Chapter 4: fellowship & community

Several days after the events of Adam's battle with the White Palace criminal Hazanoki Walker. Once more traveling through the vast emptiness of space, Adam makes his way back onto the black-star ship he was fighting on.
While floating above the ship, Adam's eyes focused on the crews of suited repairmen sent by the federal alliance working to fix the ship's exterior. Softly, he lands atop the black star-ship's metallic surface.
Walking a few steps forward, Adam stops, then turns to look up at the damage the walker caused before he pulled him into an alternate dimension from his picture crash orb.
'…This damage is more extensive than I initially thought. I'll use complex configurum to help mend the damage.'
Walking into the ship, passing the gate, Adam feels a light tap on his back. He turns to look down and sees a young boy holding some toy while he points at him, asking: "uhh.. Mister, are you the golden one whom I saw on the news a few days ago fighting that scary sword guy? My parents said you were protecting us from the bad man." The young boy looks at Adam with an air of admiration yet nervousness at seeing someone so much taller than he usually is.
Adam smiles warmly, then shakes his head, dropping down to a knee to look at the young boy face to face and replies, "Yes, that was me on the news, and don't worry too much about the scary man, as I'll be searching for him again very soon, along with a few others on my list." He lightly pats the boy on his head, gesturing for him to run back to his parents.
The young boy smiles and quickly
runs off, waving Adam a nice goodbye.
While getting up from kneeling, Adam turns back to sense the different levels that are being repaired, and a second later, he uses complex configurum to scout which areas of the black-star ship are still most damaged from his battle.
Quickly, Adam dashes upwards to the third and fourth levels of the black star-ship. While flying up using Burst Flow, his eyes go digital, with mechanical humanoids splitting off from his body as he continuously creates his multipurpose recon drones to send to the lower-level hangar and help speed up the rebuilding process.
Shortly after, Adam lands on the upper levels, sending more of his recon drones to begin repairing damage to the hulls, pipes, and more intricate systems, such as weapon systems used for defense against potential threats.
Elwin called in the federal alliance workers to handle the cleanup. As Adam himself was actively involved in the rebuilding process, aside from his drones, he touched various parts of the ship's hull with his hands, using complex configurum to add more defensive measures within the ship's internal structure.
Sensing the people watching him. He turned to look at the workers, gave a thumbs-up, and smiled. "You guys should have the rest of this level secured. I'll go to the roof of the ship and finish up top." Not a moment later, Adam used burst flow and launched himself upward, landing onto the black star's rooftop.
Landing at the top of the Blackstar ship, Adam activated Complex Configurum, creating more recon drones from out of his body, commanding them to scatter around the roof of the ship and begin a sequence of various repairs to the hull.
While they worked, he found one of the large slashes the Hazanoki Walker had made during their battle. He began reconstructing the materials from his hands, placing them on the destroyed area and rebuilding it rapidly.
After the repairs were finished, Adam called back all the recon drones on the ship's roof, assimilating them back into his body while he headed back down to the black star ship's main levels.

Two hours later, on Blackstar ship Delta.
While sitting in one of the local parks, Delta flies through the reaches of deep space, passing by planets, stars, and beautiful cosmic showers.
Adam sits on a bench while sipping on a bottle of cold liquid, scrolling through his digital watch device to find any leads towards another bounty he can get to.
Over the past few weeks, he's been searching for various White Palace criminals and writing down notices from the federal alliance about targets.
Today, he would get his mark.
A Ping goes off on his watch, and Adam looks down at the notice that speaks about a 4-Star criminal named Luna and her group who have been causing havoc for delivery lines between planets in the galaxy he's currently in.
"…This can't be good. I'll send out a notice to the federal alliance telling them that I'll pick up the hunting trail and start observing the whereabouts of this gang."
Adam gets up from the bench, then turns off his watch, making his way out of the park.
As he begins walking down a busy street, he looks around at the everyday lives of those who reside in these massive cities, housing no fewer than 4 billion lives per black star ship.
The second and third levels are where the majority of people reside, with irregulars coming in all different looks and sizes, and many of those who would use these environments as potential targets to commit crimes against others within these massive city areas.
In the deeper parts of the black starship's inner city areas, which were primarily. means to either smuggle weapons, drugs like red spice, or trade in extortions of materials for items.
Adam knew that every Blackstar was different to a degree. Still, now, as he watched firsthand, he would come to fully realize how criminal organizations such as the black mafia and Thieves Guild, controlled by Luna, would use these places to funnel credits in and out to grow their empires.
Despite the effort he would need to put into battling against these groups, he was not in the slightest bit afraid. If anything, he wanted to prove himself capable of helping those around him
who didn't have the strength to defend themselves against these odds.
One of Adam's first main-line goals is to take down and dismantle the Thieves Guild led by Luna, a powerful thief. His second primary goal is to continue providing aid to the various communities that live on these ships, using his trigger abilities, such as complex configurum, to deliver it.
A second later, Adam gets a ping on his watcher, pulling up a bounty poster of one Luna subordinate named Daren the Wild, a three-star criminal who helps smuggle in credits for weapons trade.
He smiles warmly, then looks back up.
"Let's begin this hunt for a little thief."
