Chapter 335 - Chapter 335: Skirmishers vs. Ying

Currently, the shouki no kami, the prodigal, controlled by Balladeer, stands thirty to forty meters tall. Inside the mech, an activated Gnosis serves as its energy core, providing it with nearly infinite power, and it can freely wield five elements: Anemo, Electro, Pyro, Cryo, and Hydro.

At this moment, Balladeer possesses genuine God-level combat power.

On the other hand, the average height of Nahida, Lumine, and Paimon is estimated to be just over a meter, only enough to help Balladeer's mech with a pedicure if they jumped.

The main DPS is Lumine, who wields four elements: Anemo, Geo, Electro, and Dendro. The God of Wisdom, Nahida, serves as support, while Paimon, acting as a cheerleader, can only serve as a mascot.

Any discerning person could immediately tell that this lineup for a PK was a battle of vastly unequal strength.

However, it was Lumine, wielding a dull blade, who launched the first attack. He charged towards Balladeer's direction with his sharp blade, his objective clear: the joints on Balladeer's mech.

Seeing Lumine's attack, Balladeer merely sneered, "Insignificant worm, how dare you challenge a God?"

Then, his figure flickered and disappeared from Lumine's sight. Lumine, who was charging, stopped subconsciously to search for Balladeer's position, a bad premonition suddenly filling his heart. He shouldn't have stopped... As expected, in the next moment, a massive bolt of lightning struck from behind him, too fast for Lumine to dodge. In a critical moment, a bright yellow aura lit up around Lumine, and a giant Geo boulder abruptly appeared before him, attempting to block the incoming lightning.

With a loud crash, the boulder shattered directly, and the splintered fragments struck Lumine, causing him immense pain. But compared to being hit directly by the lightning, this outcome was much better.

Lumine looked gravely at the behemoth before him. He had initially thought this large brute would be slow and sluggish like the Ruin Guards of Khaenri'ah, with all its skill points allocated to ATK and area DMG. But he never expected this mech to also have a teleportation function, which made things much more troublesome.

"Swirl, Vortex!"

Balladeer casually waved his hand, and three massive Hydro whirlwinds formed on the ground, sweeping towards Lumine from three different directions.

These were not mere Hydro whirlwinds, but products combining the powers of Hydro, Anemo, and Cryo. The icy cold water, aided by the Anemo element, formed turbulent and sharp Hydro whirlwinds. If one were to be accidentally caught within them, death would be almost certain.

Lumine dared not underestimate them and quickly distanced himself from the Hydro whirlwinds. However, the three Hydro whirlwinds, controlled by Balladeer, pressed closer, continuously compressing Lumine's movement space.

Seeing himself forced into a corner, Lumine had a flash of inspiration. Azure Anemo power instantly surged forth, and a whirlwind formed in his hand. However, this whirlwind's direction of rotation was precisely opposite to the Hydro whirlwinds released by Balladeer.

Lumine unleashed his Anemo current towards one of the Hydro whirlwinds on the left. After the two whirlwinds collided, the effect was immediate: the momentum of that Hydro whirlwind was greatly weakened by Lumine's whirlwind. Then, a Starfell Sword descended from the sky, directly smashing and dispersing that Hydro whirlwind.

Seeing an opening to escape, Lumine's heart rejoiced, and he quickly fled to the left. But in the next moment, Balladeer's massive mech seemed to have anticipated this, teleporting next to Lumine. Its giant mechanical right arm, wreathed in dazzling lightning, slammed down heavily in Lumine's direction.

"Suppress!"

Lumine narrowly dodged Balladeer's mech's hammer strike. Just as he was about to sigh in relief, the continuously expanding lightning ring on Balladeer's right arm made Lumine's heart stop for a moment. As expected, two consecutive large-area lightning shocks caught Lumine off guard, directly sending him flying by the massive shockwave, and he crashed heavily to the ground.

"Lumine, are you okay?" Paimon, who had been watching the battle in fear, quickly flew to Lumine's side to check his injuries. Lumine stood up with a pained expression, shaking his head with a smile at Paimon, "I'm fine..."

Balladeer: "Hahahahaha, you ants, have you still not realized the reality between us? Buer, this was originally a battle between us Gods, yet you hide behind humans. What a self-pitying God you are, I am ashamed of you!"

Nahida said nothing, her bright large eyes glowing green, as if countless fragments appeared, undergoing some kind of analysis, and she quietly said something while looking in Lumine's direction.

Lumine pointed his sword at Balladeer high above and said disdainfully, "Hmph! It seems your power as a false God is nothing special. You're just relying on your infinite elemental power to recklessly blast everything. Compared to Raiden Shogun and Ei, you're still far from it!"

Lumine's words infuriated Balladeer. He hated it most when others mentioned his mother in front of him, especially when they said he was inferior to Beelzebul, which made him furious, causing him to increase the mech's output power even further.

Balladeer: "Since that's the case, I'll let you witness the consequences of the great sin of blasphemy!"

...The subsequent battle was mostly Balladeer attacking and Lumine dodging. Balladeer initially enjoyed the process of tormenting the weak, but as his attacks repeatedly missed, his patience was slowly being worn away.

"I'm tired of playing. Let me finish this, Purge All Evils!"

The five Electro Sigils behind the mech dispersed mechanically, generating dozens of black holes behind him. Countless missiles shot out from the black holes, indiscriminately bombing everything in front of them.

Facing such a dense offensive, Lumine fearlessly charged towards Balladeer's mech. After skillfully dodging dozens of missiles, Lumine successfully reached the front of Balladeer's mech. He leaped up, swiftly ascending Balladeer's mech, aiming directly for the core on the mech's chest—the part where the Gnosis was housed.

In Lumine's understanding, the reason Balladeer could drive such a massive mech to launch extravagant attacks was because of the Gnosis as its energy core. If this energy core could be destroyed, it would be a fool's dream for Balladeer to drive this mech with his own strength.

Lumine moved nimbly on Balladeer's mech, quickly finding a perfect opportunity. He leaped down, thrusting his dull blade fiercely into the mech's chest plate. The force was so great that the entire mech vibrated.

Lumine had once used this move to pierce through the Jade Chamber, but this move failed on Balladeer's mech. The chest plate protecting the Gnosis was surprisingly indestructible. Before Lumine could follow up, the reacting mech arm slammed down towards his position, forcing Lumine to leap back to dodge.

However, Lumine's jump also exposed his position in mid-air. After all, Lumine was not Paimon or Nahida, and he had not yet regained his ability to fly. He could only watch helplessly as he fell in a calculable parabolic trajectory.

As expected, Balladeer's mech's iron fist delivered a direct head-on blow to Lumine's body. Lumine's figure, like a cannonball, slammed heavily into the ground, creating a deep crater, unable to rise again.
