With a furious roar, everyone charged toward Thanos at the same time.
Even if it was Thanos, so what? They had not lost yet. They still had hope.
Even if Thanos was unimaginably powerful, they would not stop moving forward until the moment of death. Only then could they possibly achieve victory.
No, more accurately, they only hoped they could achieve victory.
Thanos was simply too strong.
So strong that it inspired despair. Without clinging to hope, they could not even believe victory was possible in this war.
Groot swung out his tree branch-like arm and smashed it toward Thanos. His strength was among the very best even within the entire Guardians of the Galaxy.
But facing this attack, Thanos remained calm. He casually grabbed Groot's arm.
He glanced at Groot coldly, then with a violent motion, hurled him away.
Tony Stark was wearing his Vibranium armor.
It was time to test its full performance.
Nolan had once helped him upgrade this suit. Tony had always felt he had never found a worthy opponent to truly test its limits.
Now that Thanos had broken through everyone's assault, Tony Stark immediately took to the air without hesitation and roared.
"Die, you bastard!"
A barrage of missiles shot out from the armor's launch ports.
But Thanos merely gave a slight shake.
All the missiles detonated several meters away from him.
When the smoke cleared, Tony Stark's expression darkened completely.
Useless. Completely useless.
His proud attack had been effortlessly ignored.
Not a single scratch was left on Thanos.
This terrifying level of defense once again proved how dangerous he truly was.
"Damn it!"
But Tony did not give up. This was only the beginning.
Although his missiles had failed, that was not his ultimate weapon. The others also had their own methods.
Raw defense alone would not be enough to defeat them.
"Let me!"
Rocket Raccoon shouted and fired a missile straight at Thanos.
After firing, Rocket showed a smug expression.
This was his proudest weapon.
But Thanos simply swung his Tyrant Blade and knocked the missile away.
It exploded before even reaching him.
During the chaos, Nebula secretly slipped into the battlefield and moved toward her sister Gamora.
She did not know what their father intended to do with Gamora, but she did not care. All she wanted was his approval.
But before she could act, Peter Quill noticed her movements.
"Gamora, watch out!"
Peter Quill shouted.
Gamora reacted just in time.
"Nebula! What are you doing?"
Noticing Gamora's gaze, Nebula stopped hiding. She did not attack immediately, only spoke.
"Father wants you to return. Sister, stop resisting. You know you cannot resist him. Father never fails at anything he sets his mind to."
Gamora's expression darkened.
As expected, Thanos was here for her.
But she never wanted to return to that cage again.
"You know I will never go back. If you want to take me, then try."
Gamora raised her weapon. If Nebula attacked, she would show no mercy.
At least until she defeated her.
"Then don't blame me."
Nebula charged forward.
She grit her teeth and attacked Gamora relentlessly.
But every strike was firmly blocked.
Gamora remained calm.
They had fought each other countless times.
She knew Nebula's strength very well.
She was confident.
Soon, Gamora seized Nebula by the throat.
"Leave, Nebula. Staying by Thanos' side is not a good choice. You still have a chance to turn back."
But Nebula's eyes only filled with hatred.
From childhood, it had always been like this.
No matter how hard she tried, she was never better than Gamora.
In order to gain her father's approval, she even turned herself into a half-mechanical being.
But it was useless.
No matter what she did, she could never surpass Gamora.
And now, the Gamora who once had Thanos' favor had betrayed him. That was something she could never accept.
"You will regret this, Gamora. No one can escape from Father!"
Nebula showed no fear at all. In fact, there was even a trace of anticipation in her eyes.
If Gamora killed her, perhaps that would finally earn her father's attention.
Gamora fell silent.
She understood Nebula's anger.
She understood why Nebula had become like this.
But she could never return to Thanos.
And yet, they were still sisters.
A hint of hesitation appeared in her heart.
Her grip loosened slightly.
In that instant, Nebula reacted.
She twisted free, grabbed Gamora's weapon, and struck her neck with a precise blow.
Gamora collapsed instantly.
Nebula smiled.
She had completed her task.
Father would surely be pleased.
But she did not realize what Thanos truly planned to do with Gamora.
