Chapter 281 - Having a Meal

After Zabuza left, Ryōsuke took Haku to a restaurant and sat down.

They waited quietly for Zabuza to return.

It would likely take some time to have several black robes with red clouds tailored.

Even if work began immediately, it would probably take two or three hours.

The Cloud Village ninja would likely search this area soon.

Zabuza was a veteran shinobi, after all; he would surely realize this.

He would likely urge the owner to finish the work quickly.

Ryōsuke proceeded to order several dishes from the owner.

There was tempura, sushi, takoyaki, and eel rice.

The ingredients at the port were very fresh, so the food was bound to taste excellent.

Thus, he waited patiently.

Between traveling to the Cloud Village and then out to sea, he hadn't eaten much these past few days.

Now, he could truly enjoy himself.

After finishing this meal and resting, they could head to the Land of Waterfalls.

Haku, sitting in her seat, asked curiously.

"Lord God King, is the Akatsuki really such an evil organization?"

Ryōsuke answered with certainty.

"Of course it is."

"The Akatsuki is an evil organization."

There were four main groups within it, each with their own distinct goals.

Nagato wanted peace for the shinobi world.

Obito merely wanted to create a world where Rin existed.

As for Uchiha Madara, he was also just pursuing a pointless pipe dream.

A rational person would never agree to Madara's delusion.

Only those who were completely mired in suffering and devoid of hope would chase such a phantom.

They sought happiness within a dream.

However, such people were a tiny minority.

Among them, he felt Nagato's logic was the most plausible.

Collect the Tailed Beasts, revive the Ten-Tails, and use its invincible power to deter the entire shinobi world.

To make every faction in the world fearful enough to never start a war.

In a way, that could be considered an indirect method of achieving peace in the shinobi world.

But Nagato was flawed.

Because he had experienced the agony of losing a companion.

That friend was Yahiko, who died due to the schemes of Danzō and Hanzo.

This was another seed of disaster sown by Danzō.

Because of this, Nagato and Konan became incredibly radical—to the point where, in the original story, they couldn't even tolerate their teacher, Jiraiya, who had both taught and raised them.

One reason was that Jiraiya was a Konoha shinobi, so they likely blamed him by association.

They harbored a deep hatred for Konoha, which is why in the original story, they were willing to use the Almighty Push to level the entire village in one go.

Because those people wanted the entire shinobi world to feel their pain as well.

They were truly capable of slaughtering an entire village.

It was no exaggeration to call such people evil.

Hearing the God King's words, Haku agreed in her heart that the Akatsuki was an evil organization.

The God King was absolutely right.

"Lord God King, is there anything I can do?"

Ryōsuke patted Haku's head and said with a smile.

"Your task is to grow up well. The Illuminati will still need you in the future."

He wanted Haku to live well and grow up, avoiding the tragedy of the original story.

The original story was far too cruel; she had ended up dying at the hands of that guy Kakashi.

It was a miserable end.

It was unnecessary; Haku's only wish was to live a good life.

Since Ryōsuke had the chance, he would naturally let her live happily.

He would handle everything else.

Hearing the God King's words, Haku's expression turned serious.

"I understand, Lord God King."

In truth, with her small stature, she probably couldn't share the God King's burdens even if she wanted to.

The most important thing was to grow up so she could eventually assist him.

Before long, the owner served the food.

Looking at the delicious food, Haku immediately felt it was much better than what Zabuza used to bring her.

As expected, the God King treated her the best.

Seeing the spread of food, Ryōsuke's appetite surged.

This world was different from his original one; there weren't many additives here.

Perhaps it was because technology was underdeveloped.

All the food was made fresh.

It was fresh.

There was no need for additives.

He immediately picked up his chopsticks and began to eat.

He quickly polished off a large amount.

Of course, he still left enough for Haku.

Then he called the owner to order more.

He felt like he could still keep going.

Beside him, Haku had only eaten a few bites before she stopped and looked at the God King in shock.

'The God King's appetite is truly enormous.'

She knew the God King's true identity, and he looked even younger than Zabuza.

Yet he was already so powerful, completely overwhelming Zabuza.

She had also asked Zabuza if he could capture a Tailed Beast alone.

Zabuza had told her plainly that even if there were ten more of her, it would be impossible to capture one.

Because Tailed Beasts were the strongest creatures in nature.

Even for someone as strong as he was, there was little chance unless a Kage-level powerhouse led the way.

Haku guessed that the God King's strength might be related to how much he ate.

'If I just eat a bit more and train harder, maybe I can become that strong and grow up faster, too.'

So, she also began quickly stuffing food into her mouth.

She soon finished the portion the God King had left for her, her stomach feeling full.

When the owner brought out the new dishes, Ryōsuke started eating again.

Haku likewise increased her eating speed.

She ate until her stomach couldn't possibly hold any more.

Her chopsticks finally stopped moving.

She couldn't take another bite.

Ryōsuke looked at her, puzzled.

It wasn't like Haku was starving like she used to be.

'Is Haku... why is she still acting like a starving ghost?'

"Haku, if you can't eat anymore, don't force yourself."

"You can eat less; there's no need to stuff yourself."

"There will be even better food in the future."

Haku struggled to say.

"I want to be as strong as you, Lord God King, so I must eat a lot of food too."

Ryōsuke was somewhat speechless.

"There's no need for that."

"Everyone has a different constitution."

"You don't have the type of body that gets stronger the more you eat."

"You might even just get fat, which wouldn't look good."

"It would actually hinder the progress of your strength."

Ryōsuke's constitution was not something ordinary people could compare to; even the formidable bloodlines of the Uzumaki clan or the Sage Body were inferior to his.

In his heart, he didn't want Haku to get too fat; he certainly didn't want to raise a chubby girl.

He knew that Haku would eventually become an elegant beauty.

For now, he considered this an investment in the future.
