.

Ur was genuinely furious.

In the original story, he'd never seen villains this realistically infuriating. If they'd just died outright, that would've been fine, but instead they left behind such a rotten mess.

Damn it, isn't this just screwing people over?

"ROOOAAR!!"

"ROOOAAR!!"

"ROOOAAR!!"

Suddenly, all five hundred magical beasts beneath the castle let out a unified roar and surged forward, launching a full assault on the fortress.

Ur understood that this was Singer's response. His reaction from within the gate to Gildarts' earlier action. Singer was hiding inside the pitch-black gate, but his mental power clearly wasn't restricted by it.

"Think of a way to ask the guild for reinforcements!"

After leaving those words behind, Ur strode up to the three Beast Apostles and, grabbing one in each hand, hurled all three of them off the castle. Then he himself jumped down right after them.

Ur's move completely stunned Mirajane, because it looked exactly like he was throwing three people to their deaths. Brutal to the extreme!

Not only Mirajane, but even the three Beast Apostles themselves were dumbfounded, screaming wildly in midair.

Is this guy a devil?

This is utterly inhumane!

They had already mentally prepared themselves to die… yet now this lunatic was personally escorting them into the jaws of the beasts. Just look at this. How is this something a human would do?

Between them, who exactly was the dark guild member here?

The three Beast Apostles wanted to curse him out, but before they could get the words out, they slammed heavily into the ground. Immediately afterward, a large group of magical beasts surrounded them, forcing them to fight back at once.

In an instant, all kinds of magic exploded like blooming flowers amid the herd of magical beasts. Ur also landed. Just like the three Beast Apostles, the instant he touched the ground, more than a dozen magical beasts swarmed toward him. Dark energy coiled around their bodies, powerful and evil.

"GRAAAH!" A leopard-like magical beast suddenly charged at him. Ur drew his blade without hesitation and cleaved it cleanly in half.

Magic Power +7!

"ROOOAAR!!"

Another magical beast launched a sneak attack from behind. Ur slashed backhandedly, instantly severing its forelimbs, then stepped forward and drove his blade straight into its brain.

Magic Power +8!

The early waves of magical beasts weren't strong. Ur killed each beast with one strike. Feeling the constantly increasing magic power numbers on his status panel, Ur had completely transformed into a brute. He was exactly like a certain knife-wielding old schemer—there wasn't the slightest trace of a mage left in him.

But this time, Ur was truly helpless.

Using magic might offer explosive power, but it drains stamina far too quickly. Swordsmanship, on the other hand, required diving deep into danger, but it greatly enhanced his endurance and allowed him to fight for much longer.

Boom!

Just as Ur was slaughtering wildly, a tremendous explosion erupted to his left. Ur turned toward the sound and saw that the ground in his left front area had somehow shattered into square fragments. Standing atop the broken ground was a figure, surrounded by over a dozen dead magical beasts.

Gildarts had entered the fray.

Although Gildarts had not yet reached his peak strength from later in the story, his current power

already far surpassed that of an ordinary S-Class mage.

That single attack had outright killed more than ten magical beasts and heavily injured another dozen. That terrifying, destructive power made Ur's eye twitch violently, his heart aching beyond measure!

To Ur, those magical beasts all represented magic power!

Even though he knew the chances of obtaining that magic power himself were slim, watching so much magic power go to waste still made his heart throb with pain.

Left with no choice, Ur converted heartbreak into motivation and began fighting even harder.

But just as Ur finished killing one magical beast, another earth-shaking explosion suddenly erupted from his right side.

Ur's mouth twitched.

He hurriedly glanced toward the right front and just happened to see Mirajane's Satan Soul: Macro instantly vaporizing seven or eight magical beasts in a single blast.

Ur: "..."

Why does it feel like, with these two violent disasters around, there's no need to call for reinforcements at all?

Watching his two teammates obliterate entire areas with a single spell, Ur couldn't stop the corner of his mouth from twitching.

Fortunately, there were no forest protection laws in this world. Otherwise, after today's battle, Fairy Tail would probably have to pay compensation until it went bankrupt.

Mirajane's and Gildarts' magic were already among the most destructive in Fairy Tail. With so many magical beasts present, it gave the two of them a perfect chance to go all out without restraint. Now, with hundreds of magical beasts as targets, they finally had a chance to go all out without restraint.

In just a few minutes, more than a hundred magical beasts were wiped out.

However, within a two-hundred-meter radius around the castle, the forest had completely vanished. All that remained were bare earth, shattered rock fragments, and massive craters gouged into the ground.
