(With all the special grade sorcerers present, the timeline for entering the Culling Game would logically be earlier than in the original story. But just treat it as the original timeline. It won't affect anything.)
About ten minutes later, Mukuro arrived outside the Tokyo No. 1 Colony.
Several hundred meters away from the barrier, civilians had already been evacuated by jujutsu personnel and the police, and along the way, traces of cursed spirit residue that had not fully faded could still be felt everywhere.
Less than a single day had passed since the battle in Shibuya, yet groups of cursed spirits were already rampaging freely across Tokyo, while the young sorcerers rushed around constantly to deal with them.
"Ijichi, what's the current situation?" Mukuro asked as usual, looking at the junior who had been waiting there.
"According to information from the Windows, the inside is already in complete chaos. Cursed spirits rioted before dawn, and a lot of people died. Many players are also becoming active..." Ijichi replied while flipping through slips of paper in his hands, each one carrying messages sent from inside.
When ordinary people who had originally been trapped managed to evacuate toward this side, they brought notes out with them. When no one was around, the Windows would also find ways to push information outside. In short, both sides were doing their best to stay in contact.
"Uncle Mukuro, are we going in too?"
At that moment, Megumi, Yuji, and the others, who had been busy all night, arrived as well. Megumi's face was full of exhaustion, yet he still spoke stubbornly, wanting to help however he could.
"From Shibuya yesterday until now, you've already done more than enough. Get some rest and leave the rest to us," Mukuro replied with a smile as he patted his nephew's shoulder. "Though I often say I want to leave the future to you all, this era still belongs to us."
It was good for the younger generation to want to take up the banner, but the battlefield inside was still too much for them, especially in their current exhausted state. They were not without people to rely on.
Even now, there were still those in the jujutsu world who carried the title of strongest.
"Oh right, Sukuna. I'll be watching you."
Just as he was about to step into the barrier, Mukuro suddenly turned back and pointed at Yuji. His gaze sharpened, his presence burning like drawn blades.
Still thinking of stealing Megumi's body?
Absolutely impossible.
"Stop acting tough, brat. Once I get out, the first one I kill will be you." A small mouth appeared on Yuji's face as Sukuna spoke with arrogance and disdain.
Even after being beaten badly by the man in front of him just yesterday, Sukuna still did not believe he would lose at full strength. From the moment he was born, he was destined to stand at the peak of strength and dominate all eras.
But…
Inside the mental world within Yuji's body, within Sukuna's innate domain, his expression shifted slightly as he frowned.
Mukuro's words were too concerning. Could it be that, just like yesterday, he could keep watching through Megumi's perspective with some kind of ability?
If that were true, it would be troublesome.
The King of Curses fell into thought.
"I'm off."
Seeing that Sukuna only threw out a threat and said nothing more, Mukuro waved his hand and officially stepped into the Culling Game.
* * *
Two minutes earlier, inside the corresponding barrier.
"Who the hell are you? I've seen you guarding this place for a while now. Were you the ones helping those people escape and hide?"
A light-colored haired woman wearing a crop top and carrying a flight pack flew toward assistant manager Nitta, her voice filled with irritation.
Those ordinary people who had failed to evacuate in time, or who thought everything was just a prank and did not leave immediately, were valuable sources of points.
Yet this woman and her companions had been calmly organizing and helping newly arrived players the whole time, which annoyed her greatly.
"And Amai, you clearly saw her. Why didn't you signal us?"
The woman turned her head, her sharp gaze looking ready to devour the man hiding in the corner.
"Hanyu, I'm really sorry. I actually only just noticed her too..."
Cold sweat covered Amai's forehead as he apologized again and again.
He was just a small person trying to survive. He had always been like this since childhood, never taking the initiative to bully others, always flattering the strong so he would not become the one being bullied.
That alone was enough.
So when Amai saw someone weak like himself desperately trying to help others, the pity he thought he had buried deep inside stirred again. He thought that if Hanyu and the others did not notice, maybe he could pretend not to see it.
Deep down, he had once wished to stop being so cowardly and slippery. He wanted to be like Yuji, the Tiger of West Junior High, and help others.
But when harsh reality stood before him, he could only bow his head to survive.
"Just this once. If it happens again, I'll crush your skull," Hanyu said, her temper like a bomb ready to explode.
"Yes!"
Amai swallowed hard and lowered his head. In the end, just like always, he still lacked the courage to stand up.
"There are special grade sorcerers at our school. The Culling Game will end soon. Are you really going to stay stubborn?"
Though she said that, Nitta was actually panicking a little. As an assistant manager who had entered alongside the Windows, her combat ability was so low that calling her useless in battle would be generous.
"I don't care who you people are. Once you enter this place, you're prey."
Hanyu pulled down her goggles as the machine on her back roared to life and she prepared to attack.
Whoosh!
Just then, a sound like a hand brushing across water echoed out as Mukuro's figure emerged.
"Fushiguro-san?!"
Nitta's face lit up with joy. As one of the assistant managers second only to Ijichi, she naturally knew who he was.
"Another one!"
Hanyu did not hesitate at all and charged straight ahead. In her eyes, the two of them were nothing but walking points.
She had completely forgotten that when new players entered, they were supposed to fall randomly from the sky into a teleport point somewhere inside the barrier.
"Hm?"
Mukuro lightly stepped onto the ground, and the floor cracked, sending several small stones into the air. Then he casually tapped one of the fragments with his finger.
The pebble shot forward like a streak of light and collided with the charging woman.
Bang!
Her body crashed to the ground, and on her forehead was a bloody hole that pierced clean through her entire body.
