She said it lightly, already turning, and then she did the thing that made Raizen's stomach drop: she left the bag.
Just left it. Sitting on the forecourt stone in front of six teenagers and an open street, a fortune slumped there like a sack of laundry, and she walked away from it without a backward glance. Feris made a small strangled noise. Arashi looked at the bag, then at Raizen, then back at the bag.
Lay stopped at the far edge of the forecourt and leaned against a lamppost, waiting.
Raizen went, because the alternative was making her come back.
