Chapter 340 - Chapter 341 Ferchi's Office

After returning to Hogwarts, Kayson took a shower and had lunch.

Although Fudge and Umbridge, those two troublesome individuals, had both been dealt with by him.

They still caused him a bit of trouble, for instance, the Little Wizards at the Slytherin long table were looking at him with extreme fear.

What could he say about that?

Hmm... nothing good, it was done, so let them be.

After lunch, he returned to his office and found two figures already waiting on the sofa.

"It's you two, what's up?" Kayson asked, looking at the Weasley Twins sitting on the sofa.

"Professor, good news!" George was the first to stand up, waving an envelope in his hand.

"What good news? What's that?" Kayson took the envelope curiously and quickly realized what it was.

In short, it was a Wizengamot summons, ordering the Weasley Twins to be expelled because they showed no respect for Ministry of Magic official Umbridge in class.

"Oh... isn't this exactly what you wanted? As long as Dumbledore helps you pull some strings, you can use this to take a break from school," Kayson said, waving the envelope.

"But Professor, didn't you say before that it's best not to use reasons like this from the Ministry of Magic, which carry a sense of punishment, because it would look like we're afraid of the Ministry of Magic?" the Weasley Twins said in unison.

Kayson returned the envelope to the Twins.

"Now you don't need to be afraid... Your father might write to you, but even sooner, you might want to wait until dinner time; The Daily Prophet should have an urgent news report then."

Sure enough, at dinner time, large numbers of owls flew in through the windows, delivering the day's urgent edition of The Daily Prophet.

Kayson also picked up a newspaper and glanced at it.

Firstly, Fudge resigned as Minister for Magic, and, overcome with grief, unfortunately passed away.

Secondly, the Godel family of three has been confirmed as Death Eaters, and Kayson's act of killing their entire family was a righteous purging, and other Little Wizards should not be afraid.

Thirdly, Barty Crouch officially became Minister for Magic and declared war on Lord Voldemort and all Death Eaters.

And while Kayson was reading the newspaper, the Auror Office of the Ministry of Magic had already been fully mobilized to search every corner of the England magical world: Diagon Alley, Knockturn Alley, various Wizard villages, and any place with high-energy magic reactions.

This included various pure-blood residences.

The rest was some personnel reshuffling within the Ministry of Magic. Percy Weasley, who had been away on a business trip, returned to find his immediate superior dead.

He was also transferred to a dead-end department, and immediately felt as if his world had collapsed.

"Oh, then has that so-called Head of Moral Education also disappeared?" Kayson had only read half of the newspaper, so he asked Snape, who was sitting nearby reading the other half.

"The Head of Moral Education and the Hogwarts Castle caretaker have been combined; it's Filch's responsibility now," Snape said concisely.

"Oh ~ Filch, congratulations!" Kayson raised his glass and congratulated Filch, who was sitting not far away.

"Just a title, I don't even have an office," Filch said modestly.

"That's not so. Now, Filch, you have become the Head of Moral Education, and it's time your office was expanded, don't you think?" Dumbledore said with a smile.

"Uh... is that possible?" Filch asked in surprise.

"Perhaps we can entrust this responsibility to Professor Kayson," Dumbledore said, naming him.

"No problem, wait until tomorrow, I don't have classes!" Kayson readily agreed.

"Anything else? Like Umbridge, what does the newspaper say about her?" he continued to ask.

"Hmm... other than the Ministry of Magic dismissing her in the personnel changes, there's nothing else," Snape said casually, flipping the newspaper.

"Then there's no problem; no mention of her name is the best news," Kayson's eyes slowly narrowed into a curved slit.

...

The next day, Kayson got out of bed and looked at his schedule...

Hmm...

Expand Filch's office.

Very good, very energetic!

After washing up, he simply had breakfast and then went to Filch's office with him.

Filch's office wasn't very large; a huge shelf filled with students' confiscated items blocked most of the already limited natural light in the office.

"Is there anything in this office that needs to be kept?" Kayson asked, taking a general look around.

"My desk, my bed, and the students' confiscated items. Oh, and my collection of torture implements," Filch said.

"??? Torture implements? Why would you have something like that?" Kayson said in surprise.

"These were used to punish students before, but ever since Professor Dumbledore became Principal, this set of items was abolished," Filch said with a touch of regret, looking at the gleaming, well-maintained torture implements.

"Oh... alright," Kayson's mouth twitched helplessly. Anyway, this set of torture implements would never see the light of day again, so he let Filch keep them as a memento.

Although this memento wasn't very healthy.

Thinking this, he directly used his ring to transfer Filch's desk, bed, and the confiscated items on the shelves to his own office, and then put the torture implements into a box and placed it directly outside the door.

After clearing those things out, the entire office became a little brighter, but only a little; the window was truly a bit small.

"Do you want to enlarge the window?" Filch asked.

"Let's just expand the office directly; that way, your bed won't have to be squeezed next to your desk," Kayson said, reaching out and directly opening up an empty classroom next door. Then, he used stone bricks to create two small single rooms, one as a bedroom and one as a washroom. The remaining area was thoroughly tilled by Kayson using MC flames before he officially began the grand renovation project.

First, he enlarged the windows to improve ventilation, then replaced the stone floor with wooden planks to make it look warmer.

The stone walls were also adorned with various tapestries and the flags of the four Houses plus Hogwarts, making it much more comfortable.