Meanwhile, Peter Quill saw Gamora fall unconscious and his expression turned furious.
He ignored the ongoing battle and rushed toward them.
But a figure appeared in his path.
"Peter Quill."
Proxima Midnight stood before him.
It was this man who had once ruined her mission.
It was also this man who had helped that damn Nolan Locke kill her husband.
Peter Quill's expression darkened.
He would never forget one of Thanos' Black Order.
The Black Order were Thanos' most elite warriors.
Even now, despite awakening his powers, Peter had no confidence he could defeat her.
No, worse. He was not even confident he could survive.
But there were things he had to do.
Without hesitation, he charged forward.
A fierce battle erupted instantly.
Peter Quill had awakened divine power, but it was still unstable.
Proxima Midnight, one of the Black Order, had experienced countless battles.
Every strike was a killing blow.
Peter was forced into constant defense.
Soon, his body was covered in wounds.
Meanwhile, the situation on Thanos' side was no better.
Even with everyone attacking together, they were barely holding on.
Quicksilver's attacks had little effect.
Wanda could only briefly slow Thanos' movements.
Tony Stark's Vibranium armor could only guarantee survival, but even Vibranium was not completely safe against Thanos.
The Guardians of the Galaxy were also unable to contribute much in this kind of battle.
Thanos was not only powerful in strength and defense, but his combat skill was terrifyingly refined.
Quicksilver managed to land a hit once, but after that Thanos adapted.
Even at extreme speed, Quicksilver could no longer surprise him.
And his attacks still could not threaten Thanos at all.
The same was true for everyone else.
The only way to defeat him was to slowly exhaust him.
But that was far too difficult.
After so long, Thanos showed no sign of weakening. In fact, his strength only grew more oppressive.
Tony Stark had one more concern than the others.
Thanos possessed the Infinity Stones, but he had not used their power yet.
That meant they had not even forced him to his limit.
Just thinking about it made Tony's expression grim.
He once asked Nolan Locke about Thanos. They had fought before.
Nolan had once been forced to retreat.
At the time, Tony thought that maybe he could even defeat Nolan Locke.
But now, facing Thanos himself, he finally understood how terrifying Nolan Locke truly was.
Because Nolan Locke was someone who had forced Thanos to go all out.
Even pushed him to use the Infinity Stones.
At that moment, when all hope seemed lost, a ship slowly descended.
Before it even landed, a figure jumped out.
"Hey, you bastard! What are you doing to my son?"
Yondu stared at Proxima Midnight with a cold expression.
He might not be able to beat Thanos, but he was not afraid of her.
Seeing Peter Quill in danger made him furious.
He whistled sharply.
An arrow shot out and flew straight toward Proxima Midnight.
She quickly blocked it, but Yondu was far stronger than Peter Quill.
Soon, wounds appeared on her body.
Proxima Midnight's expression changed, and she turned to engage Yondu instead.
This gave Peter Quill a brief opening.
He immediately rushed toward Nebula.
Nebula reacted quickly and met him head-on.
But this time, things were different.
Peter Quill struck with overwhelming force and sent her flying instantly.
He ignored her and rushed toward Gamora.
He had to make sure she was alive.
Nebula looked shocked.
How had that "useless" man become so strong?
Meanwhile, Gamora slowly regained consciousness.
She looked at Nebula with a complicated expression.
She still hoped Nebula would change.
But that hope was fading.
Nebula stared back with hatred.
There was no doubt left.
Then, from afar, Thanos spoke calmly.
"Useless waste."
He glanced at Gamora.
"Gamora, come back with me. If you refuse, I will have to take you by force."
Despite being surrounded, his voice carried absolute authority.
Gamora felt a chill in her heart.
But Peter Quill stood in front of her.
"Gamora, don't worry. We've got this. No one takes her from the Guardians of the Galaxy!"
Thanos smiled.
He raised the Tyrant Blade.
The moment Drax charged forward, Thanos moved.
He had been holding back until now.
But no longer.
He rushed straight at Drax.
The blade came down without mercy.
A deep wound opened across Drax's chest.
"Got me?"
Thanos looked back at Peter Quill again.
"Before, I was only holding back."
