The sun sank behind the mountains, and the moon rose to perch on the treetops.
The group had spent the entire afternoon meticulously dividing Hitsuya's corpse. At last, everything had been accounted for: 2 Dragon Eyes, 4 Large Dragon Fangs, 30 Small Dragon Fangs, 18 Dragon Claws (8 Forelimbs, 10 Hindlimbs), 1 Dragon Hide (with attached scales), a pile of Dragon Bones, a pile of Dragon Meat, 13 Dragon Blood barrels (handcrafted wooden kegs), and Dried Dragon Tendons.
With the aid of the Celestial Spirit capable of precise measurement, the corpse had been arranged neatly and systematically.
According to their pre-agreed distribution plan, Ur ended up with: 1 Dragon Eye, 1 Large Dragon Fang, 6 Small Dragon Fangs, 4 Dragon Claws, and 3 barrels of Dragon Blood.
He also claimed the majority of the dragon's tendons, bones, and hide. The remaining dragon meat was entirely his as well, with the others only allowed to take minimal portions—just enough to sample.
This arrangement had been discussed from the start. In fact, it slightly shortchanged Ur. After all, of all the items on a dragon mountain, the least valuable would naturally be the meat. Blood and flesh, without fresh blood, had little use beyond eating.
When Ur first made the request, the others had only hesitated briefly before agreeing instantly, as if terrified he might change his mind. Once Ur had selected his share, the rest of the group followed the original plan and collected their allotted spoils.
After a night of rest, by the next morning, everyone except Ur and Natsu began to make their way home.
It wasn't that Ur or Natsu didn't want to leave; it was simply that Ur had too much loot to carry all at once. Ur, however, weren't in a rush. He casually found a spot, built a campfire, and began roasting dragon meat.
While the meat sizzled over the flames, he also took the opportunity to deposit all the gold coins from the two small wooden chests.
Ding!
[Congratulations, Host Daddy! Successfully deposited 2,302 gold coins ヾ(^▽^*)))]
"Mmm~ this feels good!" Ur exhaled, a grin spreading across his face. Seeing the system panel display the words and the system calling him "Daddy", alongside over two thousand gold coins, gave him an indescribable sense of satisfaction.
Over two thousand gold coins. A fortune he had never before possessed.
And that was just the coins. If he sold the other gems in the chests, he could easily reach close to three thousand coins—nearly a billion J.
"System, let's do a triple draw," he said, hand sweeping dramatically.
It had been a long time since Ur had drawn anything. With the system constantly rolling out "new services," he had too many expenses to spare money for draws.
[Understood, Host Daddy (v^_^)v]
The system responded, instantly deducting 200 gold coins from his balance. Once a player's accumulated draw amount exceeded ten million, each additional ten million increased their membership level and awarded another draw.
The familiar black-hole animation appeared. In a flash, three beams of light descended onto Ur. He felt subtle changes within his body.
[Congratulations, Host. You have obtained the passive ability of the Hero: Lee Sin, Blind Monk's "Insight"!]
[Passive Skill – Insight: The Host's perception is enhanced. When in darkness, perception multiplies, and training in physical techniques receives additional amplification.]
[Congratulations, Host. You have obtained the passive ability of the Hero: Janna, Storm's Wrath's "Wind Affinity"!]
[Passive Skill – Wind Affinity: The Host gains a B-Class aptitude for wind magic. Wind becomes the host's ally, and when in a storm, both cultivation and spellcasting speed are greatly increased.]
[Congratulations, Host. You have obtained the passive ability of the Hero: Darius, Noxus' Hand's "Godslayer's Might"!]
[Passive Skill – Godslayer's Might: The Host's body is infused with a trace of godslaying power from beyond distant space-time, granting godslayer strength.]
Ur's expression remained calm as he received the new passives.
No excitement. No surprise.
His main goal with this triple draw was to see if he could gain a passive that would accelerate spiritual cultivation.
Clearly, he didn't get that lucky.
Of the three passives, Insight seemed related to spiritual perception but was actually a bodily talent, drawing on hidden power within the body rather than spiritual energy. Its perceptual boost was minor and barely affected Ur at his current level.
Wind Affinity was nothing extraordinary, a standard elemental aptitude boost. Godslayer's Might sounded impressive, but in practice, it was practically useless. Forget whether gods even existed in this world; the so-called trace of godslayer power was laughably weak.
"Guess I should avoid gambling on luck like this in the future," Ur muttered quietly.
Not every hero's passive would be compatible with this world.
After a moment's thought, he continued.
"System, next upgrade Void Hunger, Evil Equilibrium, Perseverance, and Way of the Wanderer by one level each."
Ur had realized a problem. Ordinary Level 1 passives had little effect on him now; his rapid growth had outpaced them. Without upgrading, these skills would start to hinder his progress. Level 2 upgrades didn't increase power drastically; most simply enhanced existing abilities slightly.
The upgrade process was rapid.
Ur's body trembled as everything was completed.
Void Hunger became Dimensional Hunger. Efficiency at absorbing life essence increased, plus it gained a storage function, allowing Ur to survive several days without food or water.
Evil Equilibrium upgraded to Transcendent Equilibrium. Magic absorption efficiency rose from 10% to around 16%, just under one-fifth.
Perseverance upgraded to Life Body. Max physique increased, and self-healing improved from 200% to 300%.
Way of the Wanderer upgraded to Sword Spirit. Sword talent enhanced and a new ability, Sword Will, appeared—likely the hidden talent Ur had triggered earlier.
Upgrading three passives didn't immediately boost Ur's combat strength, but it would provide massive long-term benefits… though it "hurt a little" during the process.
Even after finishing these upgrades, Ur wasn't done. He said, "System, next…"
